Having slipped through Idorii's defenses, Aleris retreats back to stand next to an advancing Ra-Khefer before whipping around and firing a shot at the warrior.

While Turel could not see all that was taking place on the other side of the chamber, he could tell his friends had run into some stiff resistance. Seeing the gate bar his path did not sway his decision to act here.

Drawing his sling and readying a bullet, he calls out in an even voice. "Perhaps you should reconsider your actions here. You are trapped and I shall provide no quarter should you persist here!"

Turel will take his delayed action now. As a move action he will draw his sling.

Ra took a step, putting him next to Idorii.
"You are wrong. It is Pharasma's will that we explore here and not you.
"You are wrong again. Your feeble ambush failed to stop us from coming here.
"You are wrong yet again. My friends are quite safe behind me.
"You should wonder, what else are you wrong about?"
He said menacingly.
Suddenly, he brought both fists up and struck down on the stone beneath him. A shockwave broke the stone into jagged and unstable rubble, creating an area of Difficult Terrain in his square and each square around him. Used Treacherous Earth racial ability.
"For NOW you face the PAH-MET!" He shouted.

Somehow, he manages to avoid the fiery attack and the conjured weapon, deciding to press on the caster, still taunting the leader of their opponents, and actually stopping his movement right next to her - "You see... We will win this, and in the end after all your puppets here have fallen, you will be hoping we forgive your actions - regrettably, I am inclined to say no" - he finishes, blowing her a kiss, and attacking Azaz.

Tumbling 15' to get right on Velriana's face (I want to see her get away now :D), but attacking the caster of the fire spell (Azaz Arafe) - I am unclear as to whether the Glitterdust actually 'neutralized' the Mirror Image on Velriana or not...

Blinded doesn't say that it denies AoOs, but you do get a 50% miss chance.

Blinded Total Concealment vs Polux: 1d100 ⇒ 44 Even if Khelru gets an AoO, it turns into a miss due to concealment

It doesn't say anything about denying flanking either. Intuitively it seems to me that Khelru can still wildly flail from his side even while blinded, so Polux would need to be watchful in that direction, which would mean flanking. But if there's wording to the contrary somewhere, please point it out.

Edit: I looked it up and total concealment means you don't threaten, and if you don't threaten, you can't flank either, so blinded = no AoO and no flank.

The oread Treacherous Earth trait seems to me like it's 10' radius, so 2 squares in each direction from Ra-Khefer. I will change it to that on the map for now, but if Ra-Khefer wishes, he may change it to 5' radius this once. Let me know.

Polux, is your AC increased at this moment? The tagline under your name says AC 16, in which case the ghostly quarterstaff's 17 attack should have hit.

I moved Aleris to a rough guess of where she meant to go. Please let me know if I positioned her incorrectly.

Kito's Glitterdust descends on Velriana, Khelru and Azaz, but blinds only Khelru. Khelru feels double-teamed upon as Deseri's Shadow Trap nails his shadow to the floor, preventing him from moving. "Agh! I can't see! I can't move!" He might have argued against Deseri's words were he not so preoccupied by the spell onslaught.

Polux's longspear attack misses Azaz.

When the earth is shattered around Ra-Khefer, Idorii looks momentarily shaken as she's taken by surprise, but she quickly regains her balance to just barely dodge Aleris' arrow. Then, however, it's her turn to act. Her AC returns back up to normal after the charging action wears off, and she makes a trip attack against Ra-Khefer with her khopesh. She has Improved Trip, so it does not provoke an AoO.

Trip vs Ra-Khefer: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (16) + 8 = 24

"There may be more of you", Idorii answers Aleris' words. "But we're better."

Yep, I have a '--Status--' at the end of each of my posts (usually when in combat). The updated AC is there ;)

It might be easier to update this in the header where GMs look. Throw a STATUS or active conditions section in your header, and it's all good.

There was no place he could get to Idorii for a color spray, so Harmose cast Bless to help his allies hit the resilient Idorii.

Idorii gasps out in pain as Qari's cold blast hits her dead center, staggering the half-elf momentarily.

After Harmose casts his spell, it's Khelru and Velriana's turn again.

Khelru's spiritual weapon makes an attack at Polux.

Staff vs Polux: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (1) + 7 = 8

Blinded, Khelru can't use most of the spells available to him, but that's all right because he wants to get out of Deseri's Shadow Trap anyway, and that takes a full round action.

Save vs Shadow Trap: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (2) + 8 = 10

After his actions he also gets a new save against Kito's Glitterdust.

Save vs Glitterdust: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (19) + 8 = 27

Sighing in relief, he overcomes that at least. "I can see again! What...is this thing!" he gasps out, tugging on his stuck shadow, still pinned. It does allow him to move five feet, however, which he does, taking a five foot step northwestward.

Velriana grits her teeth in annoyance and takes out a wand, pointing it at Polux, assuming she's inside the reach weapon's threat. "Die, fool!"

