Leepo summons an eagle to attack the crocodile and provide some distraction.
Bite Attack: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (2) + 3 = 5
Bite Damage: 1d4 ⇒ 2
| StephNyan |
Revenge is swift, and it only takes a hit from both the feral Ludwick and Pooka to knock out the small crocodile.
Leepo summons an eagle to attack the crocodile. The eagle's confused by the crocodile already down, but decides to attack the elf instead.
The eagle doesn't moves, meaning it can spend a full-round action for a full-attack with all its natural weapons.
Talon 1: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (15) + 3 = 18 Damage: 1d4 ⇒ 1
Talon 2: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (9) + 3 = 12 Damage: 1d4 ⇒ 2
The eagle inflicts a small wound on the elf. Despite the small size of the wound, it's enough to disable the elf.
The elf woman isn't able to take any actions, but when she snaps out of her daze she cries out in horror: "Jumblegrin! Nooo! You filthy lycanthropes and lycanthrope lovers!"
Turn progression - round 2:
Ludwick 6/10HP
Leepo
Pooka 18/24HP (Luna 6/19HP)
Tavariel -4HP & 4NL (Disabled)
Beads
Sun
Oleander 16/18HP
Map updated.
Those in bold are up, but the others may go ahead and make their posts.

Oleander moves cautiously closer to the crocodile to try to check it is not actually dieing. If it is she tries to bind its wound, otherwise she tries to tie it up.
She calls over her shoulder
"We are neither lycanthropes or lycanthrope lovers. There is foul magic afoot that aflicts my compaions that we wish to put an end to."
She waves the silver sword she picked up off the hunters earlier.
"Would those who loved lycanthropes hold these?"
To the others she says ."Hold your fire, and call off the Eagle. We have no quarm with this woman her her compaion."
Assuming out of rounds for a moment
She goes over and presses the blade to Pooka "See, the silver doesn't hurt him. No lycan friend would carry a blade such as this."

Assuming things calm as Oleander expects, Leepo casts Speak with Animals and then asks the eagle to scout the area and report back.
Oleander Anwamanë

Oleander adds
"You crocodile is okay. He won't die today anyway. We are sorry about hurting your friend, but we were taken somewhat by surprise."
She approaches the elf, hands open with no weapons drawn.
"What can you tell us about the lycanthropes, and the druids of the area?"
| StephNyan |
"I don't know anything about the druids, but the lycanthropes will all die," the elf says as she stands up.
She takes several cure light wound potions from her backpack. After drinking two, she pours two in her crocodile's mouth.
CLW: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4
CLW: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2
CLW: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4
CLW: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4
"My name's Tavariel. This is my hunting ground, and I want you to leave."
Tavariel turns around and walks off, Jumblegrin the crocodile following her. "Be gone when you've finished doing whatever it is."
Ludwick doesn't find any herbs that could help to heal someone.
Time for a nap, or first some healing?
Oleander Anwamanë
|
"They are not lycanthropes! Calls Oleander after Tavariel.
"And people say I have an attitude problem" murmurs the elven ranger to herself.
"Could you help us cross the river to leave your hunting grounds?" she asks the departing figure?
"Well, I'm glad we met her before we rested. Anyone feel like crossing the river and getting out of her hunting grounds tonight? If doubt there are many more dangers there, the crocodile would surely have eaten anything in the river..."
Pooka Bladespinner
|
With the elven ranger leaving, Pooka is left sputtering in rage and anger at the gall and stupidity of the hunter.
"You're lucky my friends here are more generous than I. Your attack was unwarranted, and even when presented with irrefutable proof, you are still too stupid to see the truth. We have no interest in staying on your land, only in removing the threat the druids pose to the area. If you weren't so thick headed and stubborn you would see we fight for the same cause."
After the assailant has left, Pooka turns to his companions. "I don't care either way if we cross tonight or tomorrow morning. If she is smart, she will leave us alone. I will not spare her life a second time. Luna took a viscous bite though, so if anyone could spare some healing powers, I would be immensely grateful."
I vote healing! I just realized I didn't spend any money/PP on healing of any sort, so I don't have any to offer myself... I can pick up the slack/repay at the end of the scenario though, to do my part!
Sun Desin
|
"For healing, I am somewhat limited. I currently only have access to a light refresh at this moment. Upon sunrise I can have two, but then I will be out of my more powerful spells. I will be more than happy to spend any and all I can to assist however. "
Assuming max healing, spoiler below
Cure light: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (8) + 1 = 9
Basically I have only one cure light prepped right now but I can prep two for my new spells for the day.
Sun Desin

