-4 hit for shooting into combat bringing to 20 still a hitting roll though :)

Male Human Invulnerable Rager HP: 50/50 AC18/12/16, F6/R3/W2, Perception: +6, Survival +6, Init:+2; CMD:18; CMB+6

That was Calain's last rage round. He is now fatigued. Next action, 5ft step to h21, to maintain reach and attack the last Gnoll

Last one, Urdaan!

Fatigued Sermonic Attack1d20 + 5 - 2 + 1 ⇒ (13) + 5 - 2 + 1 = 17Add another +2 if someone flanks with me

Damage1d12 + 6 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 6 + 1 = 10

Male Elf Ranger 1

Move Action: Five foot step to E21
Attack Action: (To Hit1d20 + 9 ⇒ (3) + 9 = 12 Flanking with Calain; Damage1d10 + 7 ⇒ (8) + 7 = 15; if Crit1d20 + 9 ⇒ (7) + 9 = 16 to confirm, 2d10 + 14 ⇒ (6, 2) + 14 = 22 additional damage.)

Male Human (Vudrani) Cleric (Evangelist) 1

Pashaj moves to D19, flanking with Calain, and makes another attack with his longspear. He maintains his performance through the round, but this is the last round of it for the day.

Attack - 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (8) + 6 = 14
If it hits, it deals 1d8 + 5 ⇒ (1) + 5 = 6 points of damage.

M Hobgoblin Druid 1

I will leave control of the scorpion to you since it beat me in initiative.

Havok double moves to I21.

Scop moves to join the fray but doesn't make it in time same for you Hvok as Zigs shot hits the still standing gnoll square in the neck ending his life and the battle.

Yay yous lived +600xp to all including Sam and +100 bonus for Zig and his awesomeness in getting Sheva to leave you would have all been killed by her easily. Anyway now you got two fogies to recover.

Yay thanks! I feel so special now :D Also I'm now dying to know what is in that scroll :)
Clutching his wound, Raulzig slowly staggered towards Samuel's lifeless body. Despite hot desert wind, there was water on his face. He put his ear to Samuel's chest.
I... I think I can hear heartbeat! Samuel, are you alive? You will make it, you can't go now! Pashaj, H'vok, can someone please heal him?

Sams at -9 but stabilized
Garavel is down too at -5 and stabilized

M Hobgoblin Druid 1

"I have no cure spells prepared today. If none of you can cast cure spells I can heal him tomorrow though if our cleric can not do so."

You could use the skill and then he will slowly regen.

Male Human (Vudrani) Cleric (Evangelist) 1

I think Pashaj just leveled. The reason I bring it up is caster level adds to cure spells. Would I apply my new level now, or after rest? Obviously I won't get any new spells yet, it's just a question of caster level.

I'll spend both cure light wounds now. One on Samuel, and one on Garavel. I'll roll 1d8+1, but if I can apply my level immediately, there will be an extra HP added to each.

Cure Light Wounds:

Samuel
1d8 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 1 = 6 points healed.

Garavel
1d8 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4 points healed.

Pashaj I am using medium level advancement you level at 2000 look at 30th pg of core rulebook for the details.

Sam -3
Gar -1

You can use the heal skill to stabilize him and cause him to unconscious regen.

Male Human Invulnerable Rager HP: 50/50 AC18/12/16, F6/R3/W2, Perception: +6, Survival +6, Init:+2; CMD:18; CMB+6

Damn, was about to run off and level...

Male Human (Vudrani) Cleric (Evangelist) 1

Ah, okay, my bad.

"They are stable. Perhaps we should find some shade, and see if we cannot revive them."

The grove around the temple is about an hour from here and probably the only shaded area for many miles except for the grove you were at last night.

It will take an hour of tending their wounds for them to become stable.

M Hobgoblin Druid 1

If I take 10 I will have a 17. If you prefer I can roll though.

Male Human (Vudrani) Cleric (Evangelist) 1

Sorry about the confusion over experience. I still have the 3.5 table in my head, it seems.

"We must make haste, to the shaded grove. Garavel was concerned about making a meeting, but he is in no state to meet. The root caked in dirt is not fit to eat, even if it is upon the plate."

So does this mean you are taking them to the grove then and aiding them until they heal or what.

