You have me correctly plus NORMAL track.
Grigorii |
Looks good.
Grigorii is going SLOW.
GM Hmm |
Post incoming! Baaldryn, Shel, are you normal track?
Hmm
GM Hmm |
Also, if anyone is going to reroll a dayjob roll, now is the time.
Hmm
Grigorii |
Sure! I brought my folio to work and everything.
Dayjob reroll,stars: 1d20 + 15 + 2 ⇒ (16) + 15 + 2 = 33
GM Hmm |
You don't have to bring your folio to work. This is an honor system!
You are required, though, to write a raging filk of 'I'm a Little Teapot' in order for your reroll to take hold.
Bluff: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (3) + 12 = 15
Hmm
(Who may be still retaining the bombastic and authoritarian evil side of the Emissary right now.)

Well, in that case...
I'm a little despot
Large and loud
Here is my handaxe
Here is my growl
When I get all steamed up
I just shout
Tip ‘em over and join the bout
I'm in a very special spot
It is true
Here is an example of what I can do
I can throw my handaxe into your snout
Tip ‘em over and join the bout
I'm a little despot
Large and loud
Here is my handaxe
Here is my growl
When I get all steamed up
I just shout
Tip ‘em over and join the bout
GM Hmm |
Muahaha. I have the best group!

GM Hmm |
Gang, I realize that I have to initial something special on the Chronicle sheets. This may delay chronicles until tomorrow or Thursday morning.
Orb of a Distant World: You have recovered one of the spheres from the orrery of distant worlds. The sphere is a use-activated item that can expend a number of charges to cast a spell-like ability as a standard action (CL 11th). The sphere has 4 charges and cannot be recharged. Choose one of the following spheres when you gain this boon: Sun (searing light, 1 charge); Aballon (haste 2, charges); Castrovel (detect thoughts, 1 charge); Golarion (resilient sphere, 4 charges); Akiton (rage, 1 charge); Verces (align weapon, 1 charge); Eox (death ward, 2 charges); Triaxus (teleport, 4 charges); Liavara (dream, 4 charges); Bretheda (restoration, 2 charges); Apostae (fly, 2 charges); or Aucturn (confusion, 2 charges).
Remember the confusing language here. A spell like teleport takes four charges, so there's only one in Triaxus. Align weapon takes only one charge, so there are four aligns available with Verces. Got it? Good.
I'd like to know which of the 'bouncing balls' each of you wants.
Wei Ji |
Can we turn all the balls over to the Society along with the Orrery and the elves, their copious research notes, the wreckage, etc?
Kiku Caritas |
Bretheda, please.
A standard action Restoration is pretty awesome! Also, Kiku would probably pick the healing one :3
GM Hmm |
Yes. If you choose to bring the elves to Absalom or some other society outpost, I'll write it into the epilogue. As for the boon, think of it this way: the society will let you use one of the balls for a time. For research purposes, of course, until its charges run out and you return it.
So pick one.
If by wreckage you mean the Lirgen's Glory, it stays here unless you all figure out some way to move it, fix it, or have something cool that I haven't anticipated. But the society has sent other scholars out to ruins to study them.
Hmm
EDITED to ADD: Bretheda is an awesome choice! Noting it, Kiku. Like all Chronicle Sheets, you may all pick the same orb without destroying Paizo space-time continuity.
Wei Ji |
Wei will at the very least make sure that all the elves are brought to either Almas, Augustana or Absalom (unless someone else has a better idea for a Lodge) along with the research data and the like.
HOWEVER.
We DO have a certain wizard that's really desperate to prove himself that he's turned over a 'new leaf'.
He can bring forth Phantom steeds, a lot of them, every day.
We can use Wei's engineering skill (and that of any townsfolk that wish to participate) to remove the still potentially hazardous wreckage from the area using a *very large* sled.
We have the resources, we have the will, we can make this happen!
EDIT: Wei gets the Sun. It wouldn't feel right for him to use any of the others...
Also, willing to spend PP to get any additional resources to repair/move it as needed. This is a piece of *history* and leaving it here to fall prey to who knows what is simply *not* acceptable. Sonarisa and her friends have been through far too much to lose this to neglect.
GM Hmm |
Ha! A sled, huh? You really *are* an engineer! Do the rest of you concur with this?
And I've noted that you choose the sun!
Kiku Caritas |
On top of Wei Ji's things (which I agree with), I would like to recruit Leeara to work with the Scarab Sages, as per my faction card :)
GM Hmm |
Go ahead and do that in Gameplay, and I'll work it into OPERATION Sled!
Forgive me if it takes me a bit to write up the epilogue as you firmly remove the rails on this ending and install your own superhighway.
Hmm
Grigorii |
Grigorii will take Eox for two castings of death ward. It is kind of silly that it tries to work like a staff, and not a normal magic item.
Wei Ji |
If it seems Wei is a bit near fanaticism about OPERATION: Sled, it's because this sort of discovery hardly ever happens and saving it *all*, while a monumental undertaking, will preserve knowledge and wisdom for generations or ages to come.
I eagerly invite everyone to come along, for any of a number of reasons that could apply, but also... imagine the Glory...
Grigorii |
Aren't you wishing you had a "repair any one ship at no cost" boon now? Maybe buy a ship vanity? All you need is a new Vrock!

