Poresh Nileesi Sukar |
Poresh calls out loudly, attempting to reason with the pugwampi again.
diplomacy: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (5) + 5 = 10
DM waz up? |
Three of the Pugwampi climb up onto the rafters, which look far too weak to hold someone bigger than a goblin for very long.
Two back off and shoot arrows at the Gnoll while the last says something in gnoll.
Ranged attack(Point blank): 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 1 = 6
Ranged attack(Point blank): 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (15) + 1 = 16
Both attacks deflect harmlessly off his armor.
A strange flash of energy shoots from the Pugwampi and Gnasher's weapon (whichever he's currently holding) vibrates wildly before shattering in his hands.(it is now broken)
Closest one is 5 ft(between), farthest is on the rafters about 15 ft away, gnasher. The ones firing bows took a five foot step away and shot at you from 5ft away, the one that shattered your weapon just did that and stayed where he was.
'Gnasher' Red Claw |
Gnasher hadn't drawn a weapon, he was going to rage and use natural attacks, it sounds like he needs to take a 5 ft step to attack the first one.
Moving closer to the first pugwampi Gnasher begins to rage, His paws grow into overly large claws, his eyes glow red, his fangs enlarge and he begins to froth at the mouth, his brown hide takes on a red-orange cast to it, emphasizing his Yaenit heritage. He growls "თქვენ უნდა გაიქეცით, როცა პორეს მოგცა შანსი." Then attacking the pugwampis with tooth and claw.
5 ft step. attack: bite and claws rage (AC 21)
bite: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (3) + 7 = 10 or bite: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (6) + 7 = 13 for damage: 1d6 + 6 ⇒ (1) + 6 = 7
claw: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (16) + 7 = 23 or bite: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (13) + 7 = 20 for damage: 1d6 + 6 ⇒ (2) + 6 = 8

'Gnasher' Red Claw |
I'm gonna rule than that its your Chakram that is shattered
The chanting Pugwampi is shredded by Gnasher's claws.
cool, one less chakram, thanks for the heads up.
Abdalrahman |
Assuming this is possible, otherwise retcon that he is just there to backup Gnasher for now
Abdalrahman steps up to the other pugwampi that didn't run, a wicked smile on his face, scimitar glinting. "და ახლა, დროა ცეკვავენ."
He lunges at the creature.
Swift action, Arcane Strike. Move to pugwampi. Standard to attack.
Scimitar: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (19) + 4 = 23
Confirm: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (12) + 4 = 16

was I able to get into the rafters riding the chandelier up?
-Posted with Wayfinder
Make an acrobatics Check(in the unluck aura.
Gurrr Blaktalon |
Gurrr tries to get up the ladder into the rafters so he can assist in dealing with the little pugwampi gits.
'Gnasher' Red Claw |
We have Abdalrahman, Gurr and Gnasher into the rafters. Kona (injured), Poresh and Yrdex on the ground. Also three pugwampi's down (counting the one that was on the chandelier). How many are left? Are they all in the rafters still? Are they near the three adventurers who went up the ladder?
Frothing at the mouth as he rages, Gnasher points at the remaining pugwampis. "სულელი უნდა მოკვდეს"
Yrdex |
Not sure where we're at with initiative.
Yrdex prefers his chances on the ground. He attempts to take another creature down with a sling bullet.
Attack: 1d20 + 5 + 1 ⇒ (12) + 5 + 1 = 18
Attack: 1d20 + 5 + 1 ⇒ (15) + 5 + 1 = 21

DM waz up? |
I believe with that attack it's back to me, sorry I think my responses messed it up a little
Another Pugwampi is hit with a bullet, but it doesn't kill it, instead the Pugwampi shreiks in terror and runs, the rest of the Pugwampi climb into the rafters and dash to an area that seems to be like a wasps nest made of old blankets and clothes.
As the last Pugwampi clambers inside the room becomes silent again. Combat over However, the aura of unluck still envelopes you all.
You have reached LvL 2
'Gnasher' Red Claw |
'so they wish to hide.' releasing the rage, Gnasher's appearance returns to normal, he nods toward the nest as he slowly begins to move toward it. "Do we offer pugwampis chance to leave or destroy pugwampis in tentnest?"
DM waz up? |
Gnasher, as you calm you now hear the sound of wood creaking, a sound that passed your observation during battle. It seems the wood here is rotting, and in some places might not be able to hold your weight.
Poresh noticed that the nest hangs from the rafters, but there seems to be a wood platform connected to the nest on the western side, just above the entrance to the chapel.
The sound of the Pugwampi arguing can be heard but it's rather muffled.
From below you can easily tell it's not in gnoll...
Abdalrahman |
Will level up tomorrow morning and post it in discussion.
"I don't want to be up here longer than necessary. For now, I think we should regroup and decide how best to act going forward." He turns and makes his way back to the ladder and climbs down.
Gurrr Blaktalon |
"Me small and light... Want Gurrr search and trash nest? Me can knock it all down!" He says this last with a gleeful tone.
'Gnasher' Red Claw |
does anyone want to try talking to them? I don't think leaving them behind us while we clear out the rest of the temple would be wise.
Yrdex |
I'll give it a try, Gnasher.
Yrdex mutters a prayer to Aspu under his breath and steps to the middle of the temple. He speaks to the Pugwampi in common.
"I think we've started off on the wrong foot here. Is this your home? Do you know what happened to the humans here?"
Casting Enhanced Diplomacy on myself then attempting a diplomacy check with the little gremlins.
Diplomacy: 1d20 + 7 + 2 ⇒ (16) + 7 + 2 = 25
DM waz up? |
There is no response, likely from a lack of communication due to language, or possibly because of fear from someone else.
Or perhaps Pugwampi are just innately evil, and can't be reasoned with.
In any case, it seems they are ignoring your attempts at diplomacy. Those of you that haven't climbed up feel the aura disappear, but it remains for those in the rafters.
Poresh Nileesi Sukar |
perception: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (1) + 8 = 9
I picked up Terran with my new level but I didn't hear them anyway.
Poresh attempts to climb to the platform above the door he spotted.
Using physical push, regain a phrenic point if the check is successful.
climb+physical push: 1d20 + 1 + 3 ⇒ (14) + 1 + 3 = 18
'Gnasher' Red Claw |
Gnasher continues moving toward the tent-nest, watching his footing carefully. calling out in gnollish. "თქვენ უნდა დატოვოთ ეს ტაძარი ან იღუპება. რომელი იქნება ეს?"

