For the King! D'Ariel is ready to serve once he got his equipment finished depending on what the Kingdom is going to fund!
For my comrades at arms: I am a decent warrior and hunter weak-minded, arrogant, who likes dark humor with a deep hatred of Sorcery and monsters. However I'm looking forward to fight by yours sides against corruption and savagery!
For the future all I can say is that I really like your base idea of making the world progress together! And that I'm ready to begin whenever you are!

Thanks for picking me. Terwyn stems from Claddach, a small fisher village at the coast. Used to accompany his father when he set out in the morning hours with his little boat and helped him repair the nets, so I might add 1 rank in craft (netmaking) and profession (fishing) as background skills, if this is ok.
Was kind of a paradise, until the village got destroyed and he was brought to Greyvault (see backstory for the rest). Now he's a bitter young man with problems to accept authority, though he's aware that he better holds his head down in this new situation. At least for the time being.

Nevaal Kopile |

Nevaal grew up in the slums of Greyvault with his mother. He has a long history of getting in trouble with the human kids who made fun of his half elven appearance. He doesn't like to talk about his father, and often deflects the topic towards lighter conversation. He is commonly found within a group, making obscene and inappropriate jokes with the rest of the men, but shows obvious disapproval any time the topic of elves or magic comes about.
When he joined the watch he was given armor and a sword, both of which felt foreign to him. He works hard to match the fighting skills of his allies, but his skill with weapons are nowhere close. Nevaal feels much more comfortable fighting with his bare hands the way he did in the streets of Greyvault, and is willing to show anyone his prowess at hand to hand combat.

Okay, everyone has reported in.
Welcome to the Land of Duro. The world is fresh and unexplored. The ancient world has long past and now it is time for the new people to rize...
Here are some important things about my world:
The Gods- In Duro, the old gods have fallen. before the game starts there is no major religions dominating the humans. The only God worshiped is the God known as Varkis, the Savior. He is a NG God if humans, war, and community. He used to be a mortal man who ascended into godhood 100 years before the game.
Other gods are unknown, or unborn.
Magic- there are no special rules applied to magic other than the obvious restrictions of the lack of knowledge.
Magic Items- almost all are artifacts or cursed. Magic being so rare right now it is unlikely to make a powerful weapon.
Monsters- monsters are mostly humanoids or monstrous humanoids. Before the kingdom was established the humans where barbarian tribes who roamed the land. Before that, an ancient race of reptiles ruled. But the world began to cool down and the reptiles where driven to savagery. The race now lives near the equator where they try to keep their people in line.
The Order- the Gaurd is currently known simply as the Order. The leadership consider themselves Knights (and I'm working on a custom knight's order) and hold themselves up with pride. They have no real rules, other than the obvious. As you progress I will establish rules as problems occur.
Deaths-your character will die... whether this is from the reset (which will reincarnate your character), or being the victim of bad rolls, you will reset at the next interval. If all your characters die before the reset then I will randomize the effect of your characters absence.
Reincarnation- you will recreate your characters. Now at these times your characters will retain most of their memories and knowledge, but won't have any skills. The reason this is will be explained in game after the first major decision.
Any questions?

I had posted it in the recruitment, you start of with a suit of studded leather, hide armor, a shield other than a tower, any sword but a greatsword or exotic, an ax, a bow (non-composite), 30 arrows, and/or up to two daggers.
You may choose from those what you need. You may only have one of each however.
You can't take anything your not proficient with.
I'm gonna say that crossbows are crude at this time and are limited as simply a hunting tool. They have yet to apply it as a real weapon. Swords with finesse are rare, the most common being a shorsword/dirk.
Greatswords are rare because they are typically used for execution.

Sorry I missed the first post, alright, thanks!

No problem, gave me an excuse to shove some more lore into the Champaign.
I'm creating and logging this as we go. Have it all written down as well as the subplot.
You may recognize the inspiration for the first task.
Note: you have no need to keep track of your Exp. I will do that. Unless one of you cast wish don't expect to level up separately.
I will be doing 3-4 small quests to establish the problem then a major quest that will influence the future. You should level up after each quest, and reincarnate after the major.

Am I allowed to change this then. Because a hand crossbow would probably make even less sense, right?
edit: and is there any other religious tradition then, when gods don't play a big role yet? Shamanism, or an ancestor cult similar to what the Romans had?

There is a minor acknowledgement of the God Varkis. The king worships him and has declared him a god, but has otherwise not funded the church.
Divine classes are only an emerging class and will be one of the first spellcasters available.

Just want to make sure I don't have too much stuff.
I currently have:
Studded leather armor
Buckler
Greataxe
Longsword
Longbow (30 arrows)
2 Daggers
I wasn't sure whether we had to choose either a sword or axe and either a bow or daggers or if we could take one of each. I can drop things no problem. Still coming up with my character's flavor item.

Okay, I want to mention now that when you die and are reborn, I'm randomly rolling your next life's circumstance of birth. You may pick the race and class of course, but I'd like to see how your characters react to different situations. It may end up putting you in better or worse positions on the scale of living, but that's the point.

Nevaal Kopile |

I would like to have my mask constantly on please, if the Wardens will allow it. It is a habit my character has grown up with and his trinket and hood are always on unless he feels comfortable enough to reveal his features openly or the situation does not allow him to wear his mask and hood.

Didn't mean it that way. What I meant was that I post everytime as Wormys_Queue and then have to change it to the Terwyn alias. I used to play at another board where you would change your Alias once and then would post under this name as long as you dind#t change it again. For some reason I never had this problem there though I partially played and ran in 10 or more games at the same time.

Grognak Barbarian |

I worked 15 hours today and the site is blocked at my office. Posting from mobile with formatting is a pain so if I don't post much in the game thread during role play parts of the campaign just chalk it up to my character being the quiet type. I'll try to at least post something in here if I want to suggest something when I can't post from a proper computer.
I'd just say we should be cautious around linkon's house. With him locked up, his wife and home seem like they'd be vulnerable.

Terwyn Arragast |

wow, 15 hours straight sounds rough
Yeah, I can relate to that. I'm working as a nurse at an emergency station, and 2-3 times per month, I'm on stand-by duty, meaning that I have to work for around 14 hours and then have to stay at the hospital for another seven hours just in case of an emergency. Luckily, most of the time I can sleep through those, as our night shift can handle what comes up.

Grognak Barbarian |

My Friday wasn't all consecutive, but it was still rough. 6 a.m to about noon, then I had to go back at 4 p.m. and didn't get home until almost 3 a.m. with 4+ hours of driving involved in that span. And since I'm crazy, I got up before 6 a.m. Saturday and went hunting all day.
Hoping we get the gameplay going again soon. Haven't had a post from Dariel in a while either.
