Damage tally to enemy: 5hp from Polux, 12hp from Polux, fast healing heals 2hp -- total damage done 15hp.

As Polux moves, he provokes an attack of opportunity, which almost becomes a critical but is reduced to a normal hit by Kito's Misfortune. Polux then retaliates with a devastating thrust with his longspear right into the center of the statue, shattering it into pieces.

Qari waits while the others clear a safe path for the remainder of the group. She'd love to find some documentation about that last construct they fought. If that creature could take her energy power and use it against her, perhaps there would be something recorded about the source of the elemental powers.

Polux notices that the eastern doors have signs of having been recently picked. You open the eastern doors out of D13 and can see some corridor going both east and south. (Map revealed.) The corridor to the east has a bend southeastward and then disappears into the darkness. The corridor to the south has double doors westwards (shown on map) and then curves southeastwards.

A stone effigy of a humanoid figure stands at the north end of this room, its arms spread in a gesture of supplication, or as if commanding an object to rise in the air. The figure’s face is devoid of detail, with only vague contours where the eyes and nose should be. An extensive series of hieroglyphs covers the western wall, opposite a stone bench that stands against the eastern wall.

I can do the rolling if you like but I want you to indicate when to, because I would know when to look for a secret door so the character would always just "know" to look at the right times.

Polux creeps further eastward and begins to hear voices up ahead. They sound like modern languages and the voices sound familiar. He believes the Scorched Hand are up ahead along the eastern corridor. Very close by. He catches a glimpse of a gate up ahead, similar to the gate at D12.

"Yes, they are here" - Polux nods with a somber look, then retrieves a flask from his belt.

With a sidelong glance at Kito, whom he knows is perfectly aware of what he is about to do, he smiles - "Bottom's up?" - then quaffs it without a second thought.

What happens is not unlike what did when he had drank the concoction for the first time, but this time around everyone witnesses it - his body contorts, but Polux keeps it under control, even though it seems his frame gets taught as wood at first.

Doubling over slightly, he clenches his hands - "Almost done" - he growls in the same guttural voice Kito had heard before - his muscles bulging immensely, threatening to rip his clothes, as if his arms, torso, neck and legs simply gained mass out of nothing - neck veins bulging in an effort to keep the blood circulating through his brain.

It stops as abruptly as it started, and he stares at the others - "I am ready" - even his teeth seem somewhat... Pointier? Feral like?

And thus Polux drinks his Mutagen ;)

On top of it he will also consume a Shield extract, but that's really not that interesting :P

Looking to Polux, Kito asks "Think you can creep forward and check the gate? They have been allowing thing to lock behind them, and I would rather not find out the gate is locked during combat."

She then sets up a message spell followed by guidance on Polux before he sneaks off.

In case things advance quickly:
At Polux's signal, Kito would cast Guidance on herself and signal for everyone to move forward. She would like to open combat with a Glitterdust if she can get most of the Scorched Hand in it. Misfortune on meleer.
