Looking for someone to tie my backstory to. We got any noble applicants? I need a house to train a knight :p

Also, posting is not a problem for me nearly any time of day.

Silver Crusade

@GM Wolf
Would it be alright if I took one away from my wis and beefed my cha to the 20? (17 + 2 from race)

Campaign Traits: Taken from Kingmaker's Players Guide

If you don't have the guide, please PM me or post and I will put down a few.

Campaign Traits: Bastard, Issian, Noble Born, Pioneer,Rostlander, and Sword Scion. I just don't care for the Bandit, but if you are starting to redeem yourself or something along those lines, then it should be interesting.

Fionn:
Yes, you may take from wisdom and beef up your charisma. Thank you for putting it all in one place for me, so much easier. ;)

Silver Crusade

@GM Wolf
Done! Everything is up to date on my profile. Also, my pleasure! And as always, thank you for the consideration

Everyone please read abilities once more, for many of you are making mistakes!

No worries, either you hate or love them. Let me submit Sajan instead,as I hadn't seen that Fizz was a bard. He is a human male Wizard. Will fix statblock to reflect changes and fix backstory a bit.

** spoiler omitted **

Pm me! I'll send you what I have and we can work it together. I'm not a fan of a party of strangers :s

Please include in your character creation a description of your appearance and that of any familiars, mounts, companions, etc.

Also, some of the game play information that I need all the time can posted right on your character right in the forum. "How is that?" you may ask. Well let me tell you! Just post this in your Class/Levels area of your profile:

Halfling Fighter
Lv 1 HP: 13/13, - AC: 18/T: 12/FF: 16 - Perception: +7 - Initiative: +4 - F: +4 / R: +2/ W: +2 - CMB: +4 - CMD: 16, Speed: 20
Make sure you leave out the first '/' in front of spoiler. Any questions on what is what, let me know.

This way if I need to roll something for you (by the way I'll be rolling a lot of your saving throws, initiative, things like that, you roll for damage) I can do it without having to dig up your character sheet.

Another note: I would like your skills in a formula, so you and I can see how you came up with a total. Example Perception +11 (Racial +2, CS +3, Ranks 2, item +2, Wisdom +2)

CS=class skill bonus

The dreaded day of deadline is upon us, get those character's finished up for extra bonuses!!! Good luck all!

We have Fionn Oighiríg the half-elf Caviler, and Sajan Barid Suyyddhaan the human Evoker done, but still adjusting background, they are looking for more heroes!

I believe I am good to go-I just saw that I left out the CS in notating my skils-in fact I formatted that all wrong, but the details are all there. I have to run to a meeting and cannot alter it again, but I think I am completely completed now.

If you like I can fix the skills later tonight.

Hope you like good old Fizzy

My character is training (or trained) as a Swordlord. He is from a cadet family of House Lebeda. Anyone looking for a tie in?

Hey Vik,

I'm a bastard born of the Lebedas, we could possibly tie it in that way. Also Fionn is already in Brevoy as well, and has been for a while.

Maybe you can act as the connection between the two of us, while I could have met Fizz on a caravan to Brevoy and by extension you would both know him through me.

Well met, my name is Kevros Droverson, former Crossbowman for the <?> military, now seeking to make a mark of my own. I grew tired of cheap equipment and the pay of a state financed military and decided to strike it out on my own. I am interested in joining your band to take back the Stolen Lands and of course enjoy in the spoils of our goals.

GM Wolf - may I trade in Half-Elven Adaptability for Ancestral Arms?

It will be a mixing of his two races, archery from his elven heritage and the mechanical marvel of a repeating crossbow of his human heritage.

Anyone who needs the Kingmaker Campaign Traits, here you go...

http://www.d20pfsrd.com/traits/campaign-traits/kingmaker

Under construction

traits:

1. Elven Reflexes - +2 to Init - However, Kevros is not related to an Elven Tribe ancestor.

2. Requires GM Approval

Campaign Trait - Pioneer

Benefit You begin play with a horse. Also, choose one of the following skills: Climb, Handle Animal, Knowledge (nature), Perception, Ride, Survival, or Swim—you gain a +1 trait bonus on this skill.

Background Draft:

Former Crossbowman of State (Kingdom\Country) Military

Human Father and Elven mother

Famous parents, or Noble, or Bastard, or hiding from his true identity, or all of the above?

Long Line of Match Pushers (archers and crossbowmen\women) or ground breaking profession?

Appearance:

Tall, muscular build, not your typical archer\crossbowman - this one has muscle on him. Both Kevros and his equipment are built for both the front line and combat support.

DM Wolf:
realized I took 4d6 on my abiliites not 3d6 from the die roll. Hence the high numbers I guess :). Will have S'ala back up soon with the corrected sheet. One note - Monks get to take their WIS modifier to CMD so it will always be higher than normal characters.