Profile updated to reflect new spells for the morning with two cure lights prepped. Let me know who wants to fight for them. Right now it looks like pooka and luna are down the most HP, though they have the most to spare also. I'll most likely heal luna once more and then ludwick if that is acceptable once we make it though the night.
Oleander Anwamanë
|
Remember if we rest, we heal naturally overnight as well, and if someone has heal skill they can double that.
Sun Desin
|
The problem with providing long term care is that I would not get any rest during the night. It is considered a light activity, but it still requires 8 full hours of "work".
Pooka Bladespinner
|
Luna is good with that amazingly awesome full boat heal Sun, we can keep going with a few nicks and bruises. I will be at 18HP, and Luna will be at 15HP. That should be good enough for now. (only 6 and 4 hp away from full, respectively, with a nights rest we will only be 4 and 2 away from full respectively.)
| StephNyan |
I'm moving this forward. Tavariel isn't going to return after you beat her and Jumblegrin up.
When Sun's partially healed Luna up everyone goes to bed, safe for the one taking the first watch. The night passes without any interruptions. The next morning you all wake up rested.
+1HP for every level you have! :)
Make a Fort save, unless you're already transformed or you have the Wild Empathy class feature. Animal companions, familiars, mounts, and eidolons don't have to either.
Ludwick and Pooka each take an additional 2 points of Int and Cha damage to a minimum of 2.
Oleander Anwamanë
|
Oleander looks to the group.
"Anyone good with traps?"
Unless anyone speaks up, she will carefully work her way along the logs Take ten for acrobatics of 12 and then try her best to disarm the trap.
disarm: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (11) + 2 = 13
IF anyone has skill in disarm, please speak up! I suspect Oleander will end up with an axe in her tummy for her trouble.
Leepo Toggenburg

Sadly, Scritch is the one that is best with traps (+6) , I think, but that last one did him in. I would like to summon him and see if we can heal him up, but I think he was being affected by a poison as well. Unfortunately, I have nothing to help him out with a poison. I do have a scroll I can use to heal him, though.
Pooka Bladespinner
|
If you can use disable device untrained, I could at least give it a shot. At the very least, my higher AC would make it harder to hit me. Or we could find another way across the river...
Leepo Toggenburg
|
I have 1 scroll of it, but regular healing works to, right? I know natural healing does not, but I think standard CLW does.
After the eagle reports back from scouting the area, Leepo will dismiss it and prepare to re-summon Scritch to see what she can do to help him.
Pooka Bladespinner
|
GM - I will wait for you to rule on whether or not I can try to disarm the trap in place of Oleander, simply on account that I have a better AC than her and a slightly better chance of not getting hit...
Leepo Toggenburg
|
Thanks, Sun - I don't see anyone else stepping up, so if you don't mind casting one on my eidolon, I will summon him now and see if we can get him back in action.
Leepo dismisses the eagle, and starts the summoning process to call Scritch back to her side.
| StephNyan |
@Ludwick: Ludwick realizes his condition is becoming worse. So he may be able to figure that out.
@Pooka: Disable Device cannot be used untrained. I'm not allowed to change that in PFS.
Fort Leepo: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (10) + 2 = 12
No one else transforms this morning, but Pooka and Ludwick feel there's more change within them as their intelligence and charisma both drop.
The eagle summoned be Leepo returns. (So you used 1 spell to summon the eagle. Do you also use a spell or ability to communicate with it?)
Leepo summons Scritch again after the eagle's disappeared. The eidolon returns in the exact same state as when dismissed, except he's stabilized.
Fort DC18 vs giant wasp poison: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (16) + 3 = 19
The poison stops affecting Scritch seconds after he's summoned. (He still has the 2 Dex damage from earlier.)
Sun partially heals Scritch, but the eidolon remains unconscious. (-1/8HP)
Oleander Anwamanë

"Well, I can't disable this axe trap, so we either swim, build a bridge around the side, or someone walks into it.."
admits Oleander.
Darn, didn't realise DD was trained only
She looks out to see if there are any one obvious ways across, or logs that may be able to be used to avoid the axe trap.
Leepo Toggenburg

Summoning the eagle was one of the 7x/day cast Summon Monster I special ability. This is the second time I used it. Cannot use it and have eidolon at same time, however. Then used gnome magic Speak with Animals 1x/day to communicate with it. I do really only have 1 minute for it to take a fly-around and come back, however, so it may not learn much.
Leepo Toggenburg
|
"Thanks, Sun. I believe he is out of immediate danger. I will see if I can help him regain consciousness."
Leepo pulls a scroll out of her bag, and casts lesser rejuvenate eidolon.
Rejuvenate eidolon, lesser: 1d10 + 1 ⇒ (9) + 1 = 10

