Shrugging Katerina steps towards the portcullis. "Can anyone see any kind of lever?" She searches the walls for any thing that could be used to lift the portcullis. She even looks to see if she could just wriggle between the bars.
Looking for traps and other baddies!

Oops, I screwed up. The door isn't open yet...
Katerina doesn't see a level but she does realize at the last moment the door is in fact trapped! On the ceiling are arranged 16 very cleverly hidden circular doors, each just under 5 feet in diameter. She thinks if the door is opened, the circles will open -- though she's not sure what's on the far side of them.
| Katerina the Maid |
"Uh, gentlemen, it looks like we have an issue here." Katerina steps away from the secret door. She points up to the smaller doors hidden in the ceiling. "I am guessing, but I think if we open this door, those doors open and let something unpleasant at us. Maybe a flood, maybe more zombies?"
I wasn't sure if we had found the cut-off-your-escape portcullis or not...

While Coterie doesn't stop Katerina from her action, she does take this moment to mix together a few items into her iron vials, fitting them into the bandolier on her torso. Once she checked to make sure they were clear, that her weapons were clear, and that she felt she couldn't craft anything else in this moment, she drew a single Rapier and nodded to Katerina. Fully expecting something other than water to flood in from the ceiling.
| Prazil |
Ok, yeah, so we don't have a trapspringer then. Gah! Well, I mean, no trapspringers that can keep the trap from springing on us, at least. =P
Prazil scratches his head at Katerina's reluctance and the slow manner in which she approaches the door. "What am trouble? It am door, yes? Am you not knowing how to be for opening it?"

As Katerina opens the door she just has time to see a portcullis that she had absolutely no way of even suspecting might have been on the far side slam down, along with one behind you that similarly came as a complete, utter and total surprise. Seriously, you guys can't believe their were portcullis' even considered in this complex, much less in this room...
Worse, the circles Katerina noticed in the ceiling open and a rush of water comes slamming into the room, which begins to quickly fill at a rate of 1 ft./round. You hear a further grate of stone against stone and see two more of the dread zombies emerge from alcoves back near the entrance to this room.

Coterie felt the thump of heavy iron hitting the floor in her chest, hearing the ceiling grind open to let in a torrent of rushing water. 'Was afraid of that.' she thought to herself, glad she was prepared. She pasted an iron vial to Prazil, saying, "Drink it, quick!" before heading into combat with Kateria, chugging another vial and shoving the container back into her bandolier, stopping beside Katerina as her buckler seems to shimmer and ripple with some invisible force.

I count 12 squares between Prazil and the cyclopean zombie at the top of the map, so Prazil should be able to get a charge in provided the flooding waters aren't making it difficult terrain. He'd end his movement in the square immediately above Kat.
If Prazil can charge, he does so (and provokes an AoO)! If he can't, then disregard the attack and he'll just double move as he scrambles to get as close as possible.

Not used to dealing with such massive opponents Katerina finds herself driven to her knee, her free hand in elbow deep water. She has a flash of desperation - but just a flash.
