Aetherys slowly comes to, snapping out it as a result of the words of Adrianna.
Meleren moves into the room, and fire his heavy crossbow at the construct, piercing its breastplate.
Heavy Crossbow: 1d20 + 4 - 4 ⇒ (20) + 4 - 4 = 201d10 ⇒ 10
Confirm: 1d20 + 4 - 4 ⇒ (8) + 4 - 4 = 8
Shechera moves up as well, draws her knife with something of a sigh, and tries to sneak attack the construct, to little effect.
Knife: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (3) + 4 = 7
Slam, Shechera: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (17) + 8 = 251d8 + 3 ⇒ (8) + 3 = 11
Slam, Frost: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (19) + 8 = 271d8 + 3 ⇒ (4) + 3 = 7 Please make a DC 14 Will save or be struck with fear
Will, Shechera: 1d20 + 0 ⇒ (20) + 0 = 20

Aetherys conjures electricity in her blade and moves towards the robot with a light step not unlike the Keleshite dance of the seven veils. Whirling and twisting her body in devotion to Sarenrae, she strikes the construct, hoping to deliver the crackling energy stored in Dawnblade, while the black blade mutters a mantra telepathically.
Swift: activate Spell Dance. Standard: cast shocking grasp, Move: moving S, SW, SW, S, SE. Free: Deliver the spell via spellstrike.
Dawnblade, shocking grasp (+3 vs metallic): 1d20 + 8 + 3 ⇒ (8) + 8 + 3 = 191d6 + 5 ⇒ (4) + 5 = 9 Electricity damage: 4d6 ⇒ (6, 6, 2, 1) = 15

Once Aetherys seems to be regaining her senses, Adrianna draws the admantine dagger she found earlier and advances towards the metal construct, looking for a joint or weak spot where the heavy metal weapon may have an impact.
Attack: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (16) + 2 = 18
damage: 1d4 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 2 = 6

Still confident that he could avoid harming his comrades, Boram throws another bomb into the fray.
Standard action: Throw bomb at construct (Can avoid splash damage in 3 adjacent squares with Precise Bombs)
Attack (Bomb vs. Touch AC, Point Blank Shot): 1d20 + 6 + 1 ⇒ (19) + 6 + 1 = 26
Damage (Bomb, Point Blank Shot): 2d6 + 3 + 1 ⇒ (1, 1) + 3 + 1 = 6 (of course it would be for minimum damage...)

Marra moves up (S,S,S,SE) to attract the machine with flank.
scimitar w/flank: 1d20 + 5 + 2 ⇒ (8) + 5 + 2 = 15
damage: 1d4 + 3 ⇒ (3) + 3 = 6

Seeing the effect Aetherys's electrical attack has on the construct, Cacumattus moves up (move action 3 squares south), then grabs at the creature, delivering a lightning attack of his own.
Shocking Grasp (vs touch, +3 vs metallic): 1d20 + 1 + 3 ⇒ (17) + 1 + 3 = 21 for: 2d6 ⇒ (3, 5) = 8

While Frost panic, the rest of the party stands fast. Aetherys hits the construct with a jolt of electricity, and white smoke emerges from the robot as it jerks and twitches. Being hacked up by Adrianna and Marra, and blasted apart by Boram, the construct finally collapses into a heap of smouldering metal as Cacumattus shocks it for a final time.
Combat very, very over!
The exit is now clear, and freedom lurks just around the corner. Through a tunnel. Up a pipe.

Without a thought for that victory, Aetherys urges everyone to leave this Sarenrae-forsaken place. She just casts detect magic to make sure nothing has been left behind, then runs away with the lot, leaving last to make sure no one is left behind.

"Don't anyone else want to see if there's another room or something? We are supposed to explore, right? Maybe we'll find some more useful items than metal gauntlets that aren't much good for punching anything..." Adrianna says as she looks around the room for anything useful...
Perception: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (4) + 9 = 13

Frost looks shaken, "What was that...thing?"{/b]
[b]"We could continue exploring, but perhaps we need to see these new friends to the surface, this is a home for gnomes!"

Leaving the redoubt is straightforward, as all of the original hazard were dismantled successfully. Back in Absalom, the group reports to Ambrus Valsin, who shakes his head in amazement at this new discovery. You should not have put yourself in danger like that, but reported immediately. Still, well-handled. Tell me, what did you do with the two bandits you encountered?
Flashback to what you've done with the bandits...
Also, this is pretty much it. Congratulations on making it - the next game will only start next week thursday, when it arrives on the shelves. Let's set up the campaign and get dotted in before that time, though, so we can start on day 1

After escaping the Red Redoubt, Aetherys makes sure to have an opportunity to speak with the two former bandits. "On the Society's behalf, I thank you both. Without cooperation from both sides, we may not have made it alive. I'd like to renew our offer to have you join the Society, I think both would gain much from it - you'd gain purpose and opportunities, and the Society would gain two valuable agents. What say you? "

"Its a great offer, you have so much to gain and so much you could give" Frost adds to the conversation.

Boram looks on as the others work to recruit the two, then says his piece. "More than purpose and opportunity, you will gain powerful artifacts and vast treasures, let us not forget that." Considering their original reason for being down there, that is sure to convince them...

Marra is a follower of the dawn flower who teaches redemption, speaking to the two ex-bandits "I hope you consider a career change to become pathfinders, at the very least giving up banditry!"
diplomacy: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (2) + 6 = 8
diplomacy: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (8) + 6 = 14

Life certainly has changes, and I feel I have been given a second chance.Shechera answers. It is amazing to see the change a person can go through in a day. We were stuck in that hole, and I seriously thought that was it. Yes, we will join your ranks. I'm looking forward to this... confirmation? ... you speak of.
Fade to black...