It'd be nice, Grigorii, but more important is getting it to Absalom.
Who knows, maybe this is what starts Starfinder :P j/k

Oh, I want that boon! You know, I've never actually played this module... None of my characters are high enough level yet.
However, it would be really weird playing this module after having run it twice. First off I'd have to put up with some other GM's interpretation of the characters, and second off, I wouldn't be able to problem solve because I know way too much...
But, oh, how I'd want the Lirgen's Glory. Alas, Nixie, my sailor, is paired with someone from Liberty's Edge! No Vrocket Ship Propulsion for her!

The Zoo Comes to Dustpawn group felt the same way. "As Pathfinders, when have we ever found so many cool things in one session? These are the best finds ever! We have to bring back everything!"
In my own head canon, this module is the Starfinder prequel. Makes Kiku's comments about the Emissary's bosses possibly coming more ominious, now doesn't it? Think about it though. This module was written using material created for Distant Worlds -- there's all sorts of details in the backstory, especially when you read up on each of the planets and then see each Orb's power in the Orrery, it makes sense. And then there's the matter of the Lirgen's Glory coming across the Dominion of the Black at Aucturn. The boss creature of this module, the Vespergaunt, was even created by James Sutter for Distant Worlds.
Maybe we really know now what happened to Golarian.
Dun dun dun!
Hmm
GM Hmm |
Oh and here's the usual disclaimer for Wednesdays. They're nuts for me, and it will take time for me to compose the epilogue. So... Feel free to RP in gameplay and approach the people you want to approach, etc.
I will try to get both epilogue and chronicle sheets up tonight.
Love you all, and thank you for gaming with me.

"That's a bit of a problem, Captain. I'm not one to tell you aboard your own vessel how things should work, but Vrock Containment Drives have been proven to be exceptionally dangerous over time. They weather down the containment housing and it leads to systematic failures of the vessel that they are attatched to, even with extreme precautions."
I think I summed up the reason to NOT have such a drive well enough in character. :)
EDIT: Also... I tried filking it, but... no, we'll just leave it in the original...
GM Hmm |
That's a very nice song! Never heard it before.
Hmm
Wei Ji |
I was much bigger on filking ten-fifteen years ago, and sometimes I'll be sitting there at work coming up with ones to the muzak playing over the intercom.
Tom Smith, Leslie Fish, Julia Ecklar, and the list goes on. Actually... two more for interested folks appropriate to the theme...

