jimibones83, are you going for the discipline-specific talents, or the Automatic Talents option - pick 3 1st-level talents instead of discipline talents?
Edit:
Second Question: I'm usually playing self-sufficient Jack-of-all-Trades characters. To that end, I usually use Call Item, a power once found on The Mind's Eye in D&D 3.0, but never again, not even in Dreamscarred Press.
Call Item
Psychoportation (Teleportation)
Level: Psion/wilder 1, psychic warrior 1
Display: Material
Manifesting Time: 1 standard action
Range: 0 ft.
Effect: 1 item; see text
Duration: 10 min./level; see text (D)
Saving Throw: None
Power Resistance: No
Power Points: 1
You call a piece of nonmagical equipment worth 10 gp or less "from thin air" into your waiting hand. (Actually, it is a real item hailing from some other random location in space and time.) You don't have to see or know of the item to call it - in fact, you can't ever call a specific item. You just specify the kind (silk rope, basket, torch, or some other item). This power cannot call weapons, armor, psionic items, masterwork items, living creatures, or valuable treasures (see Table 7-8 in the Player's Handbook for typical items called by this power). The item is made of ordinary materials appropriate for its kind. Using called items as spell components causes the spell to fail. If you relinquish your grip on the item you called for 2 or more consecutive rounds, it automatically returns to wherever it originally came from. Items gained by call item are distinctive due to their astral glimmer.
Augment: If you spend 2 additional power points, you can call an item worth 100 gp or less. If you spend 4 additional power points, you can call an item worth 1,000 gp or less.
Would you allow my character to have Call Item? Being a Nomad, the "call a tindertwig or rope out of thin air" makes sense for a planes-traveler.

Dotting with proposed character from jhpace1. Andrezi the Younger, also a remade Elan Minerva, following Hotaru of the Society/Lan Minerva.
Thanks for letting me use Call Item, jimibones83!
As far as background goes, I'll be able to do more once I know more about the world. I'm thinking like Hotaru of the Society, a street orphan remade into an Elan with shipbuilding (sails) craft. Other posters have Stealth in the stratosphere, my Jack-of-All-Trades has more Knowledge: Psionics and Psicraft. Along with a psicrystal scout. But Andrezi is all about speed. He's just got defense first. :)

I just want to compile a list of submissions/ intended submissions. The quote block will make it easy to scan.
I will Submit Jin Hebimoto/ Human Aegis Planning for Soulknife/Aegis/Metaforge
Far less focus on speed more on Durability and Strength.

Hey Elisa, what style Soulknife ya goin? I'm thinking the Xeph racial, which is a quick striking archetype. Depending on your style, two SKs can be in the same group without worrying about overlap.
I wasn't planning on taking any archtype if thats what you mean I was going for more of a frontliner fighting style but I can fill whatever is needed.

Friar "Fatling"
Halfling Aberrant AegisA small slow moving juggernaunt who wields a massive weapon
Hey all! Long time lurker here but i want to get into a game and start playing :)
The basics of my idea is a halfling aegis with the Obese customization. This will make him slow and fat :)
He will be quite robust and durable but his slow speed is an inborn weakness that i will have to figure out how to get around.
As he levels he will take the powerful build customization at lvl 2 and the augment build customization at lvl 6 and finally, if/when he gets there, he will get an impact weapon. As he continues to improve in power, he starts to wield larger and larger weapons until you have this small, fat little creature swinging around a hammer the size of a flagpole! equivelent of a huge weapon ^_^
Note: i will NOT be creating a tentacled horror. Not for me, no thanks :(
A bit about him.
Friar will be a bit of a monk. He comes from a monastary and loves food. He will have a rank in profession/craft: Cook as he travels around and ceates/eats different meals and dishes. He will always have a small store of food that he carries around with him and he constantly seems to be munching on different things.
His alignment will be Jolly Good (NG) as he is always in good spirits and willing to lend a hand to those around him or share a meal.
While he will probably start off using a pistol of some sort, he will come to realize that his exceptonal girth has granted him a strength and resiliency that belies his size and makes him a natural in close quarters combat with over-large weapons.
So i am a newish player to the boards, but have been playing D&D since early 3.0, i love building characters with inbuilt weaknesses and lots of flavour Food for Thought?
So, what do you guys think?
| Cam James |
Well i didnt realize he was similar to Jin :(
But i guess if they are both aegii they will be similar in a lot of ways.
Friar is mostly a durable frontliner capable of dealing melee damage, but slow.
As for the weapon, in reality it is a small creature wielding a medium weapon with some damage bonuses (which apparently impact doesnt stack sadly). Nothing much.
But flavour wise, it is a small, fat guy swinging around a hammer that is way too big for him, smashing it into his foes and being all jolly about it :)
well that aside, his crunch is almost finished, just have to come up with his traits and equipment, then write more flavour and backstory and fun things about him :)
BTW, Aegii have absolutely pathetic class skills and apparently arnt proficent in much armour... Go figure ^_^

I'll submit either Dixom de Beaumont, the human alchemist or something I will have to speak to you about as soon as you get up.

Cryptic is just -amazing-. Elan + Cryptic basically -is- what I'd homebrewed a long time ago. Though, in the world, it was steam-tech, with no magic or psionics, so I worked it out as using electromagnetic fields, tech, and chemistry.
Cryptic is just -cool-. I'm fairly certain I won't be able to stand up with the big boys, but I'll have tons of fun tricks :)

So, quick question, setting-wise:
So what language does people talk? Is it still completely like Regular pathfinder (Golarion) setting with the languages or could I pick languages like Githyanki?
Should we have professions? Will they be useful? Or do we have downtime...?
Is Cybertech something we should think about?
| jimibones83 |
@Luke good question. I havent really thought about that yet. Give me a day or so and I'll have an answer for ya. As to githyanki though, it will have been crudely translated by now, so you may pick it as a language yes.
We will have downtime, profession is up to you. You don't have to have one but you will have opportunities to use it if you take it.
I don't think cybertech is something we will get into, however this is my debut with future tech, so I reserve the right to be wrong. I don't think we will be dealing with enough tech for it to be an issue though