not sure if the intimidate needs two rolls or not, either way it's an eight. Crud I liked the 24 better ;)
intimidate: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (4) + 4 = 8
intimidate: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (20) + 4 = 24
do you want any kind of roll for moving across the rafters?
DM waz up? |
Rafters: 1d100 ⇒ 61
As Gnasher moves across the rafters he can hear the sound of cracking wood, and before he can react he finds himself falling to the ground as the rafters break. Falling Damage: 2d6 ⇒ (2, 4) = 6(first dice Non-lethal, Acrobatics to reduce it, remember the aura)
Poresh climbs the embroidery, and makes it to the platform, as he reaches up and feels the platform though, he hears the familiar sound of creaking wood. It seems the wood here is weak and might not hold you up... Infact it literally crumbles in your hand.
'Gnasher' Red Claw |
what's the acro. number?
acro.: 1d20 - 2 ⇒ (16) - 2 = 14
acro.: 1d20 - 2 ⇒ (17) - 2 = 15
"Ggggrrraaaarrrrrr" Gnasher lets out a snarl as the rafters give way beneath him and he falls landing on his backside. He gets up quickly, trying to not look embarrassed he asks. "Grrr set nest on Fire? Burn Pugwampi out?"
Gurrr Blaktalon |
Gurrr nods... "Yes, good plan!"
Gurrr tries to get to the nest to give it a quick search...
perception: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (20) + 4 = 24
He collects anything he finds that might be valuable. (He IS a goblin, so that might include bits of string and pretty rocks too)
Once that's done, he backs up and pulls out an alchemist fire. He tosses it into the nest.

Unfortunately for the goblin, he seems to step on a beam even less stable than Gnasher's, the whole beam falls, taking a portion of the roof with it.
Falling Damage(acro to reduce): 2d6 ⇒ (5, 5) = 10
Falling Debree: 1d10 ⇒ 6

'Gnasher' Red Claw |
Scrub brush and a light, patchy carpet of weeds invade the monastery through two huge fallen sections of the western wall. The exposed nave beyond is a huge hallway littered with bits of debris ranging from tiny rocks to enormous sections of collapsed masonry. Most of the roof above the long promenade is gone, but several jagged pillars remain.
It appears to be abandoned. There are three doors to the South, and the chapel is clearly visible to the east.it is about 50 ft away, and past the edges of the light. There are alcoves to either side of the chapel entrance, you can't see into them from here. One of the doors to the South opens to a hall, the closest is closed and the farthest is too far to see whether it's open or not... The building is strangely cool. At least it's a reprieve from the heat of the sun.
reflex: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (10) + 3 = 13
Gnasher jumps out of the way of the falling roof, dusting himself off. He looks up at the roof, attempting to ascertain what sort of shape the rest of the roof is in. He then lifts his muzzle in the air and sniffs a few times. "Gnasher smell pugwampi's gone,"
He points around the chapel, and then at the alcoves to the left and the right. "Shall tribe search here. Then search alcoves?" Gnasher begins looking around the chapel carefully, just to make sure it was safe.
if the group doesn't mind, Gnasher would take 20 (26) searching both the chapel and the alcoves, if that will take too long he will just take 10 (26) of course the more who are searching the faster it will go ;)
edit: hey DMWU? I know part of the roof over the chapel fell, how does the rest of the roof look over the sections with the pillars? If I remember right, were clearing this for a base of operations.
Gurrr Blaktalon |
"but where pugwawas go? Bad if theyz come back" gurrr says, dusting himself off after his fall.
DM waz up? |
As as you explore the chapel you come to the shrine, an untouched statue stands in front of it. The shrine itself however is covered in torn pages from a holy book, and it seems the Pugwampi where using it as a latrine.
@gnasher: as you explore the southern Alcove, you press against the space between the mural's legs and it shifts. It seems you've found a secret door.
'Gnasher' Red Claw |
Gnasher calls to the rest of the tribe, "There is trap door here. Does tribe explore here first, Or make sure rest of temple clear?" Gnasher takes a moment looking around the secret door, looking for signs of anyone having entered lately.
where was the shrine located at? Does the secret door look like it has been used in the near past?
'Gnasher' Red Claw |
Gnasher looks at Poresh, shrugging his shoulders in a very human motion, "Gnasher not know, shall we see?" Gnasher pushes open the hidden door and looks inside.
perception: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (16) + 6 = 22
we have only investigated about half of the first floor, there appear to be several rooms south of the pillared area on the map.

"ooh... see hidey place first!" Gurrr peers between Gnasher's legs to see what's beyond the secret door.
perc: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (11) + 4 = 15
