I'm going to be fine for the next week, but I'll have a bit of difficulty 3rd-11th. Shouldn't be a problem... heck, Tyrus' action is probably to keep running :)

Glad to see you guys champing at the bit. Next post will be up in a couple hours!

Outsider
We're off once again! Tyrus, I've assumed you still plan to have Logan go straight for the throat - he's jumped the wall and can freely charge the command group next turn if you like.
Two things I'd like to mention:
1) If things start looking truly grim, don't forget about Fate Points! Each of you has three, and they can be given to other players/combined in any way you'd like. There is a basic list of the possible uses in the original Recruitment post, under Mercy's Rules, and remember you can always discuss alternate uses with me.
2) I do not have specific rules in mind for when the goblins' morale falls, but once they are at 0 they have a chance (DC 10 1d20 roll) to retreat from the attack entirely. Basically I go off "events" such as Luca's trick with her summoned monster which affected so many of them at once, or an entire side being cleared of attackers + giant Logan jumping the wall. Basically, if an impressive WOW moment occurs (or a combination of moments add up) it has a chance to lower morale. If it's impressive enough, I just auto-lower it.
However, I know such "fuzzy" rules can be irritating to some players (or they simply don't like my judgement) and if you want I can set the situations more in stone. Let me know if you have a preference.

I'm fine with keeping things a little bit fuzzy - though I might also elaborate a bit more on my intended goals are when doing something, to help you decide whether or not it would work. XD

That's quite a lot of carnage, yes. XD Hopefully, my minions remain up to the task of soaking up damage and slaughtering the little beasts... though all I can really say for the Goblins is that they should thank their twisted gods that Luca's not Level 3.

Reason I ask: I'm considering having Tyrus cast through the gap if there is one.
Outsider
No holes that would allow visibility through them yet, no. Let's say those will happen at... -80 HP on the wall sections, -60 on the gate.
As a reminder, the wall sections have 120 hitpoints (can take 120 damage before being sufficiently destroyed to allow movement through the square) and the gate sections have 100.

Ah, thanks.
I'm thinking: if Tyrus got up on the platform (currently be-goblined) could he cast burning hands on the guys trying to break through?
Going to take some work to do it, so want to make sure it would actually work.
Outsider
Yes, any medium creatures standing on the platforms are able to see over the wall.
Also, Dante: please remember to identify exactly which enemies you're swinging at. It's kind of crowded over there. This goes for everybody at all times, though.

Well between you and the pirates you accounted for all the goblins down there before the ones on the wall came down, so the options were limited in the end. :)

B7, B*, P7 and P8 are sort of translucent, as is Logan. does translucent mean they are down or something?
Outsider
I think you are referring to two different effects - the darkness and the translucence.
B7, B8 are in shadow, on the edge of the torchlight (each torch has a radius of light around it).
Logan is incapacitated yes, which has a translucence effect on DungeonGrid.

Well, he's not dead yet - but if he does die here, I think it's a suitably heroic end. Two bugbears down in one chop - one of which was not your average bugbear - isn't shabby.

Indeed not, but at least he should be stabilized now... though that's a mighty big body to try and protect. XD;

You're lucky the goblin archers didn't decide to feather him with a few more...

I don't think he can be dragged over the walls.

Are there non combatant stretcher bearers to get the injured to the infirmary?
Leaving unconcious pirates lying around on the ground does not sound good for them if a goblin does slip through.
Outsider
Raising the gate is a full-round action for one person, but only a standard action for two people. And as there are not currently any other pirates around to help, everyone you have to work with is shown on the map (though there are something like three or four other fallen pirates. Would you like me to put them up too?). Having on of the other healthy pirates drag him a ways a way wouldn't take too long.

RE fallen pirates: yes please!
I believe I've stabilised two of them.
If it is a problem, so long as there's a count, exact positioning may not matter.
Outsider
Wounded pirates are now on the map with their negatives in the label. The dice were kinder to them than the first one - most of them aren't too bad off.
The fight is drawing to a close, one way or another... (/evil laugh)

Ahahahaha... XD;
Those goblins are so lucky Luca isn't Level 3 yet! >.<
Outsider
Luca, it looks like you inflated your Vilstraks a bit the last time you attacked with them. I didn't catch it at the time, but you had them at +6 to attack instead of +4. Was this a typo?
Also, reviewing your creatures on the summon list, I'm noticing a rather high incidence of multi-attacks and powerful specials. Not going to change anything now, but once this adventure draws to a close we may need to revisit your template. ;)
Female Human Summ (MS/VC) 5 | HP: 29/29 | AC: 12 (16), T: 12, FF: 10 | Fort: +1, Ref: +3 Will: +5 | CMB: +1, CMD: 13 | Init: +8, Perception: +3 (Fluffy: +5/Scent) |
V1 and V3 were flanking their target. V6... wasn't. That -was- a typo. And yeah, feel free to let me know if there's anything on the list you want me to change/remove.
(Incidentally, those specials? Much less helpful when you realize that many of them might affect her allies, too. XD; Actually kind of inconvenient. No worries, though - I'm happy to work with you to find something you're okay with me having.)