Under the assumption that you bring them to safety and tend there wounds:
You bring there body's into the Caraven and Hvok and Pashaj watch over them and try to heal. You make it to the grove were supposedly the church is hidden within the next almost full hour. They slowly come to but are in very poor condition and can hardly speak Garavel who is slightly less injured manages to wear a smile and say. "You saved my bloody hide and I can never thank you enough.." He starts coughing mid sentence but continues. "We still have the scroll right..." he manages to sit up and turns to look at Samuel who starts to come too. "There should be a magic potion of healing on my camel please go get it for this poor boy he needs it more than I." He stands but has a hard time keeping his balance and walks out of the Caravan he looks to everyone and says. "I ow you all of you a lot you saved my hide and I can never thank you enough." He looks around his surroundings and examines the grove closly. "There are sure to be clerics and monks who can treat our wounds at the church, I am in no condition and cannot remember it's location someone please search the grove it is sure to be here." He says little more and mounts his camel he has not the strength to walk.

Male Human (Vudrani) Cleric (Evangelist) 1

I don't have a healer's kit, so I'll have a -2 penalty as I try to hit the DC 15.

Heal check:
Garavel - 1d20 + 0 ⇒ (7) + 0 = 7
Samuel - - 1d20 + 0 ⇒ (18) + 0 = 18

Pashaj nods and goes to Garavel's camel. I'm assuming it is easy to find the potion?

Male Human Invulnerable Rager HP: 50/50 AC18/12/16, F6/R3/W2, Perception: +6, Survival +6, Init:+2; CMD:18; CMB+6

Though I am loathe to say it, we should not split up to search the place, with those 2 wounded as they are. Garavel, stay in the caravan. It affords the wounded some protection if we get attacked again. Urdaan and I can move front and rear and let's keep this thing moving.

"I can't just sit here idly in the caravan, I keep concentrating on how much my wound hurts and it starts hurting even more. And I can't look at Samuel without thinking that it's my fault that he nearly died. I volunteer to go scouting."
Perception: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (10) + 5 = 15, or Take 20 if there is enough time.

Male Human Invulnerable Rager HP: 50/50 AC18/12/16, F6/R3/W2, Perception: +6, Survival +6, Init:+2; CMD:18; CMB+6

Not by yourself you're not. Walk point if you want a bow shot in front as the caravan moves. If we leave it here while we go look it splits the party, making us weaker and we'd only have to come back for it anyway. What's your opinion Urdaan? You and I are the most able fighters here and we've got a man damn near dead and Garavel walking wounded. If you must go scout, then either you or I should stay IF we stay and the other can babysit small fry. I would still rather keep this thing moving and search while we travel.

"I am fine Calain just a minor wound, but perhaps you are right let us keep moving and hope we don't get lost."

Perception checks everyone I am assuming Pashaj got and brought the potion to Sam and heals him by: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (6) + 1 = 7 so sam is now back at full health. Garavel and Zig are at 1.

Male Elf Ranger 1

"I must agree with Calain, Raulzig. As we don't know the current state of the church, it would be foolish to search for it in a further reduced group. We should move the carvan along with us, so upon discovery of the church we can immediately seek aid for Samuel, Garavel and yourself."

Perception 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (3) + 7 = 10+2 vs gnolls, just in case

Male Human Invulnerable Rager HP: 50/50 AC18/12/16, F6/R3/W2, Perception: +6, Survival +6, Init:+2; CMD:18; CMB+6

Perception1d20 + 4 ⇒ (16) + 4 = 20

Male Human (Vudrani) Cleric (Evangelist) 1

Perception - 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (17) + 2 = 19

male Elf Witch 5

Spike watches the party carefully as they tend to his chosen master. Samuel meanwhile is having nightmares reliving similar moments like this from his past.

M Hobgoblin Druid 1

"I will be casting cures tomorrow, but I don't have a lot. Until then we should try to stay out of trouble."

Male Human (Vudrani) Cleric (Evangelist) 1

"I will put my attention on healing as well, but perhaps we can find some aid in the church. Allow me to speak to them. I understand we share faith in Irori."

How far are we from the Church?

