GM Fez |

Not as tough to hit as you think.
Dissa's first attack brings down the man standing in the far corner, while his second and third manage to kill one of the blinded ones.
Kontha's jaws crunch down on something particularly painful, but the man she attacks remains standing afterward, bleeding rather heavily.
Dulomak cuts down his target in one swift blow, leaving barely flopping bits in place of a person.
Marina takes the opportunity to jump in and bring down the only one still alive at this point. He tries to stand.
Order 1st Round
Cyrene, Marina, Dissa, Dulomak and Kontha

AoO? This group was built for the AoO! Thanks Fez :-)
"She warned you. Even blinded and tripped you're making pretty bad decisions..."
Nonlethal AoO with Flank: 1d20 + 11 + 1 + 4 + 4 + 2 - 4 ⇒ (5) + 11 + 1 + 4 + 4 + 2 - 4 = 23
Nonlethal AoO Damage: 2d8 + 16 ⇒ (4, 2) + 16 = 22

Kontha, step the half orc states.
I dont know if this is possible, but I would like Kontha to put one foot on the blinded tripped man to keep him down in case Dissa doesnt knock him out

GM Fez |

The scent of stale smoke permeates this crossroads of stairwells and hallways. A moth-eaten rug stretches before a fireplace surrounded by a beautifully carved mantle and an ornate but unstocked bar. A heavily adorned staircase in the room’s northeast corner descends into darkness below, opposite a long hall with a staircase that spirals up to the floor above.
"Prepare to suffer the wrath of Mog-Lathar intruders!" cries yet another man in olive robes. Three figures stand at the end of the hallway, prepared to do battle by the looks of it.
Marina: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (6) + 4 = 10
Dulomak and Kontha: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (11) + 1 = 12
Cyrene: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (10) + 3 = 13
Deacons: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (14) + 7 = 21
Each of the opponents suddenly has a double standing beside them, mimicking their movements exactly. They prepare to fight from where they stand.
Order 1st Round

Marina runs in the middle of them and tries to trip blue.
"OK" She says, seriously, as she flows into her signature style.
trip: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (19) + 11 = 30
copycat?: 1d2 ⇒ 1
Sadly, she can't tell which is real and whiffs a duplicate.

Kontha |

Would Kontha's scent ability help her to discern which is the correct bad guy?

GM Fez |

Sorry guys, my computer was just not working at all yesterday.
No, it won't. She can get to within a 5 foot square of accuracy, but because the duplicates are all in the same area as the original she can't tell the difference between an illusion and the real one.
Order 1st Round
Deacons [R: 0 [copycat, full defense], B: 0 [full defense], G: 0 [copycat, full defense]]
Cyrene, Dulomak and Kontha, Marina, Dissa

Kontha will go full defense then as she waits for the opportunity to flank.

Dissa moves forward and pokes blue.
Poke!: 1d20 + 11 + 2 ⇒ (19) + 11 + 2 = 32
Confirm?: 1d20 + 11 + 2 ⇒ (9) + 11 + 2 = 22
Poke of Doom: 4d8 + 32 ⇒ (4, 7, 4, 2) + 32 = 49
"Thanks, Marina, for pointing out the best target. Also, my apologies for showering you with viscera. You did recommend they surrender, but they seem like cultists or something." Both the daunting jade o-yoroi mask nd the voice emanating from within seem very calm in contrast to the fatal stroke delivered by the wearer.

![]() |

Cyrene continues to watch, she's running short on magic and her companions seem to have this covered.
"A little to the left." She calls, trying to be helpful.
Aid Dissa: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (14) + 6 = 20 Have +2 to your next attack Dissa. :)

GM Fez |

The two deacons are a bit surprised Marina has stepped between them, but they take what fortune they can in the face of your party's overwhelming power.
Spider Leg Sickle Slash!: 1d20 + 7 + 2 ⇒ (18) + 7 + 2 = 27
What he said!: 1d20 + 7 + 2 ⇒ (6) + 7 + 2 = 15
Damage: 1d6 + 1 + 1d6 ⇒ (4) + 1 + (4) = 9 Plus a DC 14 Fort save vs poison
The segmented sickles flick out, though Marina is fast enough to avoid one of their blades. The other scores a thin line in a very painful place, which quickly feels as though it has caught fire.

fort: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (6) + 8 = 14
Barely staving off the ill effects of the poison, Marina uses her flowing style to immediately attempt to trip red:
trip: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (14) + 13 = 27
copy?: 1d2 ⇒ 1 but whiffs a duplicate. She follows it up with a flurry attempting to trip or reveal the illusion behind her (green) as well.
trip: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (7) + 11 = 18
copy?: 1d2 ⇒ 2
Knowing without his duplicate, the red deacon can't survive the blades of justice, Marina continues to attack green.
non-lethal kick: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (11) + 9 = 20+4 if trip succeeded
copy?: 1d2 ⇒ 2
damage: 1d6 + 5 ⇒ (6) + 5 = 11
With a solid connection she leaves him bruised.
"I'll ask again - stay down please."

Marina's kick bruises the man she put on the floor. The other, now imageless, swings at Dulomak as he moves in to set up his own attack.
Opportunity!: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (17) + 7 = 24
Damage: 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 1 = 6
Both Kontha and Dulomak gnaw on or smash the cultist on the floor, resulting in more bruising and blood, but he stubbornly clings to consciousness, gritting out, "Mog-Lothar will eat your bones in your sleep."

"Tsukiyo, the Prince of the Moon, has already laid claim to my sleep. I have lived a hundred lifetimes in my dreams, and never once did your god reach me. Enjoy your trip to the Boneyard, heathen!" Dissa calls to the cultists as he slashes down red.

chop: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (13) + 10 = 23+ another 4 from prone
damage: 1d6 + 5 ⇒ (2) + 5 = 7
Marina's hit makes it quite hard for him to keep his balance. reflex save DC 15 or be flat footed.

Kontha |

I think that it was a minor wound, she got hit by an AoO.

![]() |

Cyrene remains in her customary place at the rear, holding Dissa's hand as the paladin goes oddly silent.

GM Fez |

Marina finds no evidence of traps in or around the doors and opens them swiftly. Two velvet curtains tied back with filthy gold cord reveal an iron portcullis cast with a webbed motif. Cobwebs drape the forms of two carved wooden mannequins dressed as robed cultists, which flank each side of the portcullis.
The room is filled with spider-leg sickles, a candelabrum, crates, and a number of olive green robes.

GM Fez |

Correct. Instead of saw-tooth sabers these are spider-leg sickles. Introduced in this module for this cult exclusively they are mainly used as a poison delivery system.
Marina quickly determines there are no traps on this door either, which opens into a large library. A chandelier illuminates book-filled piles of crates covering this library’s wooden floor. Finely carved bookcases line the walls, their contents disorganized and incomplete. Glass domes protect various precious relics, though many appear to be missing.
