Grubgullet makes it into position, but as he does, he falls to the ground, unable to withstand the blows of the horde of enemies. Sly manages to stop the bleeding, but the hulking lug does not stir.

After being healed, I am at -3. I don't mind this, because my only option besides letting this happen was to step back and ignore the combat entirely.

Yeah I can't do too much either, arrows don't do anything and I don't want to use much of my CLW for damage because we probably need it to survive.

Aury'tss looses another two arrows towards the skeletons, continuing her song as Sly rushes through the hole left by Grubgullet.

Aury you can't shoot at #3 as it is around the corner. If you moved up to Goivan you might be able to get a shot at 7 or 8.

I'll wait a bit in case Aury wants to rechoose targets, or Shaeyl wants to jump in.

Ah, then there's not much I can do, I was going to leave that open so Shaeyl can get in and maybe do some damage. I guess I could follow Grub's lead and just wade in, since I can't do much otherwise.

Standard action: Tactician sharing teamwork feat: No movement AOO's if next to an ally. Lasts 4 rounds, effects all allies.
Shouldn't take any AOOs from my movement. Going up next to Grub and Sly.

Round 4

Initiative:

Aury 28
Shaeyl 19
Goivan 16
Grub 14
Skeletons 13
Sly 12

Aury calls out, "Ok lets watch each other's backs." and scampers into the room as Goivan guards her entrance. by RAW the escape route works even if the ally is unconscious, which seems a little silly. Somehow Grub's presence manages to protect Aury as she dives into the shadow of his bulk as he lays out flat on the stone floor, grievous wounds still evident.

Shaeyl, any action? The path is clear.

Goivan continues his assault, hitting with axe, and a nasty goring headbutt. I will assign the damage to #3 since you didn't specify and they are all either unwounded or barely wounded.

Grub lies sprawled out on the floor still, but is stable.

The skeletons move to surround Goivan, and one of them attacks Aury'tss. The fight with extra power now that the gargoyle is surrounded and they have down one of you.

Sly and Aury are unable to make out what the fuss is about.

Technically not in melee, although it seems ranged attacks across diagonal are valid, but there may be cover.

Round 4 - end

Sly moves to heal Grub further.

Aury, was your heal part of round 4 or for round 5? I don't think you have enough movement to move and cast in round 4.

I assume people are ready for round 5, but maybe still waiting on Shaeyl. If everyone could please post the Round they are posting the action for at the start of the post, that helps me a LOT.

Shaeyl really doesn't have any ranged that will be effective against these guys. I think they have sufficient acid resistance to overcome 1d3

Skeletons? I don't want to metagame really, but I don't think undead are naturally resistant to acid - might as well try and see what happens.

Aury'tss channels her healing magic into Grub, soothing some of his wounds even more. Grub I think you are up to 12 hp

Shaeyl considers using acid on the skeletons but can't remember if they are resistant or not.

Goivan smashes his axes into a skeleton and, then leans in and with a savage bite, tears the neck vertebrae out of the creature, and its skull flops off its head, clattering the floor, the jaw spinning away and the skull rolling awkwardly in a separate direction as the body and armor collapse to the floor.

You're right. But I don't want to use the acrobatics, because then I'd just provoke from casting. I'd rather have the chance against my 22AC while moving than most likely fail a defensive casting roll.

Skeleton #4 AOO vs Aury AC 22: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (18) + 7 = 25 - hit

longsword damage vs Aury: 1d8 + 3 ⇒ (7) + 3 = 10

She casts her spell (skeleton only gets one AOO) and heals Goivan of some portion of his wounds.

Shaeyl strikes out with his sword again, but fails to penetrate the heavily armored skeleton as it ducks his swing, his fist however finds a spot, square in the skeleton's face as it stoops low to avoid his first blow, and he knocks the skull off its bony neck, the necromantic magic holding the bones together and serving as connective tissue, disintegrating, the collection of bones, armor and weapons collapsing in a heap.

Yes it is! And actually, I think with it, none of them provoke AoOs until I try to cast. Escape route is 'no AoOs if adjacent to ally". I started next to grub and 8, so when I moved away it was nothing. Going up next to 5, there was nothing because I was still next to grub, and then I'm next to Goivan as well.
But it doesn't protect against casting AoOs, so I'll roll concentration
That should be everything for round 6 for me.