Scorching Ray Ranged Touch vs Polux: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (9) + 6 = 15 I believe Polux's touch AC is 13?
Damage: 4d6 ⇒ (2, 3, 1, 4) = 10 Fire

Posting Azaz proactively again. As before, Aleris' action goes before this and may prevent this.

Azaz takes a five foot step back and uses a move action to guide the Flaming Sphere against Polux again.

Then he casts a bolt of force from his fingers at Polux.

Doubt that will hit, if Azaz has an AC of over 18, hers is probably better :P Maybe trying to open the gate?

The ethereal staff misses Polux as the man sidesteps away from it - yet, Velriana's blast takes him squarely in the chest, leaving a smoking burn to show for it.

He smiles through gritted teeth at the woman, even as the smoldering ball of fire comes at him once more - "You lack imagination" - he growls at the caster, tumbling away from it again.

Reflex: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (13) + 6 = 19

He does take another hit from the magical bolt, however - "That is better, though not enough" - he snarls at Azaz.

"I will be right back hun" - he offers a polite nod at Velriana, stepping to the side to thrust at the spellcaster again.

Although Adoril has most of her attention, Kito notices what is happening with Polux. She calls out "Can someone summon some water to put out that ball of flame!"

The spell says anything that would put out a normal fire of that size. Seems dumping 6 gallons of water (create water) should have a reasonable chance of doing that.

Turel's shortspear vs Velriana misses.

Polux's longspear vs Azaz Arafe hits, and takes Azaz to the negatives. The young wizard is down.

Idorii Will DC 16 vs Misfortune: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (13) + 1 = 14 Takes hold

Idorii has been severely damaged by the double-teaming of Qari's cold blast and Aleris' arrow which both hit. She manages to dodge Ra-Khefer's powerful blow, but even so she's re-strategizing. She decides to retreat back toward the rest of her group, taking the Withdraw action which allows her eight squares of movement, and no AoO from the first square. "Khelru! Need some backup here!" she calls out as she's heading toward the cleric.

Acrobatics DC 10 vs Grease first square: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (1) + 11 = 12
Acrobatics DC 10 vs Grease second square: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (12) + 11 = 23

She skates over the Grease with ease to reach the square to the right of Khelru, which puts her out of Qari and Aleris' line of sight. They will have to move to keep attacking her, and there is difficult terrain slowing that down.

Qari and Harmose's turn.

"You were being overconfident", Khelru chastises Idorii.

"Yeah well I was holding off half their team while the three of you are messing around here with one of them and losing!" Idorii retorts, and then her eyes widen in horror. "Azaz! Look out!", but too late as Polux's spear skewers the young man.

"Azaz!" Khelru calls out in distress as well, and his face hardens as he looks at Polux. "Picking on the little boys, are we? Coward."

Imma let Deseri decide her action now that we know Azaz went down.

In game it was asked that the fire be put out and that Samy was going to wait for my action before we know if the caster is taken out. Therefore I went with one of my two already stated plans.

Harmose moves forward, trying to find a spot that will not block Qari and Aleris's shots when they move as well. Seeing Idorii on his grease patch, he grins.

So long as she's on that grease, she's flat-footed.

"On my grease, she's less agile. Shoot her now!"

"I'll take down the grease once you two shoot, so Ra-Khefer can go through!"

He readies an action to take down the grease once they shoot.

With both Qari and I delaying, that also drops us into the rest of the team's initiative block, which will make tracking this simpler. It will be Us, then Team Nethys.

It is unfortunate that from Harmose's position, he cannot see Azaz, nor understand the shout that Azaz is down, so he cannot call for either surrender or a truce to parley.

Since I'll be asleep most of the day today I'll go ahead and post Aleris' action now as well as move her on the map to where she'll want to go.

"Get her now Qari, then Harmose will make things safe again!" Aleris calls out, trying to get his message across to Qari without the Scorched Hand being able to pick up on it. "Harmose, මට ඔහු දැකීමට නොහැකි නමුත් මම Azaz වසා හෝ ඉතා හානියක් වේ හිතන්න!"

Auran:

"Harmose, I can't see him but I think Azaz is down or very hurt!"

She moves further down the corridor, rounding the corner and once again moving to stand where she stood moments before. Raising her bow she takes aim at Idorii once more.

Attack vs. Idorii (MW Longbow; Bless, Divine Favor, PB Shot): 1d20 + 7 + 1 + 1 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 7 + 1 + 1 + 1 = 14
Damage: 1d8 + 1 + 1 ⇒ (6) + 1 + 1 = 8

That might actually hit if Idorii is flat-footed from standing in the Grease!

Working on a post now.

Deseri's Create Water douses and puts out the Flaming Sphere, which becomes just a spongy mass of some obscure magical ectoplasm that glows faintly with reddish embers but not enough to cause any damage anymore.

