HER RIGHTFUL THRONE
----------------------------------------
This is the story of the Blackfang tribe, a group of kobolds living in the sewers of a massive city and trying to eventually claim it for their patron dragon, Syrreth. Syrreth is a hauntingly beautiful black dragon female. Her egg was the only thing saved from her mother's den after a powerful wizard left her mother dead and the subservient kobold tribe's home in shambles. The Blackfang kobold tribe vowed to preserve their beloved leader's legacy by ensuring the survival and prosperity of her only offspring. They were going to make their leader's young into a queen.
After trekking across the surface world for countless nights, the Blackfang tribe grew dangerously close to humanoid civilization- they only evaded detection by crawling into a hole in the side of a large, winding stone structure. Unbeknownst to the Blackfangs, the stone structure was a broken sewer pipe. All that the tribe knew was that the murky waters, darkness, and stone walls of the sewer felt like their old home in the swamp, and in that swampy sewer they would stay. Syrreth, now mature, lords over the Blackfang tribe from her growing pile of trinkets and rotting remains.
For whatever reason, a band of young, spry kobolds have been chosen by Syrreth to lead the take over of the human civilization in whatever way they can. Whether it begins through petty theft to gain weapons, the quiet murder of passerby civilians to stir distrust among the city folk, or the eventual bribery of nobles, the scaly lizard-like characters strive to somehow beat the odds and leave this city under the power of their tyrannical dragon queen- as well as satisfy whatever personal motives they might have had for risking their life for their tribe.

THE BLACKFANG TRIBE
----------------------------------------
While Syrreth is the obvious queen on the Blackfangs, the rest of the Blackfang Tribe is organized into castes by job. Kobolds privileged enough to be personally appointed by Syrreth as an advisor make up the highest positions of authority within the kobolds. Any arcane casters, few and powerful as they are, make up the second caste. The third caste is made up of divine casters who serve as the tribe's priests. Lookouts and peacekeepers are the fourth caste down. Trap makers and crafters make up the fifth caste, and nest and lair tenders make up the sixth. The lowest caste is made up of hunters and farmers. While almost every kobold below the third caste hunts occasionally, kobolds are identified by their highest ranking position. It can be argued that a lower caste exists of cripples and the senile or mentally fractured, but most kobolds refuse to acknowledge these beggars as members of the tribe. Syrreth has no reason to get involved in the matter of kobold politics and ranks as long as she is universally respected as the Blackfang leader. What happens between members of the tribe do not concern her.
