Godfrey seems to be a bit pinned in at the moment with the arrival of the ghost. Giovanni identifies the creatures as Xill. Multiarmed pirates from the Etheral plane, they propogate their race by implanting seeds in other living creatures which then hatch from inside them. They can access the material and ethereal planes at will and are resistant to magic.

As the horrid creature seizes hold of Logan a small amulet in the shape of a silver hare bursts into life, engulfing both of them in soft blue light.

sigh, another 900 gold down the sink, oh well, at least I shouldn't die!

Spoiler:
The successful grapple triggers Logan's lesser talisman of freedom, granting him freedom of movement for the next 3 rounds. Yes, he has access to it from a chronicle sheet which has no purchase limit. This is I think the third or fourth I have gone through so far.

Struggling with the grabby arms of the xill Logan relies on his protective magic to secure him. Looking over at Riddy he see's no-one who can help the little dragon. Muttering you better appreciate this... under his breath he digs into his backpack, as ever finding just what he wanted at the top.

He draws out a slender wand of oak, wrapped with vines which somehow still seem to be alive. They gently curl around his wrist as he reaches out and taps Riddy.

Mechanics:
Logan uses a move action to draw a wand from his handy haversack and then activates it tapping riddywipple with freedom of movement. He remains grappled but I believe any action to maintain automatically fails now due to Freedom of Movement.

Sir Godfrey isn't one capable or fond of subterfuge, but he has the wisdom to keep his big mouth shut while Logan is talking with the creature. He's not particularly opposed to trading animals, though. It seems a reasonable offer and people are just going to eat the animals anyways.

He grunts something and pulls out his wand to begin healing himself with his much abused cure light wounds wand during the conversation while keeping his great sword ready in his other hand.

What language is the Xill speaking in? If it's female, Giovanni will absolutely flirt. I imagine him to be a Pathfinder version of the original James T Kirk.

Giovanni locks eyes with the Xill for a moment (how many eyes do they have?) before glancing over at Gwynnis again.

Giovanni, you mindless dog! What are you thinking?? You've gotten yourself into this sort of trouble before! And where did it lead you? If you're ever going to learn your lesson, you may as well learn it now: elvenkind just doesn't want anything to do with you. But this... She is something exotic!

Giovanni makes a show of sheathing his rapier and beaming a smile towards the Xill. He gingerly steps away from Gwynnis and gestures towards one of the Xill's more egregious wounds.

He pantomimes something to the effect of​ "Let me help you" while gently laying a hand on the Xill's thigh.
