Ella rushes forward and PUNches through the defense of the nearest loyalist. Bastian regains his footing and moves forward, while Seinaru also scrambles back to his feet to cast a spell, while Benny remains on his feet, and pokes the injured sailor, finishing him off.

The bomb explodes right on top of the leader, who goes down in a sea of flames. The nearby aide is badly hurt as well, as a strange gurgling sound emerges from the belly of the whale.

A dead human, shambling emerges from the throat of the whale. Something seems to be stuck on its head, a nautilus-like creature, which seems to be controlling it.

Ella recognises the nautilus-like creature as an Incutilis, a parasite of marine animals, that preys of the living and inhabits their bodies, controlling it like a puppet.

Turak throws his bomb, but another lurch makes him throw it off-target, as Benny and Bastian miss as well.

The bomb explodes behind the aide, and burns him from the back. He faints from the heat. The shambling zombie and parasite are hurt as well in the rain of fire.

Benny and Seinaru team up and take downthe shambling creature, leaving the parasitic monster on the floor. Severely hurt and without a host, the monster seems to try and get away.

Though Bastian doesn't manage to hit the fleeing parasite, Silval's spear give a satisfying 'squish' sound as it pierces the shell of the creature, ending it as a threat.

Olandil, the venture-captain says I must apologize for the long duration of your stay in Pezzack. You must know that we tried our best to get you out. If what these pathfinders say is true, that your pondering leaving the society, then we are losing a great man.

Olandil answers an apology is in order. I will need time to reflect on this experience before I decide what my future with the Society will hold.
