if you make save
Kraull moves in and lands a serious blow to the rival fighter. The man stands tall, it appears he has extensive training in pushed by his body beyond the normal limits. Kraull tried to overpower the man and drag him to the ground, but he resists Kraull’s awesome power.
Rubin Slade |
Rubin mocks Ricardo: Haha, that's all you've got? I was expecting a fireball at least!
Looks like you're well-matched, Kraull, but you'll wear him out pretty quick I bet. That archer could be an annoyance. I'll see what I can do.
Rubin slips through the gate and casts Hold Person on the archer (DC 15, my last 2nd level spell for today).
Kraull: Don't forget +2 from Heroism also.

The archer’s will is weak, as Rubin’s magic stiffens his joints and limbs. The man tries to resist the spell, but again he doesn’t manage to wriggle free.
The cleric heals the barbarian who is trying to go blow for blow with Kraull. He than steps back away from the melee.
Heal barb: 2d8 + 3 ⇒ (6, 5) + 3 = 14

PA, raging: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (2) + 9 = 111d12 + 10 ⇒ (2) + 10 = 12
Rubin Slade |
Holy Desna! Did that actually work? So that's what it feels like to be a real spell-caster! Rubin does a short jig to celebrate his successful casting. Let's try another. He casts Grease on the barbarian's weapon (DC 14). Two can cast that spell, eh Ricardo?

Kraull |
Since Ricardo comes after me in initiative, I'm going to assume I need to make the save after I get my actions.
Kraull shifts up 5 feet and goes to town on the barbarian again. "I bet it makes you even angrier that you keep missing like a chump!"

Chef Bolognese |
Chef mutters to Rubin. This is my last extract, then I'll have to go melee unless you have a better idea Chef downs an extract and then horks up a bag of pheglm at the barbarian
Adhesive Spittle
Once during this spell’s duration, you can spit a viscous liquid as a standard action. This liquid functions as a tanglefoot bag, except you do not have to make a successful attack roll to hit your target. The DCs to counteract this adhesive (to avoid being stuck to the floor, to fly, to break the adhesive, or to cast a spell) use the spell’s DC rather than a tanglefoot bag’s normal DCs. The adhesive persists for 2d4 rounds after you spit it. DC 13

Rubin Slade |
Not for the first time, I'm sure glad Kraull's fighting with us and not against us. Well done, Kraull Rubin salutes Kraull grimly, his demeanor becoming more serious as he feels his conscience starting to nag once again. He raises his crossbow and takes aim at the cleric.

Kraull will DC 16 with a -2, Chef a 16 will as well or be FRIGHTENED

Rubin Slade |
Gimme a hand Kraull, and we'll have this wrapped up in no time. Just a little boost is all I need.
Rubin gets a running start towards Kraull, scrambles onto his oversize back, up to his shoulders, and with a little extra boost from Kraull (hopefully), swings over the railing onto the terrace above.
Acrobatics: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (3) + 7 = 10
I have no idea what that DC would be. Rules say DC is 4x the vertical jump in feet. Hopefully Kraull helping me up will provide a bonus.

Rubin Slade |
Will: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (10) + 10 = 20
Rubin flails his limbs as he hits the wall and slides to the bottom. He momentarily imagines that Kraull sabotaged him on purpose and prepares to take revenge, then thinks better of it, recognizing the signs of magical manipulation on his mind.

invisibility potion, 51-100 hits him
Rubin Slade |
Oh no, after all that he's going to vanish and get away. Do I start slashing at thin air, or try to heal myself? His magic hurt me pretty bad. After vacillating for a moment, Rubin pulls out his magical wand and taps himself on his head.
CLW: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 1 = 6
