Deluge glances at the shaft, then back at Sajan, then back at the shaft, simply shakes his head and wordlessly moves on down the mine cart rails.

I wonder if he got the name wrong. I don't think I've EVER been called and expert in modern anything. The gods save us from modern contraptions.

The group forms up and slowly heads down the passage. As you go down the atomousphere gets thicker and slightly harder to see through. However Deluge, in the front, notices what might be a torch providing some guttering illumination in the misty air. It is getting uncomfortably hot.

You will soon have to make fortitude saves or take non lethal damage from the heat.

Ahead, the druid notices a man sitting down. After a few seconds he gives off a low bestial growl. It is hard to see through the mist, but he appears to be wearing heavy armor.

As the heat starts to inch towards becoming unbearable, Garn pulls out a wand and activates it on each of the party, granting them some protection against the elements. (That should be 7 charges?)

Garn looks around the caverns and sniffs deeply, not liking the place. He doesn't like the strange man ahead, and he does not like people who would mistreat horses . And he was certainly getting uncomfortable in his skin. Without a word, he clenches his teeth, calls forth his primal connection and morphs...

Deluge is in no hurry to enter combat and decides to give the group an opportunity to buff up and prepare. He casts the Obscuring Mist spell before stepping forward into the open. Billowing clouds of moisture cover the entire party and the bestial man in armor too, slightly mitigating the smell and making it even harder to see anything. (fluff only. it still stinks)

This place is already so foggy, hopefully it won't notice anything is wrong until it is too late.

It occurs to Deluge that

2) He is sticking his neck out

He reverses course and heads back towards the group and whispers, "Guard ahead that way," while pointing to his last known location.

With frustration he realizes that nobody can see where he is pointing. Not that it matters as the man is probably on the move! With a few gestures and muttered syllables he casts shillelagh on his club, ready for the worst.

Later on Deluge emerges from a cloud and warns the party. She hoists her shield and casts Magic Fang on herself. "I'll try to keep him held down... wherever he is in that fog."

With a gesture from his head, Garn calls on Snowball to follow close behind as he pads forward together with Sajan, although he makes little attempt to stay silent as the large claws clack ominously on the ground as he moves forward. Garn readies to attack should any creature comes close enoough with hostile intent.

As Garn and Meredith emerge from the mist a beatial roar of "charge" is heard.

The four figures quickly advance on her and Garn.

Garn, ready for such a move manages to score a nasty wound on one with his claw, but it is not enough to stop the man. Garn manages to avoid the attacks, but Meredith takes some hefty blows.

Deluge moves up to the edge of the mist where he heard the commotion come from. Peering out he sees the line of thugs.

"You are better off striking them from withing the mist, you know." he says to nobody in particular. He then plops a DC 17 flaming sphere down on green.

Sajan flurries out of the mist with his sword. the ground at his feet crumbles a bit. That pit edge doesn't look very safe.

Meridth strikes and steps back. As she does so, the two men in front follow her quickly. Step up feat

A ball of fire appears, right on top of the Green Knight(tm). He screams as his armor starts to heat up. Snowball, surprisingly not phased by the flames, rips more holes in the man. But he just growls his pain away.

Garn shows up the rest of the team, ripping the green knight apart, and then doing the same to the pink one.

Grog swings mightily, but the mist throws off his aim. Deluge does no better, and to add insult to injury the flaming sphere is dodged by the red knight.

The sphere continues to follow red and Deluge makes another attempt to swat him away.
