Harrow climbs up to stand before the enemy.
The dragon-cyclops thing sniffs at the air but doesn't know exactly where to strike.
1d100 ⇒ 3
Tarn, the mad seeress, acts normally this round. She continues buffing Ismene (free action). She casts heroism on Ismene (standard action). Then she steps back.
The brave halfling rushes forward to heal his ally.

Kelson continues his roaring song and casts glitterdust over the evil women.
DC 16 Will. Inspire courage and haste are up fyi all. +3/+2 hit/damage
Tarn Will Save: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (13) + 8 = 21
Ismene Will Save: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (11) + 5 = 16Kelson prevents any visibility shenanigans from the enemy by coating this with magical glitter. Sadly, none of the "glitter bomb" gets into their eyes.
Ismene exclaims with exasperation, "Look. I'm trying to do an evil ritual. Now is NOT the time for a rave!"

With that, the half-dragon lashes out with her fiery breath!
Mareq Reflex: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (4) + 4 = 8

[dice=Mareq Reflex]1d20+4
[dice=Berosius Reflex]1d20+7Do either of you have a re-roll that you wish to use before I reveal the results of your save?
I think you mean "Husarq", not Mareq. Mareq is outside the cone.

Ooh! Wait! Kassem's Blessing. I'm scratching it off for a reroll.

Uh oh. Haste gives you a +1 bonus.

Le sigh.
I have a reroll that I'm willing to give you, if you want. (Per the Perks page on Paizo.com.)

Berosius takes either 35 or 17 HP of damage depending on whether or not he wants to use my reroll.

__________
Harrow and Mareq are up! (Harrow is literally up on the waterfall.)
| Husarq |
Husarq feels the dragon flames course over him and exults in their cleansing power.
Ahhh... I remember...
Mareq Bolthune
|
Mareq watches the flames wash over his thrall, Husarq.
He will be recalcitrant now, remembering who he was in the midst of the fires. Dare I empower him further, to attack this cyclops?
The ifrit's eyes start to swirl with hatred...
Perhaps I should just banish him and summon an ally less guilty, less terrible, he thinks.
He grimaces, knowing the exigence the Pathfinders are in. Decision made, he darts forward quickly and reaches out with his power and punctures a hole in the magical chains that bind Husarq to his current state. A cascade of magical energy, likely invisible to most, floods in through the hole in his bonds and suddenly... Husarq grows and grows and grows to the normal size of an efreeti lord!
Casts Enlarge Person
| Husarq |
Grown to his true size, Husarq attacks with his efreeti scimitar!
Power Attack: 1d20 + 18 + 1 + 2 - 1 ⇒ (11) + 18 + 1 + 2 - 1 = 31 Slashing dmg: 2d6 + 20 + 2 ⇒ (4, 6) + 20 + 2 = 32 Bleed: 1d6 ⇒ 2
Power Attack (Haste): 1d20 + 18 + 1 + 2 - 1 ⇒ (10) + 18 + 1 + 2 - 1 = 30 Slashing dmg: 2d6 + 20 + 2 ⇒ (2, 2) + 20 + 2 = 26

A summoner may cast spells on his eidolon even if the spells normally do not affect creatures of the eidolon's type (outsider). Link here
Casting Time: 1 Round
Oh, s*!+. Thank you for the catch. I apologize. The spell DOES take 1 round. I also notice that it isn't touch, but rather Close Range. If you'll allow, Mareq will simply stay the hell away from Ismene and cast Enlarge Person from further away.
Also, a bit embarrassed. After magic missile, I think Enlarge Person is the oldest spell in the game.
| Husarq |
Instead of the previous erroneous post...
Husarq bathes in the flames of his enemy, reveling in the fires coursing over his body. He momentarily forgets where he is, recalling dim memories of a hot, fiery past where he was free...
Delay, as he cannot reach Ismene from where he is.
Harrow Tatterhood
|
If it's any concession, I think enlarge person used to be a standard action in 3.5.
The first thing to appear on Harrow is his glittering grill, followed by the rest of him as he swings his nodachi.
However, the slick rocks prove difficult to navigate, and his blow is clumsy.
+1 keen nodachi (adamantine, power attack, furious focus, studied target): 1d20 + 12 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 12 + 1 = 161d10 + 14 + 1 ⇒ (8) + 14 + 1 = 23
if hits, free intimidate check to demoralize: 1d20 + 27 ⇒ (9) + 27 = 36

Ismene sniffs the air again. "I know you're here, interferer! Bego*..."
Cheshire Harrow appears, interrupting the half-dragon's evil monologue. And she falls unconscious.
Cheking to see what Tarn will do. Confusion: 1d100 ⇒ 39 Since Tarn will spend her next round babbling incoherently, I'm calling this fight. (Y'all can climb up and easily dispatch her.)
Combat over!
Kelson Bard character
|
"Anyone hurt? That was quite a speech on her part. It explains somethings."
Kelson looks around the room for anything of interest.
perception: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (12) + 10 = 22
Mareq Bolthune
|
"My thrall remains injured. But I shall heal him, Kelson," says Mareq, looking at Husarq as if he really doesn't want him healed.
UMD DC20: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (13) + 14 = 27
CLW: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4
Harrow Tatterhood
|
Harrow smiles over the fallen foe and takes a moment to deprive her of her useful items and tie her hands, just in case she wakes up.
"Harrow not hurt. Harrow happy! Ragathiel make Harrow invisible and he sneak up and make bad guy go night-night!"
Detect magic on her items.
Berosius
|
Not terribly startled at their antagonist's sudden demise, Berosius checks to be sure everyone is alright, then helps Kelson look around.
Aid Another Perception: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 2 = 4 Nope! He just gets in the way!