Male Elf Ranger 1

Backtracking to Scorpion conversation, pre-gnoll attack

Urdaan runs a few possibilities through his head before speaking again. "'A weapon has a purpose; a name gives focus and acknowledgment to this. When you give your blade a name, or hear that of another, you know its intent.' My first smithy teacher told me as much, and while I imagine your companion is more than simply a tool to you, the principle remains the same I guess. So perhaps a name that complements his battle tactics or specialties, or what the companionship means to you." Urdaan then blinks, and seems slightly embarrassed to have carried on so long. "Perhaps Ironsides, or a word for friend?"

You ride the Caravan through the large grove in search of the Hidden Church after many long minutes you spot it off in the distance. The Church is quite small or appears so from afar it strangely lies in the middle of this desert grove witch is strangely large with lush trees and grass. The Church looks ancient any color it ever had has long since faded and it looks more like an old abandoned chapel. Vines overrun the whole of the outside strangely this church has no graveyard or anything surrounding it the old doors look as if they have not been opened in ages. You advance toward the chapel and dismount your camels you tie the Caravan up to a nearby tree and anticipate your next move...

Raulzig wearily leans to a camel.
"So, this is it, then? Maybe it has once been a church, but I don't think there are any worshippers left... Remind me please, why did we go here in the first place? Weren't we supposed to help some monk here or something? It looks like we're the ones who're gonna need help."
Checking to see if my considerable knowledge allowed me to learn something about this building:
Perception:1d20 + 5 ⇒ (4) + 5 = 9
Know(Engineering)1d20 + 4 ⇒ (16) + 4 = 20
Know(History)1d20 + 9 ⇒ (16) + 9 = 25

Male Human (Vudrani) Cleric (Evangelist) 1

"Let us not stand long, plotting a course. We are travelers, but may appear an army." Pashaj gracefully dismounts his camel.

"The faithful of Irori live in solitude. Their hope is to disconnect themselves from the outside world, for it is that world which holds us back. For this reason, they may not admit us, but if they are true to Unbinding the Fetters, they will not refuse our request for aid." Pashaj walks towards the church and begins humming. As he comes to the steps of the church, his chant begins

"Irori,
Alone in the desert,
Thirsts for water,
His stomach rumbles,
And the hot sun stares,
Ever hard, upon his skin.
But there are no wells,
Not a single cactus for miles."

Perform (Oratory) - 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (14) + 7 = 21

Pashaj stops at the door and falls to his knees. He places his palms together. "Faithful of Irori, we are wounded and seek succor."

"Well I had to survive against him in a fight in order to achieve my goal. The gnoll had to do the same. He was not so lucky however. How does Crucible sound?"

Pashaj you pray and hum in front of the door suddenly the air grows chill a strange ting in the desert and a strong sudden gust of wind blows by opening the front door with a loud creek. You immediately look inside a long blue rugged and slightly ripped carpet goes down the long room leading up a short set of stairs to an old altar. Between the entrance and the altar stand dozens of wooden benches many overturned or broken. To archways in the middle of the large room lead to the two other rooms in the upstairs of the chapel from this angle you cannot see into them. From looking inside the place it would appear as if it has been abandoned for weeks.

Raulzig:
By the look of the stonework outside and vines overgrowing the Church you could assume that the Church has been around for 500 or more years. You recall hearing of this old Church once before though you do not remember much. Once a long time ago when it was first created it was a Church to Asmodeus the god of tyranny something happened (you do not know what.) that caused the evil here to flee since then few ever looked upon the Church until one day more recently a traveling monk of Irori came upon the Church repaired it and made it his own.

Pashaj:
You feel something is pulling at you from inside this Church but you know not what it could be.

Raulzig wrinkles his forehead. "Hmm I actually seem to recognize this church. It looks oddly like an illustration to Dr. Bibblewelt's "Magnificient Orient". I think this used to be a church of Asmodeus long ago, but then it was abandoned for some reason. It stood empty for a while before being converted as a temple to Irori. But looks like it's been desecrated again" - he adds after looking inside. We have to be careful - whoever wrought this havoc might still lurk here.

Male Human (Vudrani) Cleric (Evangelist) 1

Pashaj stays still in front of the open door. He breathes deeply and listens.

Perception check - 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (16) + 2 = 18

Male Human (Vudrani) Cleric (Evangelist) 1

Pashaj starts humming, audibly. "If there are those within that need aid, speak. Friends have come to you. If there are those within that have defiled a holy place of Irori, speak. You will be shown your error."