Both Khelru and Velriana recognize that Polux's longspear will be difficult to wield in close quarters and they take five foot steps to get inside his threat range. Then we get another blast from Velriana's Wand of Scorching Ray while Khelru casts a spell on Idorii.

Scorching Ray Ranged Touch vs Polux: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (10) + 7 = 17 Damage: 4d6 ⇒ (2, 6, 4, 4) = 16
Cure Moderate Wounds on Idorii: 2d8 + 3 ⇒ (7, 3) + 3 = 13

Azaz Arafe then tries to stabilize.

Stabilization DC 10: 1d20 + 2 - 3 ⇒ (17) + 2 - 3 = 16 Stable!

Everyone's turn except Aleris who posted proactively.

Aleris' arrow comes *real close* to damaging Idorii, but despite being flatfooted on the grease and losing all dexterity bonuses, her AC is still sufficient to avoid the damage. Barely. Aleris' arrow hits Idorii's armor and gets stuck on it, but doesn't penetrate all the way through.

Harmose sighs. There aren't many options. The team is losing. Ra needs to get in the fight, and the team needs every advantage they can get. If only someone could provide Ra a flank... Then he realizes that there is no one else but him. Qari and Aleris... they're ranged. He swallows. I can survive a single hit. Ra better make the best of this opportunity.

Not just lucky. Crazy! Harmose was supposed to be the guy who stands in the back and runs away... But he just won't do it. Everytime the team is in trouble, he runs in entirely the wrong direction.

"She'll be my next priority after I take care of my would-be boyfriend!" Velriana responds. Selfishly, she seems to care more about her past interactions with Polux than the fact that Polux just possibly killed Azaz.

"Hang in there, Idorii! Hold them off just a little longer! I'll try and see what I can do for you!" Khelru calls out.

I believe I forgot Khelru's Spiritual Weapon. I think it's only taken two rounds against Polux yet, so there's a third unaccounted for.

It would take me 4 rounds at full speed to get to where Qari and Aleris are. I am just going to stay here at hope to lock them in their places. I am so freaking slow and not much help but by staying put I am more help then if I moved.

Guys... Come on... Why is everyone targetting Idorii? Leave her to Ra-Khefer, and focus on the casters. She is clearly a martial type, and really the least of all threats at the moment. You would be taking such a scolding if Reknar was here... Geeeez...

Polux is again hit hard by Velriana's magical wand. The wounds begin to pile up, and he is just about pondering his next movement, when Harmose comes wading in to the fray - "What are you doing here?" - he still manages to crack a laugh - "You are a beautiful, but oh so very crazy man my friend"

Polux's Acrobatics is sufficient to avoid attacks of opportunity from Velriana's dagger, however I believe Khelru also threatens Polux, so he will have to separately roll versus Khelru. (I don't think you just roll against the highest opponent CMD but all of them. If I'm wrong here, please correct me.)

Polux Acrobatics vs Khelru AoO: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (2) + 11 = 13 Failure, Khelru gets AoO

Khelru Staff vs Polux: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (20) + 6 = 26 Crit?: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (20) + 6 = 26 Damage: 2d6 + 6 ⇒ (2, 5) + 6 = 13

I believe that takes down Polux before he can complete his move to the indicated square. It also prevents the wand disarm against Velriana. Again, if I'm misunderstanding something, please let me know.

I guess you are right - I didn't know that I had to roll multiple times. Polux is down in that case, at -8hp. There is really not much to do against those rolls. And I was so proud of how he was doing. Oh well...

All of the following is assuming the above post is correct; if I've got it wrong, then ignore this post and I will redo Scorched Hand poses according to the different situation.

Khelru tries to free himself from Deseri's Shadow Trap.

"Free! Finally!" Khelru gasps out in relief and takes a five foot step to put himself at Azaz's side.

Velriana is surprised when Khelru takes care of Polux for her, as she had rather oriented herself towards destroying Polux herself. It takes her a split second to re-orient herself towards the other targets to the north. "Targets, targets, so many of them. But that tiefling is well covered by her allies. Another target, then, perhaps...?" she muses to herself. "Oh I know. Turnabout is fair play, isn't it?" she smiles viciously, and casts a spell into the passage beyond Idorii.

Glitterdust against Aleris, Qari, Kito and Ra-Khefer. Will DC 18 to avoid blinded condition.

Idorii swings her dual blades, khopesh and kukri, at Harmose, attempting to get rid of her flanking handicap. "I don't like skulkers behind me. You're putting me in an uncomfortable position. Nothing personal." She executes a full attack with both weapons against the Ipeqian, hampered by Kito's Misfortune still.

Khopesh vs Harmose: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (14) + 7 = 21
Khopesh vs Harmose: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (4) + 7 = 11
Kukri vs Harmose: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (15) + 5 = 20

If Khelru is still grappled then he has to do the concentration against the grapple and that DC is a oh so impressive 14 cause I suck at this. Also he was already at his limit to move so he could not touch to heal his lovely boyfriend, right?
