Goliath, War Scion of Ragathiel |

Goliath smiles and enjoys lunch taking note on how nice of a day it is.
So peaceful. You wouldn't know war is coming.
He looks to the halfling at lunch.
"Thank you for your assistance this day Jopple. I hope our brothers and sisters that are out on mission are doing well. I only hope this day did not give the enemy that advantage."
He smiles at Xanya.
"I don't underestimate gear at all. I know they don't have what we need or want and I don't bother wasting time looking for scraps while the enemy approaches with a device that may bring down the city for all we know. I put the needs of the city and the people I offered to help over my own selfish desires. Goodwin taught me of the knightly virtues and sacrifice is among them. Please finish your business and hope it hasn't cost our brothers and sisters their lives or endangered the people of the city."

CaveToad |

Can Quassine or Xanya use a pearl of power? Do we need to do anything more in order for Quassine to craft whatever we want? How much "gold" do we actually have? Did we manage to sell of our extra gear and gems? What strength rating can I order for Xanya? I can't get an adaptive bow instead right? If I can get an adaptive bow I want that, if not I think +7 would probably be best.
By RAW it doesn't appear alchemists can use a pearl of power due to it being made for spellcasters that prepare spells. Alchemists technically are not casters, they just have a supernatural ability to infuse extracts via their formula book.
You wanted +7 I believe for your bow, which will cost 800gp. That is already pushing the limits and the bowyer has to finagle some extra cams to make it that strong with what he has on hand. Adaptive is a magical property that you would have to purchase. For that you would have to discuss with the enchantress, Jopple's wizardly teacher.
I glossed over the selling of your treasure, but suffice to say it should be no problem to liquidate all of it. I will post in the discussion what I have that you have acquired so far. You will get posted values for gems etc. All weapons/armor etc will net you 50% of book price, same for any magical items you sell.

Kiki Bitterdew |

Kiki smiles at Jopple "I am not tiny you are all just too big"

Jopple |

The group obtains the fine leather and silks to make their magical items, and then purchases from some alchemical shops the magical reagents needed to complete the rest of the enchantments on the items. The alchemists are quite pleased with the amount of money the group has spent, and you purchase quite a bit of their inventory.
Jopple looks to the group, and she seems quite exhausted from hobbling around all day. "I hope I was able to help. I need to probably get going and start some of my studies today, or I will be a terrible wizard."
"Good luck out there. Don't get hurt."

Goliath, War Scion of Ragathiel |

"Thank you Jopple. We will do our best."
Goliath looks to his companions finally ready to move out.
"Let us go my friends we have wasted much time."

Quassine Alator |

Quassine bows to Jopple and a kind face, "Thank you kindly Jopple for your time, your sacrafice, and well wishes. We will see you in a few days."
How much did all of these supplies cost including Alchenical?
Quassine looks at Goliath, "Brother, I agree we must go but disagree on waste of time. You know Xanya and I don't waste time."
Quassine packs up any supplies he needs to carry, the rest goes to Goliath to carry.

Xanya Zellor |

Check out the sheet I linked in the discussion thread Quassine.
Xanya bows to Goliath with a sad look on her face. "I'm sorry that it took so long. I had not expected that. I wish we could be faster. Hopefully traveling into the night will make up the lost time."
@CT: Did we get the mundane gear like the bows and wakizakis now, or do we have to wait with that until we come back?

Kiki Bitterdew |

"Thank you Jopple, you have been a great help to us "
"travelling by night shouldn't be more difficult for us than at day, if the dwarfs let us leave before sunrise "

