With Jon now outside the area of protection granted by Markus' spell, the two remaining dreams leap forward and attack though the oracle is protected by his own wards and the creatures are unable to land a blow on him.

Also, there is a clause in the Confusion spell that states any confused character who is attacked automatically attacks its attackers on its next turn, as long as it is still confused when its turn comes.
