OK, so I posted what I have so far. Now I know as my current build I will probably get mauled horribly for the first lvl or two but that's OK for me if its OK for GM. In fact I kinda like the ark or going from weak to a powerhouse. but if that doesn't fit the story then please tell me so.
I was thinking about him being a story teller type. All about the power of the spoken word. I was thinking going the speaker rout but that was too obvious and I think dreamer is cooler flavor wise.
I think his bone item should be a amulet (not magical but decoration) he wears around his neck.

Pretty much ready
I don't like Improvised Fighter for Ilona. It doesn't fit either background or future progression. Perhaps Spellcasting or some fighting feat like Cleave would be better choice. And loose the horse. You will not need it in the beginning. You can join the game as soon as you wish.

Idea is interesting so far. Looking forward to seeing complete character.

So got rid iof the horse. If I choose spellcasting it wouldn't change the fact that I'd need to be 2nd level to cast 1st level spells would it?

Still, not a bad idea. Would make 2nd level a bigger jump since I'd end up with more 1st level spells available then. Hmm... Enchantment seems like the obvious chouce but might be redundant with some of the path abilities I get as well as the Charismatic Chaneller abilities.
Would definitely make for an utterly irresistable character though.

Hi folks,
I'm taking my computer in to the shop to get looked at today. If the problem is more than they can handle at the Apple store, I might be without my machine for several weeks, which likely will hinder my ability to post.
Sorry about the inconvenience...
That's what you get for buying Apple. :) I am sorry for your problems. You have a great character and I hope that you'll get back to the game very soon.

Ditto here. Guess how many times I've *ever* had to do a virus scan, a defrag, or a system restore?

Well, to be honest, I never had any problems with Windows. I don't doubt that Apple has it's advantages, though. I'm using Win7 now and I am quite satisfied.

I'm very happy now with Windows 7 as well.
Apple makes great on the verge of outstanding equipment, but their company arrogance, and poor customer support turned me off of them years ago. In fact after one incident I sold my (2) Ipods, my Iphone, and my two Imac's all at once I was so angry, and swore I'd never go back again. Really a shame too, because as I said I really liked their equipment.

I know that Apple is big in the States, but here in Serbia it costs more than twice as much for the same computing strength, and users here tend to like to upgrade their machines, and I don't think that is really possible with Apple.

Naw it costs about twice as much for the same computing strength here but people are just ok with it here. People here just don't want to bother upgrading their computer.
Having a Pc is like having a nice old muscle car. You can really work on it and customize it the way you like. It requires some work but is well worth it for performance. Mac is like a extreemly new sports car with the engine welded in so good luck ever working on it, and its gunna cost a lot of money.

Dude, I *have* a nice old muscle car (74 Maverick). I work on it about twice a month, because I enjoy it.
I also have a sports car with a damn good engine (01 Camero) that I couldn't even begin to work on.
I drive the Camero because it just works and never breaks down. The Maverick needs a new repair every single time I take it out.
I don't want my technology to require constant maintenance. I just want it to be simple, reliable and effective. If I have to pay more for that, so be it.

I'm shocked that your 36 year old car requires work while your 9 year old car doesn't. :-).

Yea, luckly my maintenance costs me zero dollers because I know what I am doing and less time then I spend shaving so saving money/having a better computer for the money I spent is well well worth it.
BTW, rest of my charecter will be up soon. Sorry I have been swamped with work and backstory is always the hardest part for me to get togather.

To be fair, you shave every day. I shave every few weeks, usually only when it starts to itch.

You know, I intended to test you in that tunnel, but you managed to get ahead of me. There is no need for pissing contests. Dorns will try to be dominant personalities and Chops is very well thought out character with anger management issues and Ilona will be wise cracking and disrespectful one. Deal with it.
In the future, I will post in OOC the marching order of the group so that this kind of potential conflict is avoided. I am sorry for not doing that in this instance. I am very ill today and have a fever, so I hope that you will forgive me for this misstep. Now, this game has promise to be great. I hope that we won't screw it up.

I'm not sure I'm getting the tone of this post, especially the "deal with it" command. Was anyone actually offended by the Eyvindr/Chops conflict? I seriously wasn't trying to hog the spotlight. If I did offend someone or made them feel as though I was stepping on their toes as a player (not as a character), then I sincerely apologize.
I think the pissing contest was perfectly in character, and I did not think it detracted from the game (quite the opposite), but then others might feel differently. I think it would be actually lame if our PCs became instant best friends after that one brief night together (given the context), and that there would be the occasional pissing contest until the PCs had actually proven their dedication/loyalty to one another (which I don't think they have yet). So to me, inner party conflict (as long as it doesn't turn into pissing others off for the sake of pissing them off, or into intra-party violence), is a vehicle for PC and party growth.
I don't think the marching order thing was a misstep that needs forgiving. I think everyone role-played through it well...
I agree that this game has promise to be great, and I think it's been off to a great start... again, my apologies to those who felt my RPing of Eyvindr was out of line.
I hope you get well soon, Nightflier.
Wishing everyone a great weekend...