CaveToad |

Day 13 - later afternoon/early evening
The group finishes their accumulation of supplies and orders for equipment, mundane and magical. The better part of the day was spent dealing with merchants and selling your goods as well as putting in your orders. You bid farewell to Jopple and cognizant of the previous evening's curfew vow to get outside the gates before night falls and you are prevented from leaving.
The group heads towards the docks and waits while a larger skiff is set for Goliath's size. Boarding, the group is excited to be once again outside of the town.
While not exactly routine, the group pay little heed to all the security measures that have to be bypassed and finally are once again put ashore at the docks beyond the massive towers that guard the opening to the lake.
Once again on shore, the group forges ahead to the westerly direction this time, with the idea of eventually moving north to tackle a raiding group that is still coming.
You know that somewhere out there in this direction is another of group of your brothers and sisters on this side of the central range.
Fairly tired, partly from lack of sleep and partly from having to deal with shopkeepers all day long, the chance to stretch and grab some fresh air and a little peace and quiet is welcome. Away from the bustle of town and the constant construction and industry preparing for the attack takes it toll on the mind.
For a while you follow the river from the hills that you entered this world on, but quickly you continue west into the drier wooded hills, ravine and cliffs are common here and you make your way slowly but efficiently.
Darkness comes slowly and late, being as it is close to the solstice. The group paused briefly for a rest and a snack, realizing they have scarcely eaten all day due to the frantic schedule of visiting so many shops.
Sitting on the log of a fallen tree, the group discusses the idea of pushing on into the night to make up lost time.

Xanya Zellor |

You've removed Simon from the number of people who have to eat, but not from the calculated total amount. I for some reason thought we were heading east, but I could be remembering wrong.
"Ah, it feels good to be free of the comfines of the city once more and be back on the road! Our journey beckons me on. I yearn to travel further and to explore this time and place." She smiles despite being kind of tired from the long day and night before it, her great constitution makes her able to endure it though. "I say we continue a bit into the night to make up for lost time. We can see in the dark anyway."

Goliath, War Scion of Ragathiel |

"I only wish to save these dwarves as the Thane should make a powerful ally in search of Goodwin. I am prepared to travel on if need be. I can remove my fatigue, but I have only prepared to do so from myself. I know we give the enemy more time to move but it may be best to rest and have our strength for we may encounter our enemy any time."

CaveToad |

Updated the food to include day 13 and fixed the numbers. You are getting low on food, so may want to consider some hunting/foraging, which does slow travel, unless you brought rations etc.
The group discusses their options, with Xanya and Goliath willing to push into the night. Somewhere an owl hoots, waking and preparing for its evening hunt. Crickets chirp, and a light wind blows.
The summer solstice is perhaps a week away, and Xanya was able to procure a tiny amount of stardust in town, so small it is barely a pinch between her small fingers, but enough to satisfy the Ritual of Stardust for Desna. She was able to haggle for some from a fellow Desnian worshipper in town.

Goliath, War Scion of Ragathiel |

We asked for provisions from the dwarves and they said it would be provided. Did you add anything to the food?

Goliath, War Scion of Ragathiel |

"With our food stocks not being as full as my belly would like, let us rest for the night. We will forage as we move tomorrow. This will slow us but we will be not fighting on an empty belly at least. As long as we encounter the scouting party a day or so out we have done our part at keeping them away from the city. Rest now brothers and sisters."
CT foraging provides food and water for you in the wild while only moving at half speed. This basically will keep us from using more food stock as long as we can cover everyone. My question is since we don't need water can we get a better food ratio? Like if we spend a day foraging we can get enough food for the next day too if our checks are good enough?
Survival for Foraging: Taking 10 Goliath has an 18 that is enough food for himself and 4 others. The chart doesn't take into account a large creature so say himself and 2 or 3 others. While traveling the next day.

Kiki Bitterdew |

"freedom, being on the hunt, live is good "
concerning the bit about allys
Kiki looks thoughtfully at Goliath "you are right, we can never have enough of those, if we want to find him in a mortal lifetime "

CaveToad |

Yes it lets you move at half speed, which is fine, but just so you know you don't cover as much ground, but it will help draw out your supplies. Finding water in the area you are in is fairly trivial so it doesn't shave that much time off the food finding part, which is probably the most time consuming.

Xanya Zellor |

"We got over a weeks worth of food. I don't think we should forage yet. We might be back before we run out, or we might find that the invaders have brought rations along on the way. Then we could just get more food when we came back to the city. Damn all these problems with food. We have to pay closer attention to that in the future."
What speed are we moving at? Is Kiki riding with Xanya? Because if she is scouting ahead anyway then all the 40 speed people (Cryxial, Quassine, Goliath) can just use survival and we'll still move at full speed.

