Yes but don't we need to have purchases and sales initialed off by the gm on the chronicle sheet?

Actually, that isn't done as a rule, at least where I've played in person. Just the boxes that have "GM Initial" in it, showing how much cash, prestige etc you get. You can spend what you want. There is a tracking sheet that shows all purchases over 25gp, so there is a way to audit your char sheets to make sure your spends are pretty much what you say they are....if the adventure sheets and the tracking sheet match up, it is all good.
The one exception is retraining, near as I can tell. The doc explicitly says you need to get an initial on that, although at least in one case I've seen, the GM never got around to it.
You'll want to print out a copy of the CS and list all purchases on it, and update your tracking sheet to match, of course, to allow use of the character face to face. The only reason I've got everything documented down to the last GP in my profile right now is I have not done that yet and don't want to forget what I did for the last adventure.

oh ok that makes sense. I just thought that I read in the Society rulebook somewhere that a GM needed to sign off on all purchases.

nevermind I just read it again and just says that they must be present.
Thanks for the clear up

Sorry for the late notice, but I've decided to open up a new thread for the Stolen Heir game. Please dot in here. I thought the game would be a bit cleaner to run - the opening is important, and this way it will be easier to find to refer back to.

OK, finally I've got my purchases sorted out. I have 442 gold to start (12 + 430):
Upkeep = 10
Wand of CLW = 2 PP
Masterwork backpack = 50
Silver scrying bowl = 21
Leaving her with 361 (saving up for those bracers!)

I've started the stolen heir game in its own thread here. Have fun!
I'll deactivate this campaign once everyone is safe and sound aboard...
