The small hamster in Kraull's head starts running real fast as he attempts to figure out what to do. Rubin's coded message is somewhat clear, however, turn against Sampson but try to keep him alive.

"Okay boss." Kraull says as he draws his falchion and begins to move aggressively towards Kain and his army.

I'm going to wait to make sure Rubin is gone and Chef isn't going to be cut down first before switching sides.

Rubin, Chef, Jason and Miles head out the side entrance and start to weave through back alleyways in hopes to reach Lily and warn her of the attack. You think your about 1/4 of the way there when all but Mikes stops. There is some heavy breathing by all, but he looks on

Sampson watches as Kraull moves forward, falchion at the ready. He draws his own blades of choice, dual serrated daggers. They look exotic, and special looking. He gets ready for a brawl over "his" city.

What's taking so long big guy?!, he question why Kraull is taking his sweet ass time.

The big red half-org readies his great club and the other two thugs ready their saps.

The blonde guy gives a chuckle, as he charges past Kraull and takes a swing at the big red guy, but not before the big red guy takes a swing of his own as he was ready for such an attack. The orc's club misses the blonde's hero's head by inches, as he ducks under the giant club, he slashes the orc in the leg. Blood flows as the first gash of the battle has been made.

Rubin makes a quick prayer in hopes that Kraull can handle the situation, as he sprints off with the others down the narrow alleyways. Glancing at each other, they slow down to catch their breath.

Back at where Kraull is, the fight continues onwards. Sampson' thugs converge on Kraull and both attacks him with saps. The first sap misses, but it provides enough of a distraction to allow his buddy to smack Kraull hard in the leg. His hamstring cramps up a bit, as the man tries to look menacing, but he looks more constipated than anything else.

Rubin meets back up with Chef and Jason. As they jog onward to their impending fate, he thinks out loud.

The best outcome would be to take Lily alive and present her to the authorities (not the Authority) along with Sampson for a wholesome dose of justice. I haven't got a good read on Lily's skills, but she seems like the magic-using type. If we can't overpower her physically maybe we can convince her that the jig is up. Of course there's always the possibility she will just fry all three of us immediately. What do you think?

Rubin and Chef head towards Lily's shop, about 6 or so blocks away from where they are. They hope they can subdue her before she gets wind of the attack.

Kraull nearly cuts the red orcs arm off, but it is quite resilient. The orc lets out a roar, refusing to give in to his standing cousin.

Sampson moves forward, and seems to have a spring in his step. He somehow manages to get behind Kraull as Kraull blinks. Sampson and his muscle each take a swing at the hulking brute. Sampson takes a hack with his longsword, and cuts Kraull in the torso. His muscle continues to flail around on the ground.

The two sap wielding thugs continue to pound on Kraull seeing that his blade is the biggest threat in the fight. The first sap misses, which leaves an opening for the security be sap to hit into Kraull's other meaty thigh. It starts to bruise and swell up.

The blonde and his crew switch targets from the baffling prone fool to Sampson. The crew of his move around the battlefield to find a way to reach one half of the leadership duo that has a stranglehold on the city and its people. Only one his his crew manage to break through Sampson's guard and draw blood.

A muted shriek of mortal anguish pierces the night air. Well, that's way too high-pitched to be Kraull. Things must be going his way.

I think I have a plan. I'll make it sound like a vengeful mob is approaching, and convince her she needs to give herself up into our protection. Something along those lines. Be ready with those extracts in case she doesn't buy it.

Rubin continues running until they either get to Lily's shop or run into some other unexpected encounter.

Kraull cuts the red orcs head off...literally. He was defiant and tough until the very end. He had a gruesome demise befitting my of a warrior. His clan would have been proud. The blade than keeps going after the clean decapitation and slices the nearest sap wielding thug in the groin. Blood spurts out of the wounds, and the shock is too much as the man falls to the ground, convulsing in pain. The threats appear to be well in hand after Kraull's display of anger and aggression.

The lone sap thug, and Sampson work as a team to continuing to attack Kraull. His blade being very deadly and menacing. Both swings miss as the violence that happened moments ago rattled them.

Chef and Rubin continue hustling. They start to huff and puff as they run up a slight incline. Meanwhile Kraull's attempt to subdue Sampson, his blade misses Sampson's ahead by himself inches.

Almost unconscious, Kraull moves back to the bladed edge of his falchion and attacks Sampson again.

Chef and Rubin can see Lily's fine clothes shop 90 feet ahead while Kraull ends Sampson as a threat. He slumps to the ground, blood spurts from a severe leg wound caused by Kraull's blade.

If the sapper is still a threat, Kraull continues to do battle. Otherwise, he attempts to stabilize Sampson and/or get Kain's people to do it.

Ready. When we get inside, you explain the situation to Lily so I can cast my illusion without her noticing. It will only last a few seconds, but I can cast it again if I get a chance. Once I have the spell cast hopefully I can convince her to give herself up.

Once they get to Lily's door, if it's unlocked, Rubin opens it and walks on in. Otherwise, he bangs on the door frantically and waits for Lily to open it. Once they are inside and Chef is engaging Lily, Rubin stands behind Chef and casts Ghost Sound to mimic an approaching mob.

Chef runs into the shop when Lilly lets them in, all sweaty. Um! Big trouble! Seems that goody goody who was causing trouble got himself a big mob to go after you and Sampson. Sheet, I think they are coming! Um...How about we pretend we're watchmen taking you to jail so the mob doesn't tear us all up?

The lone sap user tries to flee, but is quickly subdued by Kain’s men. Kain and his crew, start to tend to Sampson and his small group. Kain looks around, and makes a valid question,

Kraull sees that Chef and Rubin have yet to return, and he wonders how they are doing with Lily.

Kraull it will take you 5 full rounds of running to reach Lily’s shop. The healers Kain has can patch you up in two rounds if you wish to stay and receive healing, meaning R/C will be “solo” for 7 rounds

Chef and Rubin devise a game plan with their contact just goes along with whatever they decide. He was sent as some extra muscle, not to be a general. The door is unlocked, and inside the fancy store is the same nice dressed woman, standing behind the counter.

How may I... her sentence stops mid way as she sees its you two. I suppose you are wanting Miss Lily? I will let her know she has visitors

Chef starts to frantically talk, trying to confuse Lily as much as possible while Rubin casts a spell, hoping to fool her.

Once during this spell’s duration, you can spit a viscous liquid as a standard action. This liquid functions as a tanglefoot bag, except you do not have to make a successful attack roll to hit your target. The DCs to counteract this adhesive (to avoid being stuck to the floor, to fly, to break the adhesive, or to cast a spell) use the spell’s DC rather than a tanglefoot bag’s normal DCs. Chef holds to see if the sleep spell works


Lily, stuck in the goo of Chef’s spittle, curses as she fails to break free. She once again loses her spell. She groans, but not long as Rubin’s spell quickly knocks her out cold. She is sleeping peacefully. Staci turns around and runs out the door. Clearly she wasn’t getting paid enough by Lily to stick around.

Thirty seconds later Kraull shows up. Looking sad he missed the fight.

Glad to see you're still alive, old friend. How is Sampson doing? Does anyone have any rope? As far as what to do now...I don't really trust the law around here. I say we bundle the two off to Jasper, to face impartial justice there. Then again, we may never make it there alive. Maybe whats-his-face has some ideas. Y'know, that blonde fella.
