I was just wondering about the languages of Rokugan, since I have 7 bonus ones and was wondering which ones to pick. What are the available choices?

An excellent question. I'll give a link here and a link in the campaign info for languages known. All languages.
Kami, Written Language, Common Rokugan, and High Rokugan. There's Nezumi, Oni, Mekkem, Moto, Mujina, Senpet, Ogre, Ningyo, Rushmal, Troll, Zokujin, Jackal Code. Jackal Code is probably a secret language, like Druidic. Common and High Rokugan are going to be your friend. Written Language is...optional.

Hey there guys!
Firstly, I am excited to be playing with all of you and thank your Hora for letting me join your game. I apologize if my posting has been erratic, work and the holiday season are hectic.
I hope you all don't mind me asking questions about the setting and such, I'm basically a gigantic newb when it comes to Legend of the Five Rings and know only the smallest details about it. You all seem to know much more than I, so I'm hoping to learn by the reading I do and through the roleplay.
I say that because I realize that we have samurai, courtiers here, even commoners, and I realize that I never really decided what Yoshi was. He is of the Crab Clan but I don't think that automatically makes him a samurai? I've had him as a scout/stealthy warrior, so am I another courtier type? I figured I'll have him traveling just in traveler's clothing, since I'm trying to be all sneaky and wearing the Crab's colors (especially when not specifically sanctioned, it seems, to be there) would be troublesome.
Anyways, I hope I don't annoy any of you guys if I question around and poke for information. Feel free to link me good info sources too, I'd appreciate it. :D

You're very welcome. Forum boards are more forgiving on timely information; you're just fine.
I love questions, really, I do. Because like my predecessor before my, the almighty shrimp, I didn't read the entirety of the setting. So your questions can become my questions.
To put it simply, peasants aren't allowed to have weapons. All samurai are courtiers, but not all courtiers are samurai. If you are part of a militant might, you are a samurai, even when you're Phoenix and people laugh at your pacifism.
Crab clan does move from the wall. They have to attend Winter Courts, trade, and do all that stuff just like the other clans do. They're just less frequently seen on the roads is all. Thankfully, one lone Crab travelling isn't going to raise too many questions. Now, a legion of Crab samurai travelling is definitely going to raise questions. It's your choice, however, how you approach the matter at hand. All samurai are samurai, and allowed to be where they want, just not in army size.
However, the Scorpion clan does send its members as secretive envoys. That may seem less honorable than brightly displaying your clan's colors, but they are willing to do that. Crab clan are more brash and will do what needs to be done, while wearing their colors without much of a care.
From the Wiki: "The Crab value this duty above everything, even honor. They might be gruff, unkempt and downright rude at times, but no one questions their strength or courage."

That link was super helpful and had some valuable information Hora, helped me get a better mindset of the Crab clan and the Himura Family. From what it seems like, I may edit Yoshi's training to being groomed to be selected as a Stalker, which is hilariously named since that is my class. They seemed trained to be assassins of Shadowlands creatures but have been used to target humans before. It talks about them here.
It helps that the family motto is pretty badass too...
"A single fire against the darkness always burns brighter."
I may also spend a little of my extra money on another thing of clothing. I can see Yoshi having his Courtier Outfit for formal occasions, a traveling outfit with his Mons and colors easily displayed, and a more incognito outfit for when he is trying to be extra sneaky or infiltrate a known enemy establishment.
Edit: I also picked up my languages; Common Rokugani, High Rokugani, and Nezumi. Makes sense for him, seeing as he is a scout and the Hiruma family has a long alliance with the Nezumi tribes.

@Crayfish Hora - Quick question! It wouldn't be too late for me to add the "Bushi" template to my character, would it? I'd gain profeciency with the katana and the wakazashi, lose my evasion, and gain the quick draw feats and associated ability. I just like later using killer's tools with those weapons for how neat it'd look. If not, no worries :)

Awesome, thank you!
I'll have him updated and have a proper statblock on the posts later today. I have a game to run tonight so I will be slow.

Hey there guys!
Just wanted you all to know my girlfriend is arriving this Monday and will be here for two weeks. My posting will likely be more infrequent so feel free to bot me if necessary.

I think it would make little sense for me to row while you fight, especially since we don't know where to go. That's why I thought we should follow them stealthily.
| Kakita Atsuko |
It seems we are not in the same page. GM may need to clarify. So to my knowledge we are out on the water in a small row boat pretending to fish. The Pirates are about to let loose arrows on us so we have the option of
A.Diving in the water and turning the boat over for cover and air by putting our heads up in as we kick our way back to land. We can do this and have your bird follow if you like.
B. Diving in and swiming to the boat. Could swim under water to avoid arrow fire. Not a good option for me as I don't have ranks and a str of 7. I will probably drown.
C. Going with my proposal and rowing toward their boat with the intention to board them. Someone has to Row, and you have the lowest AC, seemed like the best plan to let it be you and provide you with soft cover. Not sure what fighting you mean as we both will be going full defense and providing cover for you till we get there. It would be foolish to try and trade ranged attacks.

Sounds good! Sorry I've been quiet, girlfriend has been excellent company. I'll have Krab showing up soon.

I'll be posting up tonight after my girlfriend leaves. Thank you all for your patience. <3