I think it was perfectly handled and couldn't have turned out better. The best games create themselves through the interactions of great characters under the situations created by a skilled GM.
We have all the elements of that here.
I'm pretty sure the "deal with it" was essentially saying, these characters are going to be annoying by nature, and your character is just going to have to deal. It was tho the characters more so than the players.

Exactly, Solvistania hasn't quite let her inner b**** out yet, hehe
But for a second I thought she was going to let out her inner l*s*i*n.
I was having fun with it, but trying to keep it from getting violent while still keeping in character. For the introduction, I had no idea what would be a good way to start, since orcs are the bad guys in a big way, and reading the backgrounds I knew these guys weren't going to take kindly to an orc just walking up to them and saying hi. However, Chops is a very friendly, happy-go-lucky orc who does have angry orc blood and a take no poop attitude, which I am sure half of our party has.
Anyway, nightflier is handling this perfectly. I was sure that a good battle would bring the dworg and dorn into respectful terms once they saw each others battle prowess.
BTW, I am Chops and Senmont. Senmont wat the first character I registered for PFS, whom I haven't played yet but I was using him as default until now. I still need to use Chops to dot posts though.

Yeah, that would be interesting, he he. I just played her as over-reacting to Ilona's overpowering charisma, which I figured would affect her strongly, just as if she was a man. I don't know if she would actually be physically attracted to her. Plus, after thinking about it, I think having overt sexual attraction like that would detract from the overall mood of the game.
Still, if anyone would be a l*s*i*n, she would, definitely, he he.

Kratzee |

I don't know how Chops would react to Ilona's charisma either. In his backstory, he has been in a relationship with a human, but I pictured her to be more like Darling from the Black Company novels. Not attractive at all, just tough. Plus, he isn't exactly human or even that human-like.
I agree on the mood of the game. This setting seems very doom and gloom. If this campaign were a story and the PCs were the main characters, I would expect most of them to die off before the endgame, with maybe even all of them perishing at the end.

I think as long as Chops is alive, in other words, not a Fell, he should be affected by Ilona's charisma, I mean it is her heroic path she chose, and to deny that it affects iour character, slights Ilona in a way. Just my opinion. I wouldn't say she is like our new friend Jenny, but she is definitely charismatic, and should be RP'd that way.
As for the tone of Midnight. Yes it is doom and gloom, no doubt about it. There is a good chance we will all die at the end of this. The campaign setting can be played in either one of two ways:
1. There is no way to win, the Shadow is undefeatable. or
2. there may be a way to beat him.
Nightflier said before there was a way to defeat the Shadow. So I would say we have a chance to do it.

Come to think of it, what happens in the event of character death? I have been until last summer. Then our DM allowed us to roll new characters at one level below the party, which work well for us. Especially since there was a high body count. (one of the players lost 4 characters up to level seven and as of now, we are taking a hiatus because of the DM's schedule, my PC is the only one alive albeit in the hands of an ilithid.) Can I say illithid here are will I get sued? I think this campaign is off to a great start and I was leery about doing PbP. I was worried that it would turn out like the "prisoners" campaign which you [Eric] cursed last night. I hope this goes until the end.

I dunno, WOTC is pretty strict about the illithid thing. (He he, now I will get sued.)
I haven't had good luck with PhP that i have recently, they keep dying. Glad Reonnyn is still going, he he. Dragonborn3 is reliable, he is in another of my PbP, my RotRL one.

Rolled out the stats for my awakened Ravens. The results are... amusing.
Muni- Int: 13 Chr:10
Hugi- Int: 18 Chr: 8
So yeah, the raven that has yet to appear in the game is a frickin' genius. (all 6's on 3d6. I've never had that happen to me before.) I think Solvistania is the only party member who's smarter than that bird. ;)

Ragnar Death-Speaker |

Ragnar, I am trying to figure out how your character works. How does a barbarian get familiars? Not questioning anything other than satisfying curiosity.
Well, originally they were just going to be animals trained with the Handle Animal skill (ragnar's good at that). The animals were very important to the character's motif, but the heroic path he has makes animals terrified of him.
Nightflier suggested that they be awakened animals, to both get around the issue and to make them more in line with the whole "spirit-guide" theme.
So actually, he doesn't have familiars (next level one of them will be, and then the other at third with the "extra familiar" feat). he just has some super-smart animals by virtue of a creative backstory and GM Fiat.
