"It's over? How many of these guys are there? How does everyone fare? Any hurts?"
He is silent for a bit.

"Let's move on before they catch up."
He gives Jimmy a nudge to try to lead him to the room.
"I would like to see what's inside that room there Jimmy. How would you like that?"

When Jimmy shoves in the door, he notices that there is lots of clutter that was stacked up against the door, preventing it from opening easily for someone of goblin strength apparently. Jimmy sees some sparkly yellow stuff amid the garbage.

You have found the goblin's treasure of 20 gold coins.

The group gathers the coins and rushes down the hallway in the correct direction as suggested by Ezren. As you run down this hallway, you all hear Macu screaming "Come back, I'm lost! Come back, I'm lost. Dear Asmodeus, skeletons!" Given the tunnels and echoes, it could be coming from any direction, but it's not too far away.

After a few twists and turns, you see perhaps the same skeletons that Macu was screaming about.

Channel Effects:
Bravery/Valor: Heal—Creatures affected by fear may attempt another saving throw and receive a channel bonus on the roll. A creature unaffected by fear gains a channel bonus to its Armor Class until the end of your next turn and on its attack roll if it makes a charge attack before your next turn. Harm—This works like a standard channel (not halved).

Ezren’s +1AC bonus has dropped, since it lasts only to the end of his next turn, which has happened.

Moshley's last magic missile strikes the same skeleton, smashing it to pieces. Jimmy swings his morningstar, smashing the second skeleton standing in the water by the dead body. Tristain comes running down the hallway, ending up behind Jimmy.

Tristain and Jimmy hear the door behind them open and one zombie runs north please note I know opening a door is a move action, yet a zombie still runs through 30’ and attacks Moshley allowing Ezren an AoO on the Zombie (if you had combat reflexes, I believe you would get 2 attacks since he entered 2 threatened squares of Ezren). The last skeleton steps up 5’ and attacks Jimmy.

Because the zombie ran out at the same time that the skeletons have acted, I’ve decided to have them go together in initiative.

Zombie & Skeleton attacks:

Ezren & Moshley:

I will allow it for Moshley's first 3 levels, only because he's new to the game. When Moshley hits level 4, nobody will be allowed to do it. Also, don't do this for other players, as the rest of you are experienced players. I think that's fair.

Ezren:

They get a will save to half damage, but I believe it always rounds up, so no point in doing it for 1 point of damage. Both Zombies are still "alive".

Tristain:

I need to combine your map with Ezren's map, and I realize you guys posted about the same time. But, when I look at Ezren's last map, or using my map, (and remembering that unfortunately the squares are 10' each instead of 5'), a 30' move would put you at the start of the intersection, but not quite close enough to hit the zombie [please recheck my math, but pretty sure if you go back to my map and your map, it's a bit more than 30'. Jimmy is at the 15' spot from your starting position. I will allow you to use them as your next roll while in this encounter (just put it in a spoiler the totals and reference prior rolls) since I'm such an awesomely nice guy. However, you can't save that roll for the next encounter. WTF am I talking about, you'll be up next anyway, so I'm going to move you the final 5' for your round 4 action and allow you to destroy the zombie, but unfortunately it happens after Ezren get's whacked. So, that will be your Round 4 action. I hope that's okay. If I made a mistake, please send me a PM using very harsh language. But, I'm pretty sure it was 35'. I would have let you charge, but Jimmy was in the way.

Zombie Attacks:

Ezren, being the hero he is, gets in front of the sorcerer and absorbs a huge blow Ezren has taken 10 damage! Tristain didn't quite make it to the zombie hitting on Ezren.

The other zombie at the door continues to attack Jimmy, but is unable to do more damage to him.

Then, Tristain takes another 5' step and slices the zombie in front of Ezren, bringing it down.

Jimmy:

Channel comments in discussion thread (can't do both basically). Your acid splash needs to take the -4 penalty for range attack to someone in melee combat. Furthermore, I would probably say there is partial cover, but I think the -4 is enough to miss the touch attack (I'm unsure if partial cover stacks with firing into melee, I'll look it up or maybe you can tell me). If you disagree with the -4 penalty (he has something that overcomes it), let me know. In addition, Moshley has a spell failure chance of 10%. Furthermore, your CLW spell has a save/spell resistance. If you don't mind, can you give me those #'s in the future as Moshley does? As you know, spell resistance isn't a big deal at lower levels, but it's a good habit for when it does come up. The zombie will get a will save for half damage per the spell description.

Jimmy's cure spell burns the zombie, but somehow it manages to remain barely standing.

The chairman in his infinite wisdom to make this go a tad faster given the situation, is going to allow Jimmy and the Zombie to duke it out, since it's going to be difficult for the others to hit the zombie in the hallway. Jimmy, after my post, post your attack and Ezren needs to do a perception roll for the sword --which I advise not failing. You still have a 4 round lead on the Hellknight recruits if you wish to lower the DC.

---Combat is Over---

Jimmy moves to pick up the morningstar, but the Zombie is so stunned from the cure spell, he forgoes his attack and tries to defend himself but is smashed by Jimmy's morningstar.

The skeleton's armor and weapons are all broken (do they still have value if broken, or do you have to mend them first? -- let me know), and the zombies didn't have anything on them. Macu's body has 10gp on him. In an effort to speed up the process, I'm going to just assume you search the area for the obvious stuff. Non obvious stuff will remain hidden in all cases unless the people post in the gameplay thread.

Yes, you took one round for DC10. It's DC15 without it, but you have a 3 round lead on Hellknight instead of 4. However, it's more important to not fail.

The other members of your team tell you to hurry it up Ezren, but after looking at it for a few more seconds, you can clearly see it tells you to go East. This is obviously why Macu was lost and went South to do his eternal sit-in.

The group picks up Macu's gold, wishes him well on his sit-in protest under the Westcrown streets and moves east per Ezren's instructions. In the tunnel, you hear armor getting closer, and then "Commander, here's one. Is this the one we want?" "No, slit the dwarf's neck. We want the woman idiot!" You don't hear any scream.

As you make your way down another twisting tunnel, you think you see a hatch, but unfortunately some kind of large bugs are coming through the door down the hall in your direction. You'll have to eliminate the critters before you can open and get through the hatch. The black thing in the hallway is supposed to be the hatch.

A quick search tells me the cost of repairing an item is one-fifth of the item's price. So I'd say if we sell a broken item we'll only get four-fifth of what we'd get for the whole version.

Jimmy has mending by the way, so he'll repair everything before we sell it.

I posted an action for Moshley earlier, because I expected everyone else to have posted before either he or I would wake up. He said to use daze or acid splash as default, so I tried to have him daze one of the insects.
