Crom Iron Cudgel |

Crom with write the temple a credit note, "By my word, we'll pay you back with interest."
The next morning he prepares to leave at first light. "Let's finish things at the Plague House."

GM Tribute |

Recognizing the group is in a bind, the temple takes the valuable alchemical glue from the party in trade.
They agree to heal everyone and offer the group a fully charged healing wand.
Then the group settles down for a series of watches, not trusting what has turned out to be a compromised town.
Sovereign glue gone
Wand of CLW with 50 charges added

Tamxander Glenfarrow |

"I'll need to rest to prepare my spells. Can any of you use this wand? If not, I may be able to wrest some of its powers through my arcane training, but it may be inconsistent."
I have Use Magic Device thanks to a trait, but the DC for a wand is 20, so it's unreliable unless we're not in combat and I can just wave it around a lot.

Glorik Grimriver |

"I'll take the last watch then.
At 4th level Glorik will be able to attune himself to a single wand at a time, and use it without UMD checks. Dolgyrm can use it for now, and we can get another later for Glorik too. That will help mitigate the problem we are having.

![]() |

Dolgrym should be able to use the wand with no problems.
Belir settles down. His body still shaking from the gelatinous cube. Laying down he closes his eyes and begins to snore loudly. The sounds reverberate off of the room's walls.

Glorik Grimriver |

Glorik sleeps soundly, tired as can be, yet somehow is still disturbed from his slumber.

Perception: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (13) + 4 = 17
Belir hears the cry to arms as he stumbles out of bed. His head swims from the nights festivities as he grasps in the darkness for his axe.

Four orcs brandishing alchemical swords, what appear to be weapons created out of some alchemical substance, are ready to fight.

Tamxander Glenfarrow |

Ouch. I am in a miserable spot.
If I die, I'll make a cleric. ;)
Boxed in by the onrushing orcs, Tam steps back a short distance, trying to avoid leaving any openings, and makes a futile stab with his small dagger.
Small dagger attack: 1d20 ⇒ 7
5' step north, draw weapon as move, attack as standard action. No AoOs provoked, but probably gonna die when the orcs attack...
Normally I'd use color spray but there's no way I'm getting that off with a s#ty roll like that while in range of several enemies who'd get to swing on me!

Glorik Grimriver |

Glorik, thankfully with maces in hand, swings at one of the orcs nearest him. He swings his mace at the orc's face.
Melee Attack: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (18) + 1 = 19
Mace Damage: 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (6) + 1 = 7
Not two-weapon fighting this round. Glorik is attacking the one to the West of him.

![]() |

Belir shoots to his feet and grabs his axe from the corner of the room. His drunken roar is cut short as the room spins. He places his free hand against the wall. Who the hell are they?

Crom Iron Cudgel |

Crom will get up (move action), draw his axe (free action), take a 5' step (free action) and will attack the nearest orc.
Attack: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (3) + 4 = 7
Damage: 1d10 + 3 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 3 + 1 = 7
Crom does not sleep in armor - so he is AC 11

GM Tribute |

Crom misses a mighty blow, but Glorik connects, almost dropping an orc.
Poor Tam and Glorik are left in the middle of the room. The orcs swing with alchemical blades. Two swing at Tam and hit him, two swing at Glorik, one striking his neck and dropping him. The quick ferocity of the attack from the orcs is quite stunning.
Tam: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (16) + 4 = 202d6 + 2 ⇒ (4, 2) + 2 = 8

Poor Glorik. Every combat he gets knocked out. I'm going to have to take levels in Cheerleader for the practice I'm getting cheering from the sidelines! XD

Crom Iron Cudgel |

Crom will attack the southern orc and will then take a 5' step to his left to provide Dolgrym a flanking opportunity. "Dolgrym, finish this orc."

He stumbles from the alcohol he consumed last night as his vision blurs.

GM Tribute |

Crom cuts down the one Glorik had already wounded. Three of the blade wielders gang up on Crom. Crom wished he had his shield out, as two blade strikes cut into his ribs.
Belir: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (10) + 2 = 12damage: 4d6 + 2 ⇒ (5, 5, 4, 4) + 2 = 201d6 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 2 = 5
The three orcs on Crom feint high and then two land punishing blows to his groin. Crom passes out from the pain. One orc, overcome by wounds, passes out from a beating from Glorik and Crom. Belir takes a single slash (5hp) and continues to fight.
Three orcs remain versus two dwarves.

GM Tribute |

At first it appears the watch or the patrons of the inn begin to rally. The sound of what appears to be massive footsteps rushing down the hall has spurred the orcs to flee. One grabs his unconscious buddy and rushes out.
AoO for Glorik
Seeing Belir in a defensive stance, his opponent withdraws quickly.
Seeing the massive wounds on Crom, Glorik feels he has a single chance to save him.
Crom was at 6 -20 -1 no stabilization = -15hp.
You see Cham in her nightshirt and she gives you a wink, it is apparent she used some sort of magic wand. No relief force seems to be coming. But the sounds, the seem so real!!
Dolgrym and Belir up, may give chase

Glorik Grimriver |

Belir will have to save Crom, as Glorik and Tam are both unconscious. And bleeding out as well, though I don't think either of us is as bad off as Crom.

Dolgrym Giantfoe |

Dolgrym drops his warhammer and moves to Crom and use the wand of cure light wounds to keep him from dying. He then uses it on Glorik and Tam.
