Izrail goes for the nearest foe "Let's free them from this mortal coil, Ileosa. For the First! HE SHOWS THE WAY!" as he signals Ileosa to come with him
Using Guidance too
Fauchard: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (5) + 9 = 14

Alicia De'ville |

Alicia casts a quick spell, while drawing her dagger. She touches Jerax on the shoulder, and he feels focus.
cast guidance on jerax, giving him a +1 to hit on his next attack

Meridian Anterian |

With only three left, Meridian chooses not to expend on of her dwindling supply of crossbow bolts. Raising her mace, she steps in to attack the one that is trying to hurt Jerax.
Assuming flanking is possible.
Melee Attack: 1d20 + 1 + 2 ⇒ (18) + 1 + 2 = 21.
Damage: 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2.

Kirk Hetfield |

Kirk is also running low on ammo and is trying to flank the Vegie as well that is attacking Jerax.
Halfling Sling/Club: 1d20 + 4 + 2 ⇒ (6) + 4 + 2 = 12
damage: 1d4 ⇒ 1

Jerax Hellfire |

It happened in an instant. Jerax felt a light touch upon his shield shoulder, and the world around him came into incredible focus. Everything looked more distinct. At once, the tiefling was aware of everything around him. The vegepygmies attacking all around him. Insect buzzing around him and on the surrounding trees. His fellow hunting party members, fighting to help Jerax. This was a very weird feeling.
Wow! These people are actually fighting for my life! Fighting for me! This has never happened before! This is so strange!
Then a voice, deep within himself, but also outside himself, spoke in a strong commanding demeanor.
Kill all your foes, in my name!
Seized with a strong determination as he's never felt before, Jerax attacks his vegepygmy opponent with a renewed vigor!
Under guidance Battleaxe: 1d20 + 3 + 1 ⇒ (16) + 3 + 1 = 20
Dmg: 1d8 + 2 ⇒ (8) + 2 = 10

GM-Gathrix |

Actions Round 2
Izrail 22 Misses with Fauchard
Sister Margaletta 19 Misses with Jutte
Alicia Casts Guidance
Vegepygmyx3 14 1d20 ⇒ 6 The Vegepygmies are brave, but not suicidal and decide to run for it. Disengaging from combat.
Kirk 12+ Misses with sling
Ileosa 12
Jerax 6 Catches up to one and finishes it off
Meridian 2 Catches up to one and finishes it off, only one Vegepygmy left!

Ileosa Albus |

Ileosa smiles at Izrail's words. "A man after my own heart." She said as she winked at him. Though once she saw them retreating she saw the chance to move in beside her friend and heal the wounds the vegepygmies had caused him.
Healing to Jerax: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4
The glowing heal fire moved over Jerax's wounds, closing what they could. "Are you alright Jerax?" She asked, rather worried about her friend.

Kirk Hetfield |

Kirk attempts to blast the last one up side his head with a bullet from his sling.
Halfling Long Sling: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (2) + 4 = 6
damage: 1d6 ⇒ 5
Crap I sucked during this battle. Didn't hit a freaking thing! Can't wait to be a bard.

GM-Gathrix |

The last Vegepygmy runs through the dense forest faster than you can catch him. Before you is another scene of carnage and more Vegepygmy heads to claim. 7 heads
More spears, a few small bucklers, and some small leather armors.
After you collect yourselves. Pivenzobili casts *Cure Light Wounds on Jerax and again he feels intense pain as his wounds are washed away.
You continue down the deer trail only a little further and you can see a clearing in the forest. It is the heart of the woods, and there are Treants and Vegepygmies everywhere. You know to attack the camp would be suicide.
Give me a final map check DC 17. Remember one other person can aid you, and you can also get guidance cast on you from someone.

