This is the recruitment thread for Pathfinder Society scenario #0-04 Frozen Fingers of Midnight.

Frozen Finger of Midnight wrote:

A Pathfinder Society Scenario designed for 1st to 5th level characters (Tiers: 1–2, 4–5).

Skelg the Ripper, envoy from the Land of the Linnorm Kings, lies wasting in his villa on the outskirts of Absalom. A frigid curse followed Skelg from his northern homeland and grips his bearish heart in its frosty embrace. As the bizarre freezing ailment pushes Skelg to the brink of death, the Society dispatches you and your fellow Pathfinders to uncover the secrets of the freezing curse before Absalom falls to its icy grip.

The game is being run as a Play-by-Post using Paizo's messageboards as the platform. I'll utilize Google draw to present maps and battles, leaving your PCs' movements to you. (I've been working on an "arrow shows route" thing, but it might be a tad too cumbersome)

You are free to roll for so-called passive rolls (knowledge, perception etc) if you so wish, but I will give you a prompt when such rolls will garner results, like this:

Knowledge (local) DC 10 or Wisdom check DC 5:
Absalom is a big city.

To which you respond thusly:
Knowledge (local): 1d20 ⇒ 10

Regarding the pace, well, I prefer a fast pace but mostly I'd wish for players to keep themselves occupied if I'm not around. Interparty discussion, tactic exchange, anything like that. My current life situation might call for unexpected nights away from the computer, and work can be hectic as heck. Mainly don't expect the game to finish strictly on the 6 week time period. (To reassure you, though, I've run Black Waters in Core in 4 weeks time.)

The following list contains PCs/players that have a reserved spot in this game.
- Hádanka, elf ranger 1 (switch-hitter)
- Jasper, human paladin 1 (sword&board)
- Drostan, dwarf fighter 1
- Sagart, human cleric (melee) or G'Boar, human ranger 1

Dottin :)

Thanks for running a game for the rest of us!

Dark Archive

I'm interested to play if there is still room for a cleric of Norgorber.

Grand Lodge

Got room for 1 more? Human 1 Witch.

Sovereign Court

Ack, seems like I was somewhat unclear in my opening post, leaving the essential "CORE" marking only in the title. This game, in fact, is meant to be played using the core campaign rules, thus limiting the available resources to only the Core Rulebook. Thus witch is out of the question.

Grand Lodge

Ah yeah that would have helped, have a good game!

Grand Lodge

Checking in with Sagart...
But I may want to play G'Boar... but you already have a Ranger in Hádanka. Everyone always needs a healer I guess, and she can pal around with Drostan...

Spoiler:
Sagart Laoch is a confusing conundrum of opposites. Her strikingly attractive Human appearance is starkly countered by her crass Dwarven dialect and mannerisms. Her long, silken blond hair is twisted and braided under her chin, roughly resembling the fine beards of the Dwarven ladyfolk. But most curious is the polished breastplate, Dwarven War Hammer and heavy crossbow that her diminutive frame carries with the ease of practiced martial disciple of the God, Kols.

Sagart was orphaned as an infant during the Dwarf & Giant war near Five Kings Mountain. Her family was 'collateral damage' during a boulder barrage, centered on her village, by the giants. The Dwarves, who relied on and traded with the village for much needed supplies, raised her as one of their own. Spending her entire life in the Dwarven Orphanage (what Dwarf would want to adopt such an ugly, weak creature?) Sagart was drawn to the healing arts displayed by the nuns of the convent. During her time with the sturdy mountain folk, Sagart developed into a decorated follower of the Dwarven Gods, and has now set out to earn her Glory, spreading the word of Kols in the world.

I've not done any PbP before, so I might need the occasional hand-holding, but Wrigley is my gnome sorcerer [Air elemental Bloodline] for core rules.

Edit: To be clear, he's level 1, with 2 experience points to his name.

- Hádanka, elf ranger 1 (switch-hitter)
- Jasper, human paladin 1 (sword&board)
- Drostan, dwarf fighter 1
- Sagart, human cleric (melee) or G'Boar, human ranger 1
- Jair Whisper, human cleric 1
- Wrigsolar D. Fencejumper, gnome sorcerer 1

Bolded have acknowledged the game. Feel free to dot (and only dot) in the gameplay thread.

Dotting marks the campaign so you can follow it from your campaigns page under your profile.

Yable. A bard Level one

A cheliaxian follower of Erastil who use a stradivarius.

Do you want more detail? (Background and Crunch)

Hádanka's player has informed me he has not decided on the character's build yet and will play if needed. As it looks now he is not necessary for the game to begin, so we'll start without him.

Gayel, you'll get the vacant spot. Just finalize the character sheet on your character's page and we're good to go.

I have the paper format ready.

Both Jasper and Hádanka have informed me they'll pass, so at the moment our group is five strong. I'll try to get the introduction underway today evening (UTC+2).

- Drostan, dwarf fighter 1
- Sagart, human cleric (melee) or G'Boar, human ranger 1
- Jair Whisper, human cleric 1
- Wrigsolar D. Fencejumper, gnome sorcerer 1
- Yâble, human bard 1

I'll conduct serious audits on your characters during the weekend, so I hope everything relevant is visible. If your character has previous adventures, I'd at least wish to know which adventures they are.

Grand Lodge

Sweet!
Folks, just let me know if you think that the party would benefit from a Ranger vs.another cleric. Both G'Boar and Sagart are ready and available!

Only one adventure. Thé pallid plague. So i have access to the antiplague.

And yes a ranger would be useful.

Grand Lodge

Cool, G'Boar it is...
One adventure for him, Masters of the Fallen Fortress.