Bookkeeping note:
Wei is willing to spend to get Sonarisa's condition cleared, he should have made enough from this to do at least that, hopefully?
What would a grand total be if we added the condition removals for the crew together, then what would it be if we split it among the party? NOT insisting on this, just curious?
Beyond that, though, not sure what to do for the rest? Maybe the Society, based on the magnitude of this amazing discovery, will help them?
HUGE thank you to all that participated with me, and somber thanks to Juniper and Azara with hopes that everything is working out for them and things will continue to work out for them.
MEGA HUGE thanks to GM Hmm for having me along and running a tight ship while keeping things amazing and interesting. You have me wanting to sit at a *physical* table you run at some point, and eager for further adventures, no matter the circumstances!
Have to zip to get ready to travel out of state, thank you again, all!

You are now responsible for both of my favorite PFS PbPs now, you know ;)
Shel Whispertongue PFS |
Yep, mucho thanks to everyone, all players and as always GM Hmmm. Another great run by her, as usual.
Shel Whispertongue PFS |
Lol, Emissary Land! That's the best!! I can see Eddie and Edna Emissary as the trademarked characters. Kids could buy little tentacles with eyeballs on them to wear instead of mouse ears. It'd be brilliant.

In my head canon, there is no way that the society wouldn't cough up the money for restoring the crew of the Lirgen's Glory, but the price tag is high enough they'd certainly discuss it first.
For your reference: A scroll of miracle is 3825 gold. Four of them would be 15,300 gold. If it's just used for condition removal, there is no need for the addition 25,000 g worth of powdered diamond as a material component.
On the other hand, I allowed Easter Eggs while the credits ran last time.... If you all want to post your pleas for the restoration of the Crew of the Lirgen's Glory as the credits close, maybe I can give you a final Easter Egg of my own as well.
Behind the Scenes Module Extra
As for Emissary Land, the Module stated that the wreck of the Lirgen's Glory became a major tourist attraction for the citizens of Dustpawn.
The wreck of the Lirgen's Glory becomes a new draw to the town as word spreads, and the influx of curious scholars and historians seeking to explore the wreck breathes new life into the town. It may not be enough to completely revitalize Dustpawn to its glory days as a thriving mining town, but it's a breath of fresh air nevertheless, and the townsfolk know they have the PCs to thank for it.
Well, there was NO way that Elladas Demos would allow the ABSENCE of the afore-mentioned wreck to get in the way of her tourist attraction, is there? Then I realized they don't need a wreck. All they need is a story, imagination and great PR. Voila! Emissary Land emerged as the one true alternative to give Dustpawn its own happy ending.
But why didn't I think of the tentacle hats? That's a brilliant addition, Shel!
Hmm
GM Hmm |
I reported the session.
Harsk... Did you give me the right number? Number 9 came up as a completely different character. So I input 8 and voila... Harsk showed up. I'm going to put up a second chronicle for you with the 8 number, just so that our bases are covered.
If anyone else finds errors in the reporting, now's the time to tell me!

Chronicles looked good to me, Hmm. I have already leveled Shel and bought her several new trinkets!
Shel Whispertongue PFS |
Lol, this one was much better!! That last one scarred me, but good.
Grigorii |
I know that I'm going to play Grigorii in Beacon Below and Ancients' Anguish in the next few weeks, so my vignette is a send-off to those (as well as introducing my new bite attack).
Anyone else know what they are playing soon?
Grigorii |
Well played, all! You were a treat for this lurker to read.
(golf clap)
Do you lurkers have a discussion thread? I'd like to read your pet theories and audience analysis of characters, a la Talking Dead. Any favorite scenes/moments?
Shel Whispertongue PFS |
No idea what's up for Shel next. EndlessForms is running a high level game next week and I've entered his lottery. If I win and they need a skills character, I'll probably run her in that game. It's a new season seven game, as I recall.
Kiku Caritas |
Kiku is my Scarab Sages character, so I'm hoping to do Beacon Below and Ancients' Anguish on her before too long. I've already run AA twice, and I'm looking forward to it on her just because it could be a big story point for her.
Grigorii |
My witch is Scarab Sages, and I kind of want to play him, but I've been waiting to play Grigorii with a new friend's cleric of Gorum. I'll probably GM the pair and apply credit to Remy later.
Wei Ji |
I have some Easter Egg action I can squeeze in here!
Please forgive the extravagance of it!
