Because this campaign takes place in my homemade world of Airdwyn there are a few details that need to be offered before we begin.
Airdwyn Map
Major Cities:
Kel Fair- Known as the Diamond City, it is the seat of the human kingdom within the world. A very powerful shipping port, it is known to be clean and prosperous.
Kel Mar- Buried deep in the Marzol Mountains, this cavernous city is the last stronghold of Dwarvenkind.
Kel Hayl- Kel Hayl is the bastion of knowledge in the middle of Airdwyn. Built from the solid rock island in the middle of Lake Hayl, it is the location of the only Arcane college in the realm, as well as some of the best libraries and intellectuals around.
Kel Dwyn- What was once the most prosperous and revered city in the land, Kel Dwyn is now a hub of pirates and mercenaries. Named for the great man who first landed in Airdwyn, it no longer resembles the shining glory it once was.
Enclave- Very little is known about the secluded city of the North Wood. Originally built by the elves, it is said that the city is now run by an order of monks.
Kel Sohn Kel Sohn was the greatest city in the western half of the continent, until the Great War. Rumors float around that it still exists in somewhere in the middle of the Western Wastes.
Important Geographic Features
Marzol Mtns- This great mountain range bisects the country in half. Buried beneath the Northern peaks is Kel Mar. The Wall fills the only survivable pass between the parts of the range. In the south, the mountains become little more than hills that become the Sohndero Plains.
Lake Hayl- Lake Hayl is a strange natural phenomenon. A lake with a natural rock island in the middle. Seeing it as a potential stronghold, several generations ago the humans landed here and founded a great walled city.
The Wall- This gargantuan structure was built in the wake of the Great War. The royal families that remained came together in the Accord of 247. At the council they decided to build a barrier to keep the effects of the war in the west. The Wall covers what was the Marzol Pass and maintains the protection of the kingdoms.
