Dr. Quark |

i can't remember if I know Invictus' secret ID. I know he knows mine. If I do, then I will reach out to Techno Priest and see if he can have any luck getting in touch with him.
Swift backs toward the suspicious pair while talking to a group of students. And these artifacts are some of the oldest Egyptian Artifacts. For a long time, Narmer was the oldest name we had written down for a person, which is kind of cool. Of course, now we know about Atlantis and Predeluvian history, but that doesn't negate Narmer's likely importance as either the king who united the kingdoms of Egypt or at least consolidated the power of the throne. Legends about him being a sort of scorpion centaur or a professional wrestler are, of course, up for debate as to their veracity. Take a minute here to answer the questions on your assignment before we move on..
Swift scans carefully across the room, looking at the room and the men with his micro-vision. He pulls his phone for his pocket and thumbs on his comm. Hey TP, I assume you can look at content on my phone. Take a look at these two and see if they show up in any law enforcement databases.
He shoots some pics of the artifacts, careful to include several shots of the two interesting fellows.

Techno Priest |

whoops. Thought I responded. Sorry!
Doc, you better check it out for yourself
A document with information on both men opens up on his phone. It contains their names, phone numbers, addresses, education, and work history. Anything outstanding, like prison time or time served in the military would be highlighted.[/b]
Would I gather that they are dangerous? If so, Priest would tell Dr. Swift to be cautious.

Dr. Quark |

Um, folks, I'm not sure I'm completely comfortable watching a couple of special forces or military intelligence or whatever these guys are at the same time as JEFFREY, GET YOUR NOSE OFF OF THAT DISPLAY CASE, no, sir, could you please get ...Boys, that is worth about a billion dollars and an international incident if you break it
At the same time as I am babysitting these high school kids.
Swift move toward Jeffrey and his buddy, what was his name, Thomas, or Tomas, or something. He bumped one of the soldiers on his way across the room, hoping his proximity would encourage everyone to behave.

The Watcher of the Freedomverse |

One of the Egypitian Nationals cut off the student trying to touch one of the artifacts.
Do not disrespect the ancients and things you do not understand.
While the other one seems to be in communication with someone.
He reaches the shoulder of his companion who is scolding the student whispers something in his ear and the both walk out of the museum.

Dr. Quark |

Swift gives the two men a thorough looking over with x-Ray and micro vision as they leave.
Concerned about the men but unable to ditch the students, he moved on through the Egypt exhibit before the boys veered into the medieval arms and armor. Nothing to get a bunch of teenage boys to take their eyes off their phones like visions of mayhem and murder with beautifully filigree.

Techno Priest |

Priest hails a cab and heads to the museum, bags of brand new clothes in hand. As the cab makes its way, Techno Priest keeps an eye on the men through whatever available surveillance is available. Before the cabby can ask for money, techno priest jumps out and starts walking around the perimeter. The cabby begins to yell, but then notices the fare was somehow paid for already.

Techno Priest |

Swift, they're at the Egyptian Consulate. Not sure that I want to pursue any further though. You and I can team up and run surveillance later tonight, after uh, this thing I've got going on.

Dr. Quark |

By the time Dr. Swift ended wrapped up the field trip and made it back to the offices, the new receptionist had locked up for the day. He went through the motions of entering a code into the keypad, knowing that sensors in the doorframe and the keypad itself were verifying his identity in ways far more complex than a 7 digit number. He took a shower and considered whether it was a better idea to break into a consulate or a museum, and whether he should try to watch the operatives he had observed or just keep an eye on what he thought they were interested in.
He decided he would prefer local crime over international crime.
Team, I think I am going to hand out in the Egyptian exhibit at the museum. Whatever those two were interested in, it seems like a good idea to keep an eye on it. If they are planning a heist or something, it might not help to watch them. They could have a whole group. I didn't see any security at the museum I can't handle. Go on about your business. I'll let you know if anything comes up.
Also, is anyone worried that VIPER is picking off members of our team? First Ares and now Invictus?
Swift dressed in a buttoned shirt he hated and an old pair of jeans. Heroing had a tendency to do bad things to clothes. He headed out the side entrance and hopped on a bus toward the museum. He would wait until the place closed and then make his way inside. Maybe pick up some schwarma at one of the carts outside the museum.

Dr Quark as you hide yourself within the Museum after closing you have your self in the Egyptian Treasures room hidden watching the artifacts.
The power is suddenly cut and you swear you hear something on the roof then the auxiliary generators fire up and the lighting is very limited through out the museum.