__________
A wealth of Iobarian artifacts, including the Firespeaker Accord, is located behind the waterfall. The accord details the pact between the Firespeakers and the native warlords, naming the local region as neutral territory. Signatures from the heads of ancient tribes (from whom many of the noble Brevic houses descended) are included in this document.
As a party, you all need to decide what to do with the Firespeaker Accord. I need at least a consensus, if not a unanimous agreement.
Mareq Bolthune
|
"This artifact is well worth returning to the Pathfinder Society," suggests Mareq. "A copy could also be returned to the Baron's archives by the Society at a later date."
Harrow Tatterhood
|
Harrow isn't sure what to think.
"All lords around here only fight. Harrow think we get it to Pathfinders and then figure out. Then they not have even more stuff to fight about."
Agree with Mareq
Berosius
|
"If we can use the Accords to prevent a civil war here, we ought to do that," says Berosius. "Give that to either house and they'll bury it, continuing to claim that the Keep is theirs. I think we ought to publicize it among the people."
Harrow Tatterhood
|
Harrow considers his best buddy's idea.
"Harrow change mind. Harrow do what Berosius say."
Agree with these guys.
Mareq Bolthune
|
I" think we are all saying the same thing. We shall alert the lords to what the Firespeaker Accords say, but deliver such an important historical document to the Pathfinder Society, as a neutral arbiter who is not going to bury it in the pursuit a civil war."
Mareq Bolthune
|
And what are you doing with the Journal you found?
"Let us examine this journal again. I would like to know more abuot it," says Mareq.
Heal: 1d20 + 0 ⇒ (6) + 0 = 6
"And what about this ring we found with it?"
[ooc]wow, I don't think we really gave this stuff the once over... ever. We looked at the poisonous stuff, but nver the journal or ring.
Berosius
|
Berosius will examine both with detect magic, then try to decipher the journal.
Spellcraft, journal: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (6) + 12 = 18
Spellcraft, ring: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (8) + 12 = 20
Heal: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (9) + 9 = 18
Oy. Terrible.
Harrow Tatterhood
|
"Harrow let somebody else read that. Harrow's...eyes tired."
heal aid: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (13) + 3 = 16

Remember the plague that Berslav was worried about back in his hometown? Looks like this journal was made by someone named Lysius Corcina (loooong ago). He was a botany enthusiast who experimented with cross breeding Taldan and local varieties for both medicinal and recreational purposes. His trials yielded several interesting findings, including a temporary remedy for an illness similar to the one that now plagues Berislav Surtova's home. He maintained records of his work within this journal.
Who do you want to give the journal to? Berislav is an obvious choice. But the apothecary might be an option, too.
The ring looks like a ring of delayed doom (Advanced Player's Guide 292).
You guys mentioned using the accords to get the nobles to settle down. Which of the "movers and shakers" in town do you want to go to with this information first?
Harrow Tatterhood
|
Harrow considers their options. "Harrow say give journal to that Berslav guy. He try to find plague cure. Maybe this help make peace here."
Harrow Tatterhood

Harrow leaps at the chance for pie!
Harrow agrees that the accords should be distributed to everyone after providing the original to the Society.
"All these guys hate other guys. Maybe if have same stuff, not hate each other so much. Harrow think give some to everyone! And pie!"
GM Engleaktig
|
The party puts in an order to Sir Dydimus, you promptly arrives with impossibly-full baskets of pie.
How many baskets?: 2d4 ⇒ (3, 4) = 7
How many pies per basket?: 2d4 ⇒ (2, 3) = 5
In addition to these 35 pies, Dydimus has that magic basket full of Apple Biscuits from the bakery in Eastgate you all like. (He has a couple of biscuits with extra-spicy cinnamon for Mareq and Husarq).
How many apple biscuits?: 10d10 + 10 ⇒ (6, 1, 2, 8, 7, 5, 1, 6, 5, 1) + 10 = 52
Arriving in town with 35 pies of various flavors and styles, he asks: "Where to first?"
But, he needn't have asked. Once the smells of the baked goods fill the streets, people wander over to you to find out what's going on.

rofl
Harrow takes a pie in each hand and begins a sloppy display of a pie-eating contest.
"Harrow thank day he met Sir Dydimus...he second best friend."
Once there are townsfolk nearby, he says "Go get all leaders we talk to before. We have stuff to say."
