Alright ladies and gents, less than 24 hours to go!
So, I was just looking at our stuff here...
How many of us are Ranged and how many is melee?
I think we have technically half and half with the Aegi, Soulknifes and the Gunslinger, Ranger and Soulbolts.
I believe we have 5 melee, 2 ranged, 1 healer, 1 trapmonkey, and 1 full manifester applicant. I don't know how many of these will actually be done on time though, only about 16 hours to go.
A couple of those melee's may be ranged though. I haven't gotten to look over everyone yet.
I've just been waffling over direction as far as WHEN I wanted to cross into Soulknife (Might just be a Thematic thing). I also have to ask Jim, I hear that you browse DSP forums, You know of the feat that Aegi can take thats in development? Is it possible for Jin to take said feat?
Cryptic is a point-blank ranged character. Think of it like a rogue and you have a solid idea of what the character does and doesn't do.
Then twist in a -few- spells.
I just finished up purchasing Gaz's gear, so he is 100% complete (barring background) and ready for your perusal.
@Jin I haven't come across it yet. What's the name of it?
It looks like Nohwear may not get his vitalist done. I don't see that he even has it started. If that's the case, we will be playing without a healer
I got one more request for you guys. Post which of these roles you intend your build to fill. Melee, ranged, healer, manifester, or traps. You may describe your character a bit differently, but which of these does he fill best? Thanx!

Elan Cryptic; (Short) Ranged/Skilled Traps.
James Crownwell: Ranged.
Lucas "Luke" Helias:
Primary = Ranged.
Secondary = Traps.
Melee is a very small part of this guy. The scimitar is only last resort.
(But I might work in some Dervish Dance feat in him, if need be)
Nessen: Healing
Ranged and very, very sneaky, sir. When I start taking monk levels, I should gain some decent tankability as well.
Melee, Tank
The Feat is called Student of the Astral Suit
Psion (Nomad) will not be combat effective at low levels with only a light crossbow and dagger. That's why I'm picking up a level of Soulbolt under Soulknife to get a 1D6/1D8/1D10 damage, 100/60/20-ft range weapon at Level 2. Add in some medium and long-ranged battlefield control psionic powers before going Elocator (Level 6 or 7), at which point you have a speedy flanker with a sword. Going for Jack-of-All-Trades manifester with Knowledge skills. At middle levels (Level 10-12), Elocator really helps with the Psychoports for the party. Soulbolts with a properly configured "ghost gun" should always be first-strike ranged attackers.
Melee, Frontliner/Bruiser
@Andrezi Soooo... which role does all that fill?
Secondary hitter! I won't be the strongest by far, but I will be first-strike ranged, and with teleport powers, blipping around the battlefield as necessary. Jack-of-All-Trades. You have "full manifester", so call me that. Filling the Knowledge skills!

I noticed several people just put dice damage with their melee bonus, so that it looks something like this
Melee Longsword +4(1d8/19-20)
I realize you were just following my template, but I forgot to mention that my template has a Str of 10, which is why there's no bonus damage with it. Please update your sheets to reflect this, if applicable, so that it looks something like this
Melee Longsword +4(1d8+3/19-20)

Being that I didn't want backstories, I was left with little criteria to choose from. Everyone had reasonable concepts. Those who made it are those who responded to my PM's right away. I figured they would be most likely to post frequently.

There are a lot of other psionic games on the boards right now, if you're willing to do the occult playtest, though.

It's more 3.5e warlock & divine casters.
Ah, apologies. I have limited knowledge of it, and 'psychic' 'kineticisist' and 'mesmer' all came across as psionic to me, based on the names. Good luck!
I haven't been able to read the book yet, nor has the PRD been updated, but while I'm reading familiar words like "Kineticist" and "Psychic", it appears from the boards that it is labeled Occult, and would be closer to witch-like ESP than Dreamscarred Press psionics.
Feel free to blow raspberries if I'm totally off on this, but that's my first impression. "Occult" is NOT Dreamscarred psionics-compatible.

If you want to submit a healer or a full manifester, id be willing to consider them. You would need to be quick about it though.

Also, I wanna make sure you understand this is a frequent post game. There's a 2/day minimum, but we are hoping people will post more.
I will adhere to the template religiously and I carry an iPad everywhere so I can post from anywhere. I'm posting this from a Starbucks during a lunch break, so 2 posts a day is easy for me.

I keep getting error messages when I try to post here so I sent my character sheet by PM, but the error problem seems to have gone away, so I'll post here as well.
Zaralastra is a psion, thus a pure manifester and he doesn't believe in multi-classing so he's going to stay that way. Although he's not a dedicated healer, as a psion egoist he has substantial self-healing abilities and he will soon be able to heal others with Empathic Transfer and (eventually), Shared Effect.
Was that a shot at multi-classers son?

Though Im not sure if either were all that pertinent. But He's the GM, as of right now he's no different from the other squishies to my char.
It's partly just a personal preference and partly because the GM said they were looking for a full manifester or healer.
Understandable, it was mostly Satire.
I was tempted to go with a Vitalist because those psionic network effects are really interesting. They're genuinely different from arcane casting, not just relabeled arcane spells It would be quite interesting to see how they actually work in practice, but in the end I passed and went with the psion.
And I really wish my computer would stop auto-correcting "psion" to "poison." That is going to be embarrassing at some point.