Think he's only going to get two bugbears :(
Technically Tyrus made a roll earlier to know about goblionoids.
Any chance of another roll to work out what might break their morale? Lacking Dogs and Horses, the best I have is throwing their dead at them or throwing a golden apple and hoping they fight among themselves.
Actually, Golden Apple might be the easiest way to break them. What do Goblins want? Gold? Food? Bugbears want Fear, I think.
Outsider
These goblinoids want nothing more than to kill you and get you away from your home, it seems. And given that these goblinoids are a remote and fairly primitive tribe, gold/treasure might not have any effect at all.
The simplest way to reduce their morale currently is to kill them and reduce their numbers, or to present sudden morale "shocks" like a countercharge that manages to make headway, or some other sudden change to the situation that doesn't favor them. Yes, your options are a bit on the limited side right now, but the enemy is already down to +1 morale so you're doing pretty well.

Did the pirates grab longspears, or pass rocks, like Tyrus said?
Outsider
No longspears to be had in the near vicinity, but there are plenty of rocks around, and still javelins by the platforms.
Outsider
Ah, good. I was hoping they'd make it through the wall before they ran off! Prepare to defend yarrrrselves!
Outsider
Tyrus, I love that you're going rambo - but that is a ten foot fall over the wall so you will take fall damage (1d6 nonlethal) if you fail a DC 15 acrobatics check (I'll roll it on the resolution).
-3 int M Human Human Male Wizard(Enhancement) 5, HP:20/21 CS 20/25 | AC:12(16) | FF:10 | T:12 | CMB 1 | CMD 13 | Fort:+1 | Ref:+3 | Will:+4 | Initiative:+2, Perception:+0 Speed:20| Enh 4/8
In that case, given Tyrus missed his action last round, could he have used augment on his Dex? Only gives +2, but he doesn't have acrobatics.
We need all on hands on deck to stop the existing breach.
At this point, we're going to fall. If Tyrus can stop or scare off the leader (and a couple of touch attacks might make the difference) we've got a chance.
Plus, I think there's a little bit of Tertius left, and Logan was his friend.
Female Human Summ (MS/VC) 5 | HP: 29/29 | AC: 12 (16), T: 12, FF: 10 | Fort: +1, Ref: +3 Will: +5 | CMB: +1, CMD: 13 | Init: +8, Perception: +3 (Fluffy: +5/Scent) |
*Shakes fist* I knew I wanted to be Level 3 before this. XD ...On second thought, maybe I should have had Luca use her eye power on the boss. o.O Next round, maybe?
Outsider
I'm not so sure you're going to fall. Dante is a mean combatant, there are still three Vilstraks out there, and you've got seven pirate allies up.
However, yes, we'll give Tyrus the augment to dex. We'll believe that he planned all along to launch himself over the wall and attack the rear. :)
Quite frankly, I probably should have had some of the goblins hack up Logan from pure spite (seems in keeping). But I didn't want to send a former PC off like that.

Yeah, if you had I wouldn't have been half as tempted to jump, and probably wouldn't have moved Tyrus to the gate.
Makes sense for Bugbears not to off a dying guy though: who are you going to torture then? I and Tyrus figure they're probably going to drag him away if they start running.
Augment to dex also makes his acid blast more reliable (if just as weak), if that helps...

Just declaring intent for next round in case something happened, and to check if there's going to be a problem.
If he's NOT down, then put him down and gibber.
If BC is down (which seems likely), Tyrus will try to scare the goblins by making it look like he's some sort of monster. This probably means cutting out the leader's heart, reaching into the cavity and manipulating bits to make it seem like the leader is being kept from death for the purpose of torture.
At some point he's going to point one bloody handed finger at a goblin and say 'that one next' at whatever one he thinks is about to go down.
Also, if he moves or stands he'll provoke AoO, right?
Outsider
Reviewing your post a bit late: yes, his attempt to stand up should have provoked an attack of opportunity. Why don't you roll that first thing in your next post? In case another one happens I will duplicate your AoO roll.
Also, I suppose I'll just give these away so you can plan accordingly if you manage to kill him: The Bugbear Commander has an AC of 19, with Touch AC 11, and 30 Hitpoints. Another 3 damage will knock him unconscious (which of course, pretty much means dead).

Luca: given that, did you want to switch to the goblins?
Poor Tyrus, he's just not that scary.