Jerax Hellfire |

Though once she saw them retreating she saw the chance to move in beside her friend and heal the wounds the vegepygmies had caused him.
[dice=Healing to Jerax]1d8+1

With a sigh of relief, Jerax breathes, "I'm a lot better now," as he looks down where the large gash in his side was. Looking to the human adept and gnome, "Thanks, you two", as a smile crosses the tiefling's face.
"Hey, exclaimed Jerax to the group, "who touched me on the shoulder during the battle?"
Kirk Hetfield |

Kirk spends time cutting off more heads for the good of the group.
After doing this he gets out his map making stuff and begins to jot it all down.
Mistress Ileosa, perhaps you could assist me in the making of the map this time? It would be much appreciated.
knowledge: Geography: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (9) + 1 = 10
Yup, definitely going to need some help.
Wasn't the fire I started back that way? Or, was it over there? I can't seem to remember. Bah! May the first curse these stupid plant people and curse my master for him bringing me out here!

Jerax Hellfire |

Alicia raises her hand.
That was me, Jerax. Seemed like you could use a little of the devil kings focus. Hope it helped.
"Devil kings focus? What was that?", questioned Jerax. "It was weird. The world did seem to be in extreme focus..and I think I heard a voice," the tiefling said sheepishly.

Jerax Hellfire |

"Huh", said the tiefling, "a gift you say.." Jerax's conversation with Alicia trails off, lost in his own thoughts.

Sister Margaletta |

"Jiggery-pokery from the hedge witch," Margaletta mutters. "Provincials..."
Turning to the disgusting gnome, she asks, "How much further? I'm getting sick of this forest and its never-ending cabbage-faced runty little s*** people."

Meridian Anterian |

Meridian glances sharply at Margaletta and speaks quietly, "It may seem like jiggery-pokery to one from the heart of Cheliax, but her gifts stem from The First nonetheless. Perhaps it would be wise to keep that in mind before casting aspersions upon them."

Jerax Hellfire |

Perception: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (12) + 2 = 14
Shaken out of his memory by surrounding events, notices more activity in the vegepygmy camp.
"Uh, guys. I think we should move out of the open."

Meridian Anterian |

Eh, adepts don't actually get their magic from a deity. But most of us don't have the requisite knowledge to know that.
Yup. And Meridian certainly does not. She sees a worshiper of Asmodeus doing healing and guidance stuff and assumes; and is jealous.

![]() |

Izrail signals the group to stop and turns back to speak in almost a whisper, trying to nto draw to much attention from the pygmies.
"Going further would be dangerous. If we have the map we should go back to town and only come again with a full exterminator squad and lots of fire."

Meridian Anterian |

What are the rolls that can be used to help Kirk make the map?
Meridian glances at the clearing full of moving plant creatures, and then back around them, "Yes, it would be good to leave, Izrail, but Kirk is having some trouble with the map. Can anyone help him?"
Perception: 1d20 ⇒ 15.

Ileosa Albus |

Ileosa cast a bit of guidance upon herself and took the map from Kirk. "Allow me to work from what you already have." She told the halfling before she started working.
Survival: 1d20 + 3 + 1 ⇒ (12) + 3 + 1 = 16
Okay now, if you allow her working off of what Kirk already has as him aiding her then she'd get a 18. If not then she is one shy...

Alicia De'ville |

Sister Margaletta wrote:Eh, adepts don't actually get their magic from a deity. But most of us don't have the requisite knowledge to know that.Yup. And Meridian certainly does not. She sees a worshiper of Asmodeus doing healing and guidance stuff and assumes; and is jealous.
also alicia does believe Asmodeus is the source of her spells. It's the thought that counts. She certainly does not see herself as a hedge witch, simply a noble woman downn on her luck.

Kirk Hetfield |

Kirk begins to beat feet without even looking back. He hisses under his breath,
Hurry everyone. Milady don't drop that map. I made it this far. I'm not becoming plant food today.

Meridian Anterian |

Meridian immediately begins falling back covering their path with her crossbow, "Lets go. Before they get ideas about stopping us."