I do not have Kingmaker campaign guide (is it easily available somewher) can you give me a campaign trait that fits my background easily?

I'll have to pull back my submission, I probably won't get the chance to revamp my profile for your feedback before the deadline. Looks like a you've some quality submission tho....happy playing.

Q: Are half-elfs immune to a ghouls paralysis effect now that they are treated as elf blood?
A: (James Jacobs 10/26/09) Traditionally, only elves have been immune to ghoul paralysis. But it does look like the current wording for "elf blood" would extend to half-elves. And since "elf blood" IS more of a disadvantage than an advantage since very few "elf only" items or effects exist. So yeah, upon further reflection, I'd say that half-elves are fine and immune to ghoul paralysis.

Darn Angeus do you have to pull out? We definitely need a rogue in the party.

Possible story interweave, traveling with one of the Swordlords or even the nobles. Every noble needs range protection, plus I am more like Matthew Quigley in Quigley Down Under (yes, I am dating myself ... lol) - "I said I never had much use for one (a sword). Never said I didn't know how to use it (a sword)."

Update to this...

--------------------
Background:
S'ala from a wealthy Osirian merchant family, but was sent to the Irori monastery from a young age. While undergoing training, his family was killed in one of the many internecine struggles. This event combined with his training has led him down the Louts Path and he seeks peaceful resolution to most confrontations. He will fight to defend himself or others, but seeks peaceful resolutions to most situations and avoids killing creatures when other means are available.

As part of his discipline and training, he has been sent to travel the world, spread his peaceful approach, and learn about the working of the world. He has been sent on this mission for several years. This traveling has led to a few successful adventures.

Appearance:
S’ala’s most striking feature is his dark, unyielding eyes. That and his stoic mannerisms and expressionless face lead many to believe he is uninterested in his surroundings, but he is in fact quite curious about the world outside his monastery. He is athletically built and well-muscled. He wears typical bland monk’s robe with a cowl and cape. His head is shaved bald and he appears hairless. His voice is deep and resonant but he is a man of few words. He is armed often with a spear which he will use in both melee and ranged attacks. If the fighting gets close (he hopes it does not) he will use his exotic Monk weapons and Flurry of Blows to end things.

Look forward to the choosing, and the game. Thanks!

House Lebeda could be the house my mother flees to after being exiled from House Surtova. If you'd be willing, I was planning on having a childhood friend to be raised with after the untimely death of my mother. PM me if this would be to you liking!

Fionn, I see that I can also tie in with your character even though socially I am not a nobleman. Everyone melee character needs a good sharpshooter to wear down and charging opponent and keep their flanks cleared, I own a horse so I will not slow you down, and I am of Elven blood (stretching on the last one, I know). I can also adapt my background to fit your more as well.

Background Second Draft:

Son of a human warrior of great renown and an Elven princess. Unlike the normal curse of half-elven children becoming bastards, he lived a privileged childhood. When he became of age, he decided in order to become a man, he would have to shed his current privileged lifestyle and begin anew. No one knows he is of noble birth unless they investigate his background extensively for he will not tell anyone, his current family name is not of nobility, and he owns nothing that will directly link him to his birthright.

He traveled for a bit looking for a new life and found himself in the Brevoy military. In the military, he decided to take up the Repeating Crossbow in the Brevoy Special Forces since he comes from a long line of great Elven archers from his mother side. It would be a great mend of his lineage, a mending of great elven master archers and the industrial mechanical inventions of his father's side.

After a while, Kevros was becoming disdain with the Kingdom of Brevoy and the Brevoy Military. Nothing worse than a country tearing itself apart and everyone suffers except perhaps the wealthy and the nobles. As a result, he ended his stint with the Brevoy military honorably. For his service, he was allowed to keep his equipment and horse. He gathered up all of his equipment, his coin, and set out into the wild searching for himself.

Background modified, with tie-ins to Vik, Fion and Fizz. If fizz and angeus coould make some sort of connection then we would be set. Do we have any divine caster completed applicants yet, because we seem to be warrior heavy, but rogue and caster light?

Your father must have been massive, was he a fighter or barbarian, considering your stature of 6'4". Please incorporate into background or make it more reasonable.

Your twist of ablilties can only be done once, you choose which ONE gets a +1 and which ONE gets a -1. ONLY ONCE!

Ancestral Arms - possible just incorporate it into your background.

What is the other trait you are trying to get?

Characters done, except a few background adjustments:

Fionn Oighiríg - Half-elf cavalier
Sajan Barid Suyyddhaan – Human evoker
Alexandra von Ravenstein – Human Sorceress
Mikhail Vaughn-Sarovik – human cavalier/bard
Viklop "Vik" Kolavar – Human fighter
S'ala - Monk of the Lotus
Fizzwiddle Glockenfleffor XXII - bard
Ethan Sower - Cleric of Erastil

Characters so far:
Anderlorn
Aakif "Quinto" Al-sherian – bard
Quince Medvyed –
Nightskies
Khelreddin - Inquisitor
Lucent

Backup characters:
Angeus (Eastern Time) - Rogue

If you need me to dump S'ala and roll up a Rogue or Caster, I will but prefer this submission.

