"I think it safe to assume that the fey has an unholy alliance with the creatures of this forest."

Lars points out considering the attacks, with pick in hand now.

Recalling that the hunter had caught the fox in bear traps, Lars, Brom and Sterk notice a couple of bear traps hidden in the snow and inform the party to avoid them. However, no one sees any additional signs of the giant weasel for now.

-----

Continuing along, the party comes across what appears to be the strange hut nearby and the even stranger doll inside it, which the journal earlier referred to.

More than a dozen boulder-sized chunks of ice litter the clearing ahead where a strange hut sits perched on tree trunks atop a raised mound of snow-covered earth.

Moving into the area, the image of a shivering young Ulfen girl suddenly appears amid the ice boulders.

I'm going to fast forward this 'encounter' a bit, as it could become needlessly tedious otherwise.

Despite his best efforts, Lars has difficulty sensing anything from the Ulfen girl.

As the group follows the girl, she speaks “I’m sorry! Don’t hurt me! I never meant to call you names!” The girl doesn't seem to be speaking to you, instead, it's almost as if you were not there.

Lars casts Lead Blades:
Lead blades increases the momentum and density of your melee weapons just as they strike a foe. All melee weapons you are carrying when the spell is cast deal damage as if one size category larger than they actually are. For instance, a Medium longsword normally deals 1d8 points of damage, but it would instead deal 2d6 points of damage if benefiting from lead blades. Only you can benefit from this spell. If anyone else uses one of your weapons to make an attack it deals damage as normal for its size.
Last 2 mins/level, Extra 1 minute due to Divine smith.

"Leave this place." A voice eerily similar to that of the little girl that vanished comes from inside the hut as the haunt triggers, and sorrowful images that seem to depict the little girl's childhood and the faces of the frozen dead manifest inside the ice blocks.

Sterk and Aponyaye need to make a will save vs Fear (DC13) or be effected by the Scare spell. A failed save leaves them Frightened for 3 rounds, a successful one means they are shaken for 1.

We're out of initiative, for now, but may be back in soon depending on people's actions. Also, here's the description of the hut, since it would be in clear view to some people now.

A small hut stands here on four legs, each one a single tree trunk whose gnarled roots resemble the toes of a giant chicken. The hut is constructed of heavy logs with a patchwork roof of shaved bark shingles. Inside the hut’s open doorway, a small figure sits on a carved wooden chair, staring across the clearing at the trail on the other side.

No, I know the haunt and the doll are different. Out of character I know exactly what it is but I was rolling a Knowledge check to see if Aponyaye recognizes it.

The doll inside of the hut looks eerily similar to the girl, she even wears the same dress, but she does not answer when you speak to her.

Aponyaye does recognize the doll as a guardian doll, typically used by Irrisen witches. Unlike most constructs, Aponyaye knows that the doll is sentient, thanks to the soul that is planted into the dolls on construction. It is possible that the Ulfen girl's soul is harbored within the doll. Aponyaye also knows that the only way to free the child's soul, if it is in the doll would be to destroy the sapphire eye of the doll.

The images manifested inside of the ice near where I had the green square.

Silver Crusade

Aponyaye shares his knowledge with his companions and then says, "It seems the best way to free the little girl's soul is to attack this doll and destroy the sapphires. Would our combat-oriented party members care to approach? I will be right behind you in case you are hurt."

Now the doll speaks, "You want to destroy me?" She asks in a kind little voice that pulls at your heart strings.

"Doll right?" Lars asks. Moving forward in as fast as he can and tossing his coiled rope as high as he can towards it.

"Loop and Knot her up by Soralyon's will!!!"

Throwing rope, Ranged touch with bless 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (17) + 1 = 18

Casting Animate rope:

Animate Ropes:
You can animate a nonliving rope-like object. The maximum length assumes a rope with a 1-inch diameter. Reduce the maximum length by 50% for every additional inch of thickness, and increase it by 50% for each reduction of the rope's diameter by half.

The possible commands are “coil” (form a neat, coiled stack), “coil and knot,” “loop,” “loop and knot,” “tie and knot,” and the opposites of all of the above (“uncoil,” and so forth). You can give one command each round as a move action, as if directing an active spell.

The rope can enwrap only a creature or an object within 1 foot of it—it does not snake outward—so it must be thrown near the intended target. Doing so requires a successful ranged touch attack roll (range increment 10 feet). A typical 1-inch-diameter hemp rope has 2 hit points, AC 10, and requires a DC 23 Strength check to burst it. The rope does not deal damage, but it can be used as a trip line or to cause a single opponent that fails a Reflex saving throw to become entangled. A creature capable of spellcasting that is bound by this spell must make a concentration check with a DC of 15 + the spell's level to cast a spell. An entangled creature can slip free with a DC 20 Escape Artist check.

The rope itself and any knots tied in it are not magical.

The spell cannot affect objects carried or worn by a creature.

you command the rope as a move action, so that's too many actions I'm afraid Lars, nice thought though.

You'll have to wait for next turn to thro an comman I'm afraid, it's a standard to cast the spell and you moved, so theres your move action. The spell will last long enough for you to throw and command it next turn, so its not a waste.

My intention is the location you are at now on the map is where you start this round. The idea is since the source of your fear didn't have a physical body you weren't entirely sure which direction to run in, so you didn't flee out the obvious exit. So, you can act now.

Unfortunately, Sterk cannot charge for a number of reasons, most importantly because the doll is 20 feet in the air.

Lars tosses his magically animated rope up in the air towards the doll, and it strikes her, tying her up and binding her, she is now entangled, but still midair.

Serah Farron lets the stone fly from her sling.
Attack - Sling: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (5) + 2 = 7
Dmg - Sling: 1d3 + 3 ⇒ (3) + 3 = 6

Total miss, so she'll move up next to Lars. She will attempt to grab the robe on her next turn to bring the doll closer to the ground.

Her large falcata is shown on the map.