Jerax Hellfire |

"Yeah", spoke Jerax as he walked next to Meridian, "the tieflings will cover the rear."
Jerax looked down to Meridian, and nodded to her.

Pivenzobili |

"I know a quicker way back to town, one the vegepygmies might not know, but it has its own dangers. There is an entrance to a Duergar tunnel I know that can take us close to Longacre, but the Duergar don't like many surface dwellers. I think if we go back the way we came we might face larger vegepygmy attacks in the night and they are good at hiding in the forest. "

Meridian Anterian |

"I prefer the uncertainty of the caves to the certainty of massed Pygmy attacks every night."

Pivenzobili |

"Ok I will show you." An hour later of quickly moving west in the whispering woods he brings you to a large clearing in the woods.
Pivenzobili starts to speak in an unusual language
Pivenzobili opens the door and hurries the party in. You can hear vegepygmies and treants on your tails.

Ileosa Albus |

Ileosa rolled up the map once she was sure it was dry and followed after the others. When the door shows itself Ileosa looked to those around her. "Now or never, take our chances in the dark, or fight off the vegepygmies and treants heading our way? Oh and just so you're all informed... I have no more healing spells till dawn." She said. "So my vote is the dark."

Jerax Hellfire |

Izrail makes a gesture as if he holds a door and says "Beautiful ladies first." finishing with a wink.
Rolling his eyes, Jerax says, under his breath to Meridian, "If Izrail keeps up all this sweet talk, my teeth are gonna start hurting."
The tiefling then drops down the trap door to join the others, offering to help anyone down the door who needs it.
Ivar Deepwalker |

The tunnels are dark and for those without dark vision impossible to see without a bit of light. You Hear a voice ahead in a language like what Pivenzobili was speaking before

Meridian Anterian |

Rolling his eyes, Jerax says, under his breath to Meridian, "If Izrail keeps up all this sweet talk, my teeth are gonna start hurting."
The tiefling then drops down the trap door to join the others, offering to help anyone down the door who needs it.
Meridian accepts his help with a wicked little grin, "Sometimes a girl likes a little flattery. Not often, but sometimes. I usually prefer other gestures of affection." Jerax notices that her tail is particularly friendly as she accepts his help down into the tunnel.
When the voice echoes out of the tunnel, Meridian reflexively grips her crossbow and looks down the tunnel to try and see the source of the voice.

Jerax Hellfire |

"Uh, Piv. What the f#<* did he say?" questioned Jerax.

Ileosa Albus |

Ileosa flashed a smile to Izrail before sliding down with the others. When she heard another speak like Piv had she froze a bit. "Pivenzobili, you are aware most of us can't see right now yes?" She asked as calmly as she could, yet her voice had a bit of nervousness in it.

Ivar Deepwalker |

"I have secured our passage, and you can use light if you need too."

Kirk Hetfield |

Well, I see no need to go stumbling about in the dark Milady.
Kirk reaches into his pack and produces a sunrod. He does whatever you need to do to make a sunrod work. Once the light begins to shine forth he holds it aloft for everyone in the party to see.
Does anyone know what this idiot is trying to tell us? Piv, tell him we need to get back to Longacre.

Pivenzobili |

"Like I said, I have secured our passage. Just follow me. " Pivenzobili says responding to Kirk.
Kirk's sunrod illuminates the area nicely. This is an old tunnel, barley large enough for you to move through comfortable. The Duergar that was speaking to Pivenzobili retreats with many others that were staring at you in the dark groaning.
" There is a clearing up ahead where we can rest." Pivenzobili suggests.
Who all has Vegepygmy heads and how many?

Jerax Hellfire |

Jerax is carrying a sack of 4 vegepygmy heads of his own kills, and a sack full of vegepygmy head that Kirk has been harvesting for the rest of the group, he should have the exact count of heads.
