Kyra curses as the arrows whiz by her. She could have also sworn that at least a couple bounced off; she couldn't tell, due to the head ot the battle.
"Brok! Fren! Could you come up here and join the fight?" she shouts.
These arrows are annoying, but I need to deal with this guy on the bridge first...
She grunts as the sword bounces off her shield and the guy steps back. She follows, stepping forward, and shifts her stance, focusing more on defense right now. She's fighting defensively. Then she swings at the guy again, though keeping her mind more on keeping herself alive than on hitting him.

And this guy is going to die of old age before she hits him :P

Darvan sidesteps the blow, moving to break their flank as he takes out his greatsword and slashes at the man.

Well, sod...in all the time I've played, I never noticed that. So scratch the Enlarge, Kern doesn't have time to case it after getting up. Instead....

Darvan steps the other way in a vain attempt to keep the flank broken, chopping forward again.

I could switch to my crossbow, but with that cover I might miss, and I don't have many bolts. Plus, they're far enough away that they could escape. And if I cross over, I'll draw their fire and... hmm, idea.
She then whispers to Kern, "I'll distract them and draw their fire. Please help get the others across the bridge. Once we're inside their camp, we can move to where their cover doesn't help them much."

Then she crosses the bridge, moving down along the log as she heads around them to the south. She keeps her shield up towards the archers, and takes a swing at those behind the log, aiming for the one nearest to her.
"Surrender while you can! Or pray the gods will have mercy on your pathetic souls!"

Kern does begin casting Enlarge Person this time. If there are still people on this side of the river when he's done, he'll ground his staff on the other side of the river so that it can be used as a handhold while crossing.

The bandit fighting with Darvan enraged at the death of his comrades and fearing for his life attempts one last time to down the Stalker.

The East tower fires down at the Paladin before moving down the tower as quickly as he can. Shouting as he goes: "Save yer self!"

The two archers begin backing away from the angry paladin, both fired at her before retreating.

Kira growls as one arrow bounces off her shield, the other two flying by her.
That was too close.
She moves around the log, giving chase as the bandits retreat, mentally cursing her use of heavy armor this one time.
"Bloody fools! If you would surrender and pledge yourselves to us, we won't harm you!"

Kyra sighs as the bandits flee faster than she can pursue.
"Blast it. We'll need to track and... Ow!"
She hisses in pain as she feels the arrow strike from earlier, wincing and reaching up to pull it out. That draws a cry of pain from her, before she growls and looks towards the fleeing bandits.
"Darvan, you better still be alive."
She then looks to the others. "Shall we see if we still have a chakram-tossing leader-killer? He's pretty good at eliminating the bandit leaders, and I am not in the mood for yelling at a corpse for recklessly getting himself killed."
She smiles, just a bit, and hopes everyone else gets the joke.

He looks around at the camp, "Hunt down the survivors if you wish. Personally I think it's inevitable that the bandits' leader will find out we're here."
"I'll stay here and catalog the gear and deal with the bodies. That will give us someone here in case one of them is smart enought to double back to try and pick up gear or loot. Fren, I wouldn't be adverse to some additional healing, if you've some to spare."

Early Morning, Fireday, 4 Pharast, 4710
Day 4
It takes the party a few moments to find the track, but on their horses it feels as if they are gaining quickly. They ride for a good 10 fifteen minutes through the undergrowth before they come across a small clearing.
And the bodies of the four escaped bandits piled up in the clearing.
Off to the left, you spot Makon and his men digging a hole.
Makon nods as his Kobolds keep digging.

Bringing his horse to heel, Brok gives the kobolds a salute and with the help of Kern translating.
"I see good hunting favored you. Kobolds of the Sootscale Radishes, You have proven your valor and your help much appreciated. I, Brok thank you. The Stag Men are no more."

While the others ride, Kern will first give make sure that each of the bandits in camp is clearly dead, then strip the bodies and lay them out near their campfire. Finally, he will cast a Detect Magic on the gear pile (just in case :) and catalog the gear.

Darvan smiles through the pain in his back, gently sliding off his horse and approaching their leader. "Kern, would you? Tell them they are true allies and we are not brothers in arms." He offers a firm handshake to their leader.