Kiki Bitterdew |

riding for the first day, then scouting, unless you think we will encounter enemy's with this time

Goliath, War Scion of Ragathiel |

"A week is a good supply of food, but if we get caught somewhere were we have to survive it could go quick. We are out now and away from the city a bit. It would be best to make sure our food is extended while we are healthy enough to do so don't you think? If we travel as far as the other mission we will be three or four days out and it will take the same on the return. What if I fall to the enemy. Can any one else create water? We shouldn't argue on such trivial things as our survival. We wasted time in the city for our own selfish needs and gains."
In game this takes no time, its something that CT has to track it may change how or when we meet our enemies but I don't know why we are really discussing something that takes no real time when we wasted a month already doing nothing.

Xanya Zellor |

That's probably why we glossed over it while in the city. Let's just move on...
Fine, fair enough."

CaveToad |

The group pushes on into the night. Walking in the cool brisk air is refreshing, and sometimes the wind whistles through a canyon or valley the group is in. You push harder into the night and eventually grow weary and everyone is yawning. You have made solid time but eventually you need some sleep and whether you travel now or the next day doesn't change much.
You find a solid camp site in a narrow canyon. It is sheltered from the elements, which consists mostly of cool wind, since it is close to high summer. Your fire is obscured as no one not in the canyon can see you from afar. The only danger is being boxed in, but you think you will be ok.
Day 14 - Late Morning / Afternoon
The group sleeps later although some many get up periodically do perform their daily rituals only to return to rest. You slept in somewhat late, but feel much more refreshed and ready to go. You make your way west and slightly north heading towards a river you know will be a couple of days out. You suspect that somewhere out here fairly close is a raiding party. Based on the time, they must be getting closer to the fort. You Press on wary and vigilant and looking for clues. Having the raiders bypass you or missing them would be bad.
Due to your late start, you take a later lunch, putting some distance behind you through the rugged wooded hills, canyons and valleys. By early afternoon you stop and refresh yourselves, taking a large midday meal. Under cover of your darkness, you settle in a shady area, as the trees thin out soon and you head to the open rolling hills and plains to the northwest.
You get the uneasy feeling of being watched, not from afar from locally. Something seems to be in the trees. You hear furtive noises and look about for what you would assume to be a squirrel, chipmunk or some other typical woodland animal, but see nothing. The quick furtive movements continue...

Goliath, War Scion of Ragathiel |

"Kiki do you hear that? You know of nature, are we to be worried?"
Goliath's hand moves to his blade hilt regardless as he finishes his cup of water. He places the cup on the ground beside him and looks about cautious.
Perception: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (19) + 11 = 30

CaveToad |

Goliath seems to sense many small creatures at the fringe of brush. While seeing nothing he can nonetheless hear an occasional movement, or see the results as a leaf wavers slightly
Kiki Perception: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (5) + 9 = 14
Kiki sees nothing either, and does hear some things but nothing to help.
Her eyes narrow, "Perhaps we are dealing with fey folk here." she whispers with a hiss.

Goliath, War Scion of Ragathiel |

"Perhaps you should speak with them then. We would not want to be on their bad side or the target of their hi-jinks while in their woods. They could prove to have information for us even."
Goliath removes his hand from the hilt of his blade picking back up the piece of dried meat jerky, ripping a piece off with his teeth still looking on cautiously.

Kiki Bitterdew |

Kiki nods, moves forward and bows slightly.
if there is no reaction Kiki will repeat the Message first in Aklo, then in Spiderling, then in modern Common, Old Common, Druidic, Dragonic and (probably rather bad) goatling
P.S. my knowledge of Pathfinder Fey culture is rather limmited

Xanya Zellor |

What language does it speak?

Quassine Alator |

Various Times On The Road
As the party travels while keeping his head on a swivel, Quassine takes in the beauty as another way to recenter his chi. With Father's disappearance and everything else, it has been difficult just to recenter through meditation. Quassine listens intently to Goliath and Xanya talk and then turns his head to roll his eyes when he hears his brother state, "We wasted time in the city for our own selfish needs and gains." And was about to rebuttal but decides to let it go and partially tune out to nature again while keeping alert. As the group comes upon the fey, Quassine nods in agreement, "Yes Kiki, please talk to the fairy-folk! We do not need any type of jinxes during combat with our enemies or even on the road. Perhaps, we can get them on our side as an ally?"
Quassine listens to the language to see if he can assist in speaking to them. Linguistics: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (15) + 11 = 26
CT, when can Quassine start working on the Items? After tonight's rest?

