Cries of pain and suffering start rumbling out from the crowd of people. "My eyes! My leg!" Seems some of them are getting jostled and trampled in the confusion. They are packed so densely on the pier that some of them are even being pushed off as your crew gathers in the boat and starts sailing downriver. Combat over!
Questioning the men you've captured yields less information than you've hoped for. It appears they were set up as bait in a trap by the cult to lure you in and take you out with otherworldly help. They were set up with food, drink, and shiver for a week and told to kill whomever showed up.

Dropping the shiver addicts off with some members of the Guard and describing what happened to Cora brings a smile to her face. "We've got them now," she crows. "Come with me to Magistrate Drune, we'll get something sorted."
When you get to the magistrate's office he explains that this act of attempted murder has finally given him the ability to write a warrant. "Now we can get to Greeley who will be able to give us more information about the cult itself."
I'll have to get some things set up for the next part.

The olive robed man tumbles away from the sphere as it comes racing towards him. Meanwhile Kontha's rush catches one of the dealers by surprise, allowing her to rip into him with her large teeth.
The man's response is swift, a dagger appearing almost by magic from his hand to slash at the rex.

Luckily her skin is too tough for the small weapon. The rest of the dealers hiding in the shadows step out and open fire with hand crossbows, trying to hit anyone they can.

Dissa's strike cuts into the real cultist rather than his image, leaving a horrid gash in his robes. The man Marina throws to the ground grunts and snarls, "You ever try living on the street lady?! It's just a living!"
The cultist growls, raising a strange spider-leg looking sickle into the air crying out, "Mog-Lothar! Grant me the swiftness to escape my enemies!" He then slips forward, too quickly for anyone to react and moves around Kontha, taking the opportunity to swipe at her with his strange sickle. Casts grace, which doesn't provoke AoOs, then moving to location on map.

Even with the strange surety of foot the cultist doesn't manage to hit Kontha at all.

Dulomak's flail swishes through the image of the deacon, missing the target, but popping the fake along the way. With the way cleared Kontha's teeth sink into the true enemy easily.
The thugs all around start dropping their crossbows to pull out daggers, slick with some purple substance, or stand drawing as they go.

Oh, they just have a hard time hitting Marina, interesting. It doesn't change anything since they missed, but Marina's favorite Aoo is disarm (which still provokes since she doesn't have improved disarm yet) so that can be that attack.