Pooka, realizing that the group is wading valuable time, marches across the bridge, set and ready for the axe trap to spring. He takes one step at a time, setting himself at each step, prepared to do his best to ward off the inevitable attack
taking my time to to go total defensive, giving me a +4 to ac, for a total of 24

Before Scritch is summoned again, Leepo talks to her eagle. She's able to learn that Briar Henge is only an hour's walk from the party's current position. There were, give or take, four humanoid creatures close to a tree. There were also several other creatures in varying locations.
Pooka doesn't like how long it takes to disable the trap, and decides to just spring it.
Axe trap: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (9) + 10 = 19 Damage: 2d6 + 4 ⇒ (6, 1) + 4 = 11
He is incredibly lucky, and manages to dodge the axe trap when it activates. Everyone else also passes the river, and an hour later the party arrives at their destination.
Briar Henge is a bristling fortress. The compound is roughly circular and approximately 100 feet across. The walls are made of tangled thorn bushes twelve feet high, although the compound does not appear to have a roof. The only break in the prickly wall is a gap five feet wide and eight feet high. Hanging ivy covers this doorway and blocks the view of the interior of the compound.
You're in front of the door. See the new map.
We by the way switched to Google Docs :)

Does Scritch still have a Dex impairment? Does anyone know how something like this might be remedies?
Leepo seems concerned for Scritch as they make their way to their destination. "His wounds are healed, but he has not yet fully regained his balance. Sun, you seem knowledgeable in the ways of healing. Do you think he will?"
Once they arrive at Briar Henge, Leepo looks around to see if the four humanoids are anywhere to be seen.

I'd prefer we started back in the woods for a stealthy approach..
Oleander shakes her head. "Sorry Leepo, that is beyond my skills. Time should fix him up."
She then turns her gaze on the fortress
perception: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (17) + 9 = 26
"Would you like me to sneak up and see what is beyond that 'gate'"
Assuming the okay from everyone..
Oleander sneaks forward carefully taking her time.
Takes ten for stealth of 20 as she sneaks up to the door, examines it again (takes ten this time for 19) and then slips through it if nothing is untoward

Pooka growls, half in frustration, and half from his current, worsening state.
"I'd just as soon charge in there and get this whole thing over with. But do what you must. Make it quick, if this wretched state becomes permenant, I just might not be smart enough to not come after you."
Pooka readies his lance, just itching to be released to charge in to wreak havoc on the druids he knows to be in the grove and behind all of these changes.
Just before the group heads in, Pooka will use his Danger Ward ability to give everyone an opportunity to re-roll a failed WILL Save at a +4 competence bonus. The re-roll must be used within 1 minute of activating the danger ward, which is why I will wait until just before we charge in. And hope I picked the right type of save.
Edit: despite the desire to start back in the woods in order to be stealthy, I don't want to have to take an extra round to get set up for a charge. I like the position I am in currently as it looks like it might give me the best chance to charge right through the door.
| StephNyan |
@Leepo: When resting at night you recover 1 point of ability damage. Scritch suffered 2 Dex damage, meaning he still has 1 Dex damage. Lesser Restoration helps, but I don't think any of you has that spell.
Oleander stealthily moves forward, and inspects the door that gives access to Briar Henge. There's nothing to be seen, but she hears something breathe. When Oleander carefully opens the door, she sees a diminutive fey-like creature, and a small riding dog. They're both aware of Oleander: the dog smelled her approach.
Leepo: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (19) + 2 = 21
Ludwick: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (15) + 8 = 23
Oleander: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (15) + 3 = 18
Pooka: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3
Scritch: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (13) + 1 = 14
Sun: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (17) + 3 = 20

Dog: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5
Turn progression - round 1:
Ludwick
Leepo

Oleander
Scritch

"I come in peace" she says to the fey in Elven, keeping an eye on it and its mount/pet.
Delays, she doesn't want to make an enemgy of the fey if it is also investigating the druids ring. On the other hand if it is aggressive, it is going to get a pair of arrows.

Leepo quietly casts Shield on Scritch.

The hint of lightning begins to play across Sun's right arm, waiting for release. Keeping his arm down and listening, Sun watches for the reaction of the two, agreeing mentally with Oleander.
