Yep, we'll say one mage armor charge covers everything you've done so far. A minute seems a bit short for a floor, especially with a trap earlier. ground floor, 1 charge, second floor, 2 charges, part of the third floor you've completed, 1 charge, part of the fourth floor you've completed, 1 charge. That's 5 charges so far; I think it will end up being 8 charges for the entire adventure. You probably won't even need a second mage armor. Does this seem fair to you?
Sir Hayden Greyrun |
Hayden helps the man up. He checks him for injury and heals him with his wand if necessary. "We should get you out of here, Balenar. Do you know how many more troglodytes there are?"

"Oh, that feels much better. I'm almost my old self again. I'm not sure how many there are. My jailor I assume you dealt with to get in here. He's the boss's leutenant. The boss is upstairs. If you can get me back in fighting form and help find my gear, I'll help you deal with him."
he's still down by 3 HP.
Elianna Morgethai |
Elianna also rushes over but isn't able to use any curative wands herself. She'll still try to be helpful in getting him comfortable and back on his feet though.
GM Redelia |
"Thank you, that is indeed my gear. The leader is a trog, bigger than all the others, and is on the top floor."
Where next, guys? I would suggest that you deal with the lower floors first, but it's your call. You haven't explored part of this floor, and there was a locked door on the floor below.
GM Redelia |
It's been a day and a half, so I'm going to give you guys a push forward.
You go to the remaining room on the current floor, and carefully open it. The room is flooded at about ankle depth, and contains another of the trogs' pets. This one is a giant frog. You quickly close the door, promising yourselves that you will open the door to let it free when you leave the tower, like the shocker lizard.
Then you move up to the top floor. The four wings of the tower are completely open on this level, forming one great, cross-shaped chamber with arched ceilings. The decayed remnants of a carpet run from the doorways at the end of each wing, meeting in the center, where a spiral staircase drops out of sight below. A large, throne-like chair stands in the middle of the eastern wing next to a big chest.
A large trog stands at the east end, staring out over the city. Next to him is an albino reptile of some sort. "Get them!" the trog orders the reptile. kn: nature to know about the reptile
Hayden, fort save again, please.

Egg will make a 5' move southeast and fire quickly twice...not knowing which may be the more dangerous, he'll fire once at the croc and once at the trog...

Does the throne block like of effect for spells? If so I'll target the lizard, if not I'll go for the trog
Faru moves to within 25ft of his target and tries to eject them off the tower with a hydraulic push

No, the throne only takes up part of the space. By being at a slight diagonal you can certainly target the trog.
The magic jet of water from Faru pushes the trog out the door. He falls to the ground. You hear a sickening crunch as he hits the ground below.
The reptile appears to grow frantic with grief and anger over his master's death.
Hayden, Akitosh, and Elianna are up.
Sir Hayden Greyrun |
Hayden looks at Faru with shock on his face. "Did you...just...hurl him off his own tower?" He recovers fast enough to move to where he can see the lizard and fires an arrow at it.

Elianna's scarf rakes across the crocodile's hide, and he falls over, dead.
You open doors to allow the pets to escape safely as you work your way back out of the siege tower. You take Balinor back to the city with you, and bring him to the Lodge. He is quickly collected by chroniclers who want to take down his story and clerics who want to finish tending to his hurts. The venture captain does not have time to meet with you, and instead sends you a letter with three words. Congratulations. Good job.
Good job, guys, and thanks for playing. I will fill out the reporting form in a few minutes and send your chronicles later today.