Quassine Alator |

Sent you an IM

Xanya Zellor |

Xanya shakes her head in frustration. "Bah, another language to learn. Please do translate for us Kiki. I'll leave matters of dealing with the fey to you, though if there is anything I can do to help, please do say so. Though maybe you can get him or her to show herself so Simon could cast Share Language so we could all speak together?" She then tries to smile friendly to the bush.

Goliath, War Scion of Ragathiel |

I know Kiki doesn't post as often as the rest of us so looks like we wait

Kiki Bitterdew |

Kiki looks at Xanya "they don't seem to be of the nasty kind. I will translate unless tey start to throw more stuff. It will take some time till they show themselfs, if they do at all"
"I was in a world outside this world, with time outside this time. Countless summers have pased till I was in this world"
Doesn't Simon also Speak Sylvan?

CaveToad |

There is a reply, but the translation again is difficult, "Why you here? Why blue lady? Why big man? Why purple thing? Why <something else you couldn't translate>"
Goliath feels something rustling in his pocket. He puts his hand in and comes out with a mouse, which quickly scampers from his huge hand and runs up his arm in a panic. Xanya feels something near her, and something pinches her butt. Simon is plinked by an acorn and Quassine feels a rain of pine needles cascade down over his head.
Most annoying....
"Why you in our forest?"

Goliath, War Scion of Ragathiel |

Goliath places his other hand in front of the mouse and lifts it to his face as it runs over it.
"It's alright little fellow. Goliath friend."

Kiki Bitterdew |

Xanya Zellor |

Xanya laughs out loud at the antics of the creatures and with a bright smile she says. "Ah, they want to play!" Suddenly all sorts of noices can be heard around the forest, instruments playing, animal noises, a waterfall or a whispering wind. It seems to constantly be changing around in a crazy harmony of sound. "Tell them that we are friendly. If they need something we could help with, we could do that if it doesn't take much time. Or maybe they can help us out with the giants?"
Using the Ghost Sound SLA
Linguistics to pick up a bit of sylvan: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (7) + 12 = 19

Kiki Bitterdew |

CaveToad |

"Best warriors fight!"
With that a small pixie looking fellow emerges from the underbrush and draws his tiny sword in challenge. He has a look of grim determination on his face.
"If you win. We help. We fight giants."
The small fellow draws his sword and points it at Goliath, assuming perhaps due to his size he is the group's warrior and thus the one to challenge.
The group stops being menaced by acorns and the like, and there is some oohs and clapping as Xanya's ghost sound echoes through the forest.
The voices soften to a whisper and all but disappear as the fey champion steps from the brush to challenge Goliath who still is somewhat occupied by the tiny mouse scampering about his shoulders, now having paused, watching the scene unfold inquisitively.

Goliath, War Scion of Ragathiel |

Goliath eyes the tiny fey as it steps out pointing his sword.
"Kiki, why does this tiny creature seem to want to fight?"
He places the mouse on the ground and stands raising his hands.
In New Common: "I think there is a misunderstanding here."
I assume I didn't understand the best warriors fight talk just more gibberish to me

Quassine Alator |

Quassine smiles as he feels the pine needles drop down on his head, then nonchalantly wipes them off and picks out the needles that dropped down his Monk Gi causing him to itch. Quassine looks at the challenger, then Goliath, and then Kiki, "Kiki, ask them why do we have to fight them to prove ourselves worthy to be an ally? And either this Faerie Champion is one good fighter or like most fairy shenanigans, the challenger's champion has yet to be revealed." Quassine looks to Goliath, "So brother, if you are bested by a diminutive challenger, are you humble enough to accept defeat?" Quassine smiles.

Goliath, War Scion of Ragathiel |

"Fight? What do you mean fight?. You can understand them as well Quassine? Do you think me naive enough to believe I'm the best warrior around. Humility is one of the highest of knightly virtue. I have been bested before and I'm sure I will be again. Now someone please tell me what is going on here."
