"Da open sea doesn't agree with this dwarven stomach." Dargon answers as half his mates look at him as if asking if he is suffering from the same poison as Sekathral.

Not sure if you guys want to do/know anything before this post, so feel free to backtrack.

Sekathral doesn't seem to get any worse after the initial attack, though he remains weak. The rest of the night and the next day passes without incident.

Dinner starts off pleasantly enough but again a minute in, Sekathral suddenly develops a headache and his stomach starts cramping.

The following day, Zstelien would prepare Detect Poison in place of Mending.

As Seka spasms in pain again Zstelian rushes to his side and studies his food through a spell.

His voice tails off and he slumps against the ship's side, holding onto a bulkhead for support.

As Kyson rushes to help Sekathral, Zstelian detects poison in the elf's food, which is clearly affecting him.

You can determine the exact type of poison with a DC 20 Wisdom check. A character with the Craft (alchemy) skill may try a DC 20 Craft (alchemy) check if the Wisdom check fails, or may try the Craft (alchemy) check prior to the Wisdom check.

Sekathral's eyes roll up into his head and he crashes unconscious to the floor, lips blue and with a strand of bloody drool trickling from the corner of his mouth.

How are you at negative hit points? Your Con is 5, which puts you at -15 hp, but that should still leave you with 14, no?

Silvio is about to suggest that perhaps Sekathral should cut down on the alchohol until Zstelian identifies poison as the culprit. The revalation changes everything and the chelaxian starts touting another tune. "To try and poison Silvio's good friend is like trying to poison Silvio himself! Silvio will have a talk with the cook", he says slamming his fist into the table and rising. With a deft leap over the table the sea captain reaches the door within a few strides and is well on his way to the galley.[/b]

Kyson sighs deeply as Seka's convulsions reveal more pain than the elf can bear.

"C'mon, Seka...fight it off. Throw it up!" Kyson tries to help Seka throw up by sticking his fingers down the elf's throat.

If I beat the DC of poison, you get a +4 on your next save.

Kyson turns and points at...uh...uh...Kyson's eyes flicker from individual to individual, trying to figure out which of the party he can count on to be quick and responsible with this important task.

"Dargon! In my bunk there is an antitoxin! Can you get it!? QUICK!"

I was multiplying my HD by the Con damage and subtracting it from my HP when I should have been multiplying it by the penalty to my Con checks, so yes, Sekathral is still at 14 hp. Sorry!

Sekathral is not particularly pleased to have Kyson's fingers down his throat, but is too weak to resist. Signs of life appear - he splutters and gags, making a pathetic attempt to make the cleric desist, but only seems to be hanging onto consciousness by a very thin thread indeed

The Mwangi woman jumps up from where she was eating her supper in shock as Silvio bursts in ahead of Zstelian and Khazmia.

"What de hell are you talking about?" she asks. "Dis is good food, not poison!"

Dargon remains at Sekathral's side, helping Kyson take care of the elf. In this Dargon's true dwarven heritage, where the dwarves put their sick and dead on pedestals of honor, shows as he does the most menial task without complaint.

Silvio freezes in place with his finger pointed accusingly at Louly as his psyche processes the situation. Caught in the bravado of the moment he had completely forgot that the cook was a woman. The ladies man stands still for a few awkward moments as his inner nature and instincts fights for control. A part of him remembers the reason he stormed into the galley and intends to continue the confrontation. The other is only concerned with that Louly is a woman and works to put a pearly smile on his face and move into a casual stance. "Action" Silvio gains the upperhand and the chelaxian keeps his voice stern and determined. "Zstelian has identified arsenic in the elf's food. You prepared the meal!"

Some questions for you mott:
Who was eating at the dinner table?
Anyone else in the room?
How was the food brought to us?
Did we get served individually or did we pick the food from a shared pot?

Kyson, youre ministrations don't seem to be doing anything to help Sekathral, who continues to get paler and weaker by the moment. And is now down two more Con!

The dinner table includes almost everyone who's not on duty: the PCs, Capt. Amella, Urol, Skald, Avner, Lirith and Father Feres. The only other people in the room while you were there were Louly, the cook, and Tavey, the page boy, who brought you the individual plats of food.

Ravens tries again to help Sekathral, inducing vomiting like a pro.

From Seka's drinking habits, he's probably a professional vomitter too.

"Drink this down, Seka...might be the only thing that saves you. Drink it down and keep it down!"

Kyson smooshes Seka's cheeks together in order to create a nice hole in which to pour the liquid.

Furious doesn't even come close to describing Sekathral's feelings at the moment, being manhandled by Nurse Kyson in front of a dwarf, of all people. You get the impression that, if he comes out the other side, somebody is going to suffer a great deal for what he's going through.

Nevertheless, he drinks down the antitoxin, scowling grumpily once he's swallowed it all.

"Now... I want... a proper drink!", he gasps, reaching out feebly for his bottle of Green Man whisky.

That last sense motive should have been +2 higher for favored enemy.

The antitoxin seems to have the desired effect as Sekathral seems to at least stabilize, though the elf still look like he's not far from Pharasma's realm.

Silvio and Khazmia follow Zstelian to their shared quarters, where the two servants are eating their own dinner. Both men look up as the trio enters.

"I'll guess you'll be praying with me tomorrow, eh, Sekathral? We'll need to ask the Sun for blessings to cure you," Kyson moves his smiling face right in the elf's face.

Zstelian's going to wait for Silvio to begin the interrogating but while it's going on he'll look for signs of a liar.