Diplomacy/Intimidate (depending) - 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (17) + 2 = 19

Male Elf Ranger 1

Urdaan scowls at the decrepit condition of the building's interior, and steps forward quietly to stand alongside Pashaj. "I believe Karina suggested the occupants of this...temple, as it were, would be hesitant about outsiders. Did she inform you of any sort of signal they might recognize?"

Perception: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (1) + 7 = 8

Male Human (Vudrani) Cleric (Evangelist) 1

"I know this place to be one of devotion to Irori." Pashaj answers. "I thought verse would stir those within. I fear I was mistaken. The girl, she did not mention any signal. I would go inside without pause but that we are wounded. What are your thoughts?"

M Hobgoblin Druid 1

"I say we get patched up, and then go inside or we can go inside on the way back."

If we have time I would suggest resting and then going inside, but I don't remember if we had a strict timeline or not.

Wounded Garavel dismount and walks over to the Church peering inside. "We have wasted enough time already Almah needs us as fast as we can." He pauses and looks saddened and finally says "We promised to help the girl out and so lets do just that...but mind you we are under strict deadlines." He opens open the door all the way and grimaces at the sight of overturned benches and damage done. "Karina said it had only been a few weeks correct?" He looks around the room some more. "By the looks of it no one has been here in months." He then walks inside several feet still holding a his wounded side.

What is everyone current hp as far as I know it looks something like this.

Calian 9/14 current max is 14 due to ability drain.
Hvok 5/11
Sam 6/6
Zig 1/9
Urdaan 8/12
Pahaj 9/12 did not recover overnight.
Garavel 1/26 current max 26 due too ability drain.

M Hobgoblin Druid 1

The scorpion is 8/12

Male Elf Ranger 1

"Garavel, wait." Urdaan follows him into the church's doorway, but holds there. "If we were at strength, I'd have little worry about investigating this site, even at the risks of delaying our arrival in Katapesh. But in our weakened state, we are in no position to offer aid, or risk such an unknown as the cause of the church's condition. If we must invesigate, shouldn't we wait a night and recover? The risks of being attacked currently are surely greater than risking our employer's ire over a missed deadline."

Male Human (Vudrani) Cleric (Evangelist) 1

Pashaj follows Garavel, looking around carefully.

Perception - 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (5) + 2 = 7

But apparently not that carefully...

"I...you are right we should not foolishly rush in like this all I hope is that Almah forgives us this once." He turns to the others. "We should set camp A ways from here if there is indeed something amiss in the Church we should not stay near it in our sleep. We have eight hours by then it will be nightfall and it will likely be dark within the Church so make sure you keep a torch handy."

Then if no one objects the party sets camp for eight hours they rest during day and go back to the church by night.

All heal 1xlvl hp 1 ability damage and can memorize spells normally.

It is late at night when you return to the Church inside the building you can see nothing without dark vision or a torch.

A long blue rugged and slightly ripped carpet goes down the long room leading up a short set of stairs to an old altar. Between the entrance and the altar stand dozens of wooden benches many overturned or broken. To archways in the middle of the large room lead to the two other rooms in the upstairs of the chapel from this angle you cannot see into them. From looking inside the place it would appear as if it has been abandoned for weeks. The place has a strange cold draft and is pitch black inside.

male Elf Witch 5

Samuel wakes up a bit tired, but otherwise unphased. Taking his bow in hand, he once again sticks to the center of the group.

Spells memorized have been changed to CLWx2.

Outside the church, Calain asks So...how we gonna do this? Sneaky like or shall I just walk in front and chop down any I see?

Con damage healed. 11 HP

Male Human (Vudrani) Cleric (Evangelist) 1

Immediately after his morning meditation, Pashaj walks over to Raulzig and lays a hand on the gnome's shoulder. "Irori protect you."

Cure Light Wounds - 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (6) + 1 = 7

He turns and walks to Garavael, placing his hand on his back and repeating the short blessing.

Cure Light Wounds - 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 1 = 6

Pashaj then moves to stand beside Calain. "The snake the slithers in shadow never walks in the light. We have announced ourselves already, as is appropriate. We must enter as guests and remain so unless we learn that we are unwelcome." The Vudrani man reaches out and casts Light on Calain's armor. "Proceed."