Nice damage

Electricity crackles and Goivan strikes out with his axe again crushing the skeletal warrior nearest him. The powerful blows and hammer the skeleton and a shower of arcing sparks dance over the undead creature as it crumples in a heap.

Aury slips up and heals the wobbling staggering Shaeyl of his most grievous recent wounds. At least he won't keel over immediately.

Hopefully Shaeyl checks in

Goivan takes a slight step and mauls into another skeleton, his twin axe spinning. The end of the axe strikes the skeleton nearest Grubgullet, hammering it, chopping into its armor and bone chips fly as it reels. His other attacks are not successful, as the heavy defenses of the armored skeletons hold.

Grubgullet, weakened from the shadow's drain, still manages to swing a meaty fist at the same skeleton that Goivan hit. The ogre's fist is like a sledgehammer, and after Goivan's crushing axe blow, the skeleton shatters.

Will wait for Shaeyl and then I will run the skeletons and Sly.

Aury fires her bow again into the fray, trying her darndest to not hit an ally as they wheel about, dodging and feinting. The chaos is too much and her arrows miss her mark, but at least she doesn't hit a friend.

Shaeyl moves to attack as well, but his attacks have difficulty in battering through the skeletons heavy armor and shields, and Shaeyl perhaps has to admit that his attacks were not all that well timed to begin with. Hopefully no one notices.

Goivan continues his bellowing and raging onslaught. His axe lands an accurate blow, and sparks and bone shards fly as she hacks through the skeleton's breastplate, weakening it even more. His follow up axe and gore are blocked by the skeleton just barely, who intercepts them with his shield. Goivan has one more trick though, he lunges to the side, his horns pulling the shield away and allowing him to seize the skeleton by the throat and crunches down hard, severing the necromantic bond as the skull topples to the floor and the rest of it clatters to the floor. One to go...

Grub go! FINISH HIM!

Grubgullet takes a 5' step and unleashes a flurry of kinetic fists on the last skeleton.

Kinetic Fist Flurry Attack 1: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 2 = 3
Damage: 1d8 + 6 + 1d6 ⇒ (8) + 6 + (5) = 19

Kinetic Fist Flurry Attack 2: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (19) + 2 = 21
Damage: 1d8 + 6 + 1d6 ⇒ (3) + 6 + (6) = 15

One fist is a mile wide and Grub almost stumbles, but he recovers and slams his other fist hard into the skeleton, his ham sized hands shattering bones.

Not quite dead..

The skeleton, knowing it is soon done for takes a final stab at Goivan

longsword attack: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (5) + 7 = 12 - miss

Sly moves in and attacks with a full barrage of his natural weapons

Sly claw: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (4) + 10 = 14
Sly claw: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (7) + 10 = 17
Sly bite: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (13) + 9 = 22
Sly tail: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (8) + 4 = 12

bite damage: 1d3 + 6 ⇒ (1) + 6 = 7

Against the heavy armor his claws don't do very well, but he manages to get his reptilian snout in close and snaps at the skeleton's neck which ends the skeleton.

Battle over!

"RAAAAAAGGHHH!!!" Goivan curb stomps the skeleton that just fell, shattering bone all over the floor. With a final breath of air he calms down, slumping over as the drawbacks from his rage hits him. "Well...that was one hell of a fight. Here Grub, you're wounded..."

LoH x2: 1d6 ⇒ 31d6 ⇒ 2

That's the last of my healing for the day.

Aury's stops her song, though it echoes through the stone corridors for a second before silence returns to the underground structure.
"Come on, we should get out of here before something else shows up. You too Goivan. I don't know how you got here, but I don't think any of us are ready for another fight down here. We can figure out what else is down here tomorrow - if we have time before the attack on the town."
She slings her bow over her shoulder and brushes the dust off her clothes as she looks around the piles of shattered skeletons.

"Urgh... so weak. Just wanna sleep forever..."

He immediately makes good on that, and collapses, fast asleep, in the middle of a pile of bones.

Grub's taken a lot of ability damage, so if anyone in the party can learn Lesser Restoration now that we're 3rd level, I'd appreciate it.

"No no no! You can't sleep here Grub! We don't know what else is down here!"
Aury'tss pushes Grubgullet ineffectually, trying to get him closer to the door.