I'd also love to swap in Ancient Arms (instead of adaptability for exotic weapon prof. Bastard sword, so I can first feat weapon focus: Lance. If this isnt possible it is very understandable,

2nd level hp : 1d8 ⇒ 6

Fionn that would be fine, but type it up in your background and in your crunch explain what you are replacing adaptability for extoci weapon prof. bastard sword

Hemmings, it is your choice, it looks like we could use another healer, but with a few spell changes the bards could cover that... Your choice...

Horse crunch done. (under Fionns profile.) Let me know If I need to update it! Other than that, I believe I am all finished up, 100%

4 more minutes until the first finish line, until I get delayed and now we are 38 minutes over deadline. I would like to start the campaign tomorrow, what time do you suggest? 7pm?

If you are on this list you don't need to PM me:
Fionn Oighiríg - Half-elf cavalier
Viklop "Vik" Kolavar – Human fighter

S'ala - Monk of the Lotus
Anderlorn - Half-elf crossbow fighter
Mikhail Vaughn-Sarovik – human cavalier/bard

Ethan Sower - Cleric of Erastil
Fizzwiddle Glockenfleffor XXII - bard

Sajan Barid Suyyddhaan – Human evoker
Alexandra von Ravenstein – Human Sorceress

Angeus - rogue

There are some of you who have shown interest, but have not done much work, primarily talking about your background story. If you still want to be considered please PM me and see if you can have your background done by 4pm tomorrow.

Next order of business, we can do this several ways. First, we can do a massive group, better loot for the CRs will go up, more likely you will die, and no resurrections until like 7th level. When you die, you are dead, unless you had other arrangements.

Secondly, we can do two groups. You need to have a leader and his allies, think about it, we are in Kingmaker. You will eventually face one another.

Thirdly, make some suggestions...

I hate to say it, but I'm not going to have a story done by then. And re-reading things, I could manage 5 posts a day, but not in the time slot you'd like, so I'll withdraw the minimal entry I've made so far.

Have fun, y'all.

I'd vote for 2 smaller groups, easier dynamics I think. don't have strong feelings either way.

Silver Crusade

I like the two group idea, especially the head-to-head aspect, but that may just be me.

I am not a fan of PvP myself...

Also GM I know you are running another game, I might suggest being careful about doing too much, as it might drag you down. I was in another game, that was great and he started 3 groups at once, then couldnt handle it and stopped all of them.

I would say 1 group, that is carefully selected, (yes even if that means I get cut myself!) of however many players you think you can manage without bogging the PbP down because we have to wait for others, or whatever.

Also sending you a PM with an idea.

I'm for either the two groups or what Fizz said, a selection of the players. Because if you do the 5 post requirements for both AND your other campaign commitments it might be alot.

1. It is true, 1 group may make the opponents have higher CRs or you can throw double or more lower CRs as an alternative.

2. We can do #2 and end with PvP or we can do #2 and all become lords of the same territory like Waterdeep. Regardless, I am good for either.

3. I do not have a #3 at this time.

I like Fizz's idea, I feel like the two groups could work and the supergroup is an interesting idea but waiting for so many people to respond could get tiresome in combat even with everyone posting regularly. That being said, I have no doubt you could run two games at once but that would also get tiring. So I put my vote to making a selection or a supergroup before the PVP option.

I know well that enemy life. I will make the adjustments to quince asap.

Quince's rolls

5d6 ⇒ (4, 6, 4, 5, 2) = 21
5d6 ⇒ (2, 3, 2, 5, 4) = 16
5d6 ⇒ (2, 6, 4, 6, 1) = 19
5d6 ⇒ (2, 5, 1, 6, 1) = 15
5d6 ⇒ (5, 6, 1, 2, 4) = 18
5d6 ⇒ (6, 1, 1, 3, 6) = 17
5d6 ⇒ (3, 3, 6, 5, 2) = 19

Rolling for my 2nd level HP...

1d10 ⇒ 9

Should be done by 7 PM PST, or at least pretty close.

I am thinking I will have two groups. One will be at a slower pace a minimum of 1 post per day and the other be my fast campaign. Please PM with fellow players and make your decisions on which campaign you would like to be in.

I should tell you my new schedule, that Tuesdays and Fridays will be my late nights, roughly being able to post after 10pm. Weekends are hit or miss, so post at least twice for the weekend (Saturday and Sunday).

I am still working on trying to get maps setup, so either someone gives me a hand or just work with me and have patience.

I would like to have your selections by 7 pm, but latest will be 9 pm.

I can work with either group, but would prefer the reduced pressure of the slow group (yes I also rode the short bus...).

If it's too full, I can step it up.
