So is it as simple as easy as setting the bush on fire?
very easy. But you can just walk around it which the team appears to be doing anyway, lol.
You manage to pull him around the bush successfully and he continues on his path northwards, but an hour later you see a large watery bog that Kalkamedes is heading straight into.

Kalkamedes never stops. You'd have to pin him to the ground or keep pulling him back. He won't stop until he gets to where he gets to.

Scouting ahead helps as you stop for a moment to realise Kalkamedes is about to walk straight off a cliff.

Then, walking back to where Kalkamedes is restrained, he takes a small piece of his clothing (glove, handkerchief, scarf, etc) and lets Luna sniff it for a few seconds. He then commands his animal companion to scour the area for the path the sleepwalking man took on his last visit to the area.

You're pretty certain that this was the cliff he had fell down last time from what the venture captain said. The canyon is 30ft wide with being over 70ft up at the moment. It's possible to get around, but once again you are going to need to pull on and focus on getting Kalkamedes around this area.

nothing down there at all from what you see. He just seems to keep wanting to march Northward. Also I've been assuming everyone assists you when doing this to help control the semi-retired pathfinder.
As you navigate yourself past this are you find yourselves walking through a area filled with big berry bushes under the night sky. As you march through there are plenty of game trails and Kalkamedes is still heading north, but now you see a large bear is blocking your path. At the moment it appears to not be directly threatening you, however you are marching closer and closer towards it.
I updated the map. The guy in the cap is Kalkamedes.

Whispering to his companions, Otieno asks, "If no one minds, I would prefer to resolve this encounter peacefully, not just to protect our guest here, but to avoid unnecessarily killing a wild animal. Could I have a few minutes, please?"
Assuming no one objects and they agree to hold Kalkamedes back for a few minutes, Otieno will attempt to use Wild Empathy on the bear. Seriously, I've played RPGs for 30+ years and never, ever gotten to use this power. :)
I'd prefer to take 20 on this, which would result in a check of 20 (Druid level plus Charisma modifier), but just in case that's not allowed, here's the roll:
Wild Empathy: 1d20 ⇒ 2
Well, that settles that. Either Otieno can take 20 on the roll or we're fighting a bear. :)

Safest might be to just kill the bear. Not the nicest - I know.
Though, might be safer to avoid the chance of conflict. If we can lead Kalkamedes up to the next split in the path and see which way he wants to go, we might just be able to do that.
If he wants to go to the bear, I'm okay with killing it.
How does this sound ... ?
The party proceeds with me at the front (crossbow drawn) to the split. Behind me, Kalakamedes and Thallin. At the split, if we get people with ranged weapons on either side, ready to fire if it charges.
That gives escape routes left and right and behind. If Kalkamedes and Thallin flee backwards then I will shield them from the bear if it gets to melee. If I get killed, at least the party has a chance to proceed further with Kalkamedes (assuming those on the flank manage to kill the bear).

Kalkamedes continues to attempt to make his way north.
Going to assume you manage to skirt around the Bear.