Dr. Quark |

Dr. Quark is eating a tiny sandwich and drinking a tiny latte. He is settled in for a long wait. He is approximately the size of a cheese puff ball and sitting on top of one of the security cameras in the room. When the lights go out, he sighs and thinks, I hate it when I am right
Keying his comm, Dr. Quark reaches out to his team
Hey guys, I'm here at the museum, and the lights just went out, and I hear some strange noises. Anyone flying about who can swing over the Museum real quick and take a look?

Waveform |

::I'm at the university and I can be there soon. Anybody got a good excuse for missing a history mid-term?:: With that she turns and heads for the south stairwell. It was a bit out of the way so people rarely used it.

Techno Priest |

Faxing your professor a note as we speak, courtesy of Doctor Swift. From the look of it, the back-ups are powering the facility. Whatever it is, it's intentional. Should I notify the police, or are we going to handle this one ourselves?

Dr. Quark |

Techno Priest beats Siri and Cortana all to hell. I don't know what's going on at the moment. I haven't seen anyone yet. I'm wishing we had just gone ahead and stolen these things and replaced them with replicas. I am going to shrink down and hide on the mask, if someone comes to get it, I will try to hold them off long enough for you guys to give me some backup.
So resolved, Dr. Quark runs across the floor and up the pedestal to the display case. There, he shrinks until the display glass becomes a beautiful crystalline hexagonal lattice and dives through the center of one of the hexes. Once inside, he finds a comfy spot near of of the mask's eyes and waits.

The Watcher of the Freedomverse |

Within the Museum you can hear something coming from the roof. You hear something slam and shatter as it hits the ground a mix of water ice and building materials in the hall of the special exhibits gallery.
Along with the foot fall of 6 people jumping into the museum.

The man known as Techno Priest breaks out into a sprint, tossing aside his loose fitting hoody.
He takes advantage of his long legs, using them to vault over debris in the streets. He leaps onto the hood of a car and into the air. Within milliseconds, a swarm of nanites pours over his body and solidifies him in a thin, yet impossibly durable, second skin. With his arms back, Techno Priest takes off at high speeds.
On my way! For the time being, how can I assist, Doc?
My turn will be spent getting there, and using Datalink in whatever way Dr. Quark requests, IE turning lights off, intel via surveillance devices, ordering a pizza

Artic Blast walks into the Egyptian Treasure room as he tries to take the Mask out of the case in Shrinks in front of him.

Thфth |

A portal open within the treasure room, swirling with mystic energies. The figure that steps through is tall young black man, with a shaved head, and wearing a oddly flowing clothes covered in mystic symbols, and bearing a somewhat Egyptian/Near Eastern feel.
The man's eyes glow with mystic power, and glowing wisps of magical energy trail from his hands and fingers. The magic gathers and swirls back into him as the door hanging in the air suddenly vanishes.
When he speaks, his voice is surprisingly soft, for a resonant baritone, but he speaks with a confidence that suggests he has addressed crowds of onlookers at some point before. "I had a feeling someone might express interest in some of these relics; individuals that have no business messing with things they do not understand. Now, you'd best stand down. Surrender, flee, it makes little difference to me, but in either event, you'll not be leaving with the items you came for."
Given that he is stepping through into the unknown, he'll shift his priorities to defense. Using a Defensive Posture, for a +2 Dodge bonus for the round. His major magic array will be set to Telekinesis.
He reaches out a hand and a nearly invisible wall of mystical force springs up, separating the occupants of the room from the entire wall/side of the room on which the mask's display case (and presumably other treasures) is located.

Dr. Quark |

Ok, some bad guys just showed up. I'm a tiny man trapped in a room with Mr. Wizard and Cold Nugget. Come in hot people. I have the mask, for what that is worth. At least for the moment.

Broadway in Freedom City |

When Broadway gets the chance he'll go insubstantial and phase through the wall to get inside, hopefully somewhere a bit away from the Egyptian room, as he's not exactly quiet, and doesn't want to pop in, in the middle of a bunch of guys that will shoot at him.

::We've got someone up top. Engaging Nanite Force Construct. Hopefully this'll keep that guy under control::
Nanites swirl into formation around Pulsar like fireflies. In a flash, a pale blue light emits from the nanites and hardens into a prism around the foe.
