The group has acquired significant funds, but now must deal with an ailing wizard. They set out to follow a clue delivered by a cryptic stranger in a dead city, in the hopes it will lead to a cure.
You all seem to be assuming Fluffy (I'll call it that in discussion... gotta thing of something good for gameplay) took Pirate #6 down... :)
Rednal, you can still switch the order to an either/or if you like. "If Pirate 6 goes down Fluffy will move, otherwise it'll stick around" sort of thing. Though given the sudden threat from the other side...
Also, if Logan hasn't posted in a couple hours I'll DMPC and move us on. Must keep up the pace in the beginning! I'll probably just roll for how he responds to Jylla. Any suggestions for what the roll should be? Wisdom? (which is the wiser course? ;) ) Simple 50/50 1d2 roll?
I'd like to move Fluffy whether Pirate 6 is still around or not - as mentioned, the AC will hopefully protect it, and I'm more concerned about getting some power towards the left of the map then I am making sure that particular foe goes down. XD
Ah, and in terms of naming, I can probably come up with something appropriately Lovecraftian. ^^ It could casually mention its name to Luca after the battle and force her to make a SAN check make things even more awkward by forcing her to think about its existence when she'd really rather not. XD
So Sorry folks, yesterday I was pretty much lost due to going to the hospital, the surgery and recovery.
I just had back surgery to relieve my Siatic nerve from being pinched. I will be on and off but don't expect much from me until next week. Thanks for understanding!
I will put my efforts in here first before any of my other games. I should have a post up in an hour if not sooner, unless I fall asleep again.
Ouch! Hope you heal quickly, Logan! And no worries. If you don't post on any particular day I'll do what I did yesterday - bring you along and have you whack things with your sword when needed. :)
A reminder to all that that is the general policy: if a player hasn't posted in 24 hours I DMPC them to move us forward (if necessary) or I just assume they did nothing of note.
This only applies to weekdays, which have a more leisurely pace. I post when I can on weekends and hope others will as well, but I won't DMPC anyone to force us ahead.
I understand that Mercy also you did an excellent job with Logan, I think you spoke better than I would have. Thanks for the well wishes and I hope to be on my feet quickly! No pain in my legs which is great but the incision location really hurts.
In light of the US holiday tomorrow, there's a chance I won't be posting. Feel free to get your actions/activities in and perhaps I'll have the time, but consider this a "three-day weekend" for the campaign.
On second thought, because I'd love it if Logan weighed in on the whole "who should fight the duel" thing himself, I'm extending the weekend to four days. Hopefully he'll post sometime in that timeframe!
But don't get complacent, my gentle snowflakes. We'll be back to our normal once-a-day-at-least schedule on monday!
Yes, I am - though, considering how close they are, I doubt either would have trouble noticing her move. XD It's more... trying to not attract attention from anyone further away.
Looks like we're decided then! Hopefully I'll get the next post up by tonight.
@Luca: Hm, might have to put a save on that ability... but for now we'll keep it saveless. Gotta help Logan out a bit against the enemy he just put himself up against. ;)
Sigh. By Norren, I mean Logan. GM posting while drinking is always a bad decision. And yet I'll continue to do it.
In any case, I'll go ahead and give a peek behind the curtain here and say that Logan is definitely up against a higher-level opponent, so I'm trying to give him some catch-up bonuses here.
Nothing I've seen, nope. I'll probably go ahead and post the next round a bit earlier than usual today, as I don't want to keep the non-dueling folks waiting around bored for too long. We've already got a couple solid charisma checks cheering Logan on, anyway.
Not a bad idea at all. Only difference is in being able to change tactics depending on the fallout from various actions. If you feel like going the fast-forward route, Logan, go ahead and post your next five actions or so.
Yeah, some pretty extreme rolls. With such high AC's on both of them though (lucky Logan had those charisma bonuses. Good job cheering, you guys) confirmed crits are hard to come by.
Probably fitting that your character also needs some rest, then. Art imitates life! ;) (hope your recovery hasn't been too rocky so far).
From what I'm seeing it seems as if nobody intends to take any hostile actions for the moment. My next post will probably take us out of combat unless somebody says otherwise.
Yep, they left you the healing kit so you could continue tending to Logan. You probably have something like a scalpel in there. Equal to a small dagger, perhaps (1d3 damage).

Sorry - Tyrus has a 'dagger' as a utility knife.
Was asking if they'd have taken it. If they want it he'll hand it over, he just wouldn't think of it as a weapon.
They would have taken daggers too, yes. Unless you managed to hide one on your person (say under your clothes) they'll have taken it. That includes yours, Logan.
Roll me an (assumedly untrained) Sleight of Hand check, Logan. DC 10 for keeping the knife in your boot.
For several days you are going to be in a cage on a boat somewhere in the ocean. Escape is probably not the wisest option (though I'm not going to stop you from trying!). Everyone can restore themselves to full HP.
Also, you don't need to modify your gear if you do not want to. Just remember that you do no currently possess your normal weapons (maybe put a little TAKEN tag next to them if you want).
