Good, analysis Treppa.
Yep, on the kukri = Weapon:2 (just) but seems fair.
Sawn-off shot gun, sounds fair. A Weapon:3
Yep Body Armour:2 requires either lose clothing or it's obvious you have something. Body Armour:1 can be hidden.
.
As for some other equipment, we can always make a roll when you get there (if things aren't planned) or spend Fate Point.

Makes sense, since Our World would probably still be like 95% usable reverb under streamlined rules.
Though I am a little bummed I didn't grab paper copies myself. I mean, I guess I'll probably never lose my pdfs, but I do like having it on the bookshelf.

Apropos of nothing, I've also been amused by a new character in the last 2 books, ** spoiler omitted **
I agree. I think she's awesome, and even more, the interactions with the Major General make for a spot of humour while the rest of the world is falling apart. ;)

DSXMachina wrote:You could sell that extra copy at quite a profit, DSX! Cheapest one I found on eBay was $95.I have 2 copies, of Your Story, the second I bought so I could officially get Treppa a pdf.
Then Evil Hat sent me pdf's of both original books, cause they are awesome.
Apparently we just missed out on one for only $75. ;)

I was playing Fallout 4 in the wee hours and found a teddy bear in the trash. My first thought was "Hey, I can give this to Danny." Then I knew it was time to sleep.
That's hilarious. And also, Teddy Bears are totally launchable at supernatants. ;)

LOL,
I totally need to watch King Fu Hustle. I have it (And a hundred other things) Lined up on my NETFLIX playlist. :P
I have not played any of teh Fallout games.
I am a casual gamer. And I am afraid that a game like that, my anal-retentiveness will kick in, and I will never get anywhere, because I weill spend days (Real ones) simply searching EVERYwhere, looking for ANYthing that might be useful. Wouldnt want to miss anythinG! :P
(Yeah, I dont do it often, but when it kicks in,... Hoooo boy!)
:P

There's also the camp site just before Lindisfarne, where Mr Brackenthwaites boys are going to meet up.
Then again McDonalds in the UK is much, much worse than the US. It's also significantly more expensive. Saying that in France it's not too bad & partially because BK couldn't break into the market.

LOL,
I was in Europe ONCE. LOng ago. College choir trip/ sightseeing travel venture.
Among my many adventures on THAT journey (The length of the Rhine River) we did, once, stop at McDonalds. In a German speaking-country.
With a busload of college kids and senior citizens, NONE of whom spoke any more German than our one-page-each-language tour book provided us.
I saw ONE recognizable word on the menu. MAC. SO I ordered a Big Mac.
I got a large ice cream. I asked again. And got another large ice cream.
Someway, somehow, MAC is involved for their word for ICE CREAM. O_o
I never DID get my freaking Big Mac.

| 1 person marked this as a favorite. |
Now I'm thinking of this New Yorker cartoon.

That's funny! :)
Yes my daughter keeps sending me all of these memes and such that she comes across. One of my recent favorites?
"Hello, 2020? Yes I'd like to cancel my Hurricane of the Month Club membership!"
FYI-Sorry, actually busy this weekend! back to doing shows, Even if they are livestreamed instead of with audiences
(SO not post as much chatty as usual this weekend)

OK<
I know I've missed some 'opportunities' to make some moment-fitting Danny-comments recently. (Not sure I actually know which ones they were, but judging by reactions I've missed a few!) ;P
BUT if NO one takes up my cue line, and responds with the appropriate response, (HINT- its a movie quote) I will be very disappointed. ;P

Danny's not TRYING to tick off Sal!
It's just a gift! I swear! :P
Danny forgot how some people take their past,... more seriously than others?
My son introduced me to some of his friends from the Marines, most of them laughed hysterically at any jokes making fun of the military as an organization. (They were ALL PTSD guys, from serious action) they were the first to crack jokes about 'military intelligence', etc.
Now don't insult the MILITARY itself, or degrade their sacrifices! Nope!
:)
Danny would NEVER do that.
You know,... On purpose,... :P

By the way,
the reference to the 'uncle's story' THAT one is also real. My dad was a navy guy stationed on Bermuda. They ran short-handed on guards for the 'well-known-top-secret' nuclear experiments they were running on the island. Had subs constantly running the blockades trying to get close.
(They would take their cargo planes that fly like a brick and dump garbage on top of the subs to let them know they had been spotted. Because they weren't allowed to officially 'engage' the enemy with weapons.) ;P
One day Dad is putting up equipment (dont know what kind) when a Marine sarge walks up to him and orders him to follow. They gather up about 20-odd Navy guys, and inform them that they are short on marine guards for the top -secret project. They line them up on the beach, issued them weapons, and began drilling them.
My dad The Navy sailor, spent 6 months in the marine core. :P
IT gets better! :) (THIS is my favorite part) ;P
After a few weeks of this, the navy guys are running circles around the island (literally) and there are a bunch of off-duty Marines sitting on the sea wall mocking the Navy-marines. Being the usual military-name-calling stuff.
The drill sergeant turns to the Navy men and barks,
Sarge-"Do we hear what they're saying?!?"
Navy guys-"SIR YES SIR!"
Sarge- "Do we LIKE what they're saying?!?"
NG-"SIR NO SIR!"
Sarge- "Well, what are you waiting for? Go DO something about it!"
So, a bunch of Navy guys, who had been working out hard for a month straight, got into a brawl on the beach with a bunch of Marines, who were no doubt tough, but had not been working out while on the island.
Dad didn't say the fight was easy, but it's outcome was pre-ordained. :)
I do enjoy stories,... sometimes truth is even more entertaining than fiction. :)

Hey all,
Just wanted to apologize for the lack of my usual novel-length posts. (Or say 'your welcome' to those who are tired of reading my novel-length posts?) ;P
I'm just feeling a bit o'erwhelmed recently, with work and crazy covid-scares on campus, and no breaks because they shortened our semester to be DONE by Thanksgiving!
(Yes, the University I work for will be done with finals on Thanksgiving eve) :P
On the PLUS side, the students get a month and a half off! >_<
The,... STUDENTS,... get a month and a half off,... Not ME,... :P
I'm still here, I'm still interested, just,... not able to mentally keep up my usual frantic posting speed in all my PbP's lately.
Sincere apologies, and to anyone else who is feeling the same, May we ALL recover quickly! :)
Thanks, ~Rags,
