The aliens retaliate with swords, though they are impaired.

Nick sprayed the same alien again. He had to take it down eventually. And trying to actually drown one hadn't worked any better.

Was waiting on Straightjacket, but I guess we've lost another...
MINOTAR, are you blasting the alien again?

![]() |

Blast it!! Again my post gets eaten!
Okay, just trust me, because my post and the rolls disappeared. But MINOTAR misses, but the alien stumbles right into Ghost's attack, leaving it stunned. Hydronaut blasts his foe, but the alien resists and retaliates with a sword thrust.
Hydronaut: DC 13 Dodge, if it fails, then DC 20 Toughness
Status:
Alien #1: -2 and stunned (MINOTAR/Ghost)
Alien #2: -1 and dazed, defenseless, immobile, impaired (Straightjacket)
Alien #3: -2 (Hydronaut)

Sorry! I didn't realize I was up again so quickly.
MINOTAR slams the butt of his acquired 'blaster' into the stunned alien's face.
Fighting: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (8) + 8 = 16
If it hits: Toughness vs. DC25
"Statement: Resistance is Futile. Surrender and you will not be harmed further."

Isikos stabs his opponent, sending it to the ground in a heap. The alien snarls as MINOTAR drives the butt of the rifle into its face, but it does not go down. Hydronaut blasts his foe again, but the alien is only disoriented by the attack. Ghost zaps his with the stun gun and at last, it goes down! Turning on the remaining alien, which is defenseless in Straightjacket's grasp, they easily finish the fight.
Battle over!
Actually, the alien facing Ghost and MINOTAR should have gone down last round. Forgot I was using minion rules, but it works.

Nope, no map.
The corridor widens here, going left and right, with a door on the wall behind you and what appears to be a small elevator opposite that.

![]() |

The door is unlocked and slides open at your approach. Inside, you find one very surprised alien, unarmed, working some controls.

![]() |

The alien, caught completely off-guard, is slammed by the unconscious figure, leaving it incapacitated.

Project M.I.N.O.T.A.R |

Dumping the pile of aliens in the room, MINOTAR takes only a second to review the room for anything close to an important function, and then prepares to lead the others to the elevator...
You can use my perception and technology rolls from my earlier post on this room to be sure it is nothing important for now. I can roll again once we actually reach the elevator.

![]() |

To MINOTAR's "eyes", the room appears to be mundane. There are a number of control panels, but he has no idea what they might do.

Jim Margrove - "Ghost" |

Technology: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (7) + 5 = 12
Ghost also gives the room a quick once-over, examining the Control panels to try and see if he can divine their purpose. As MINOTAR heads towards the elevator, Ghost says, "Hold on." He grabs the alien they had just beaten unconscious, then says, "Last time an electro trap got triggered and we were attacked. They may have some sort of biometric security that reads when someone not of their species uses the elevator and activates countermeasures. Let's use him to push the buttons, shall we?"

![]() |

Lugging the unconscious alien, Ghost and the others call for the elevator. The lift arrives and the door slides open, revealing a chamber large enough for the four of you (Isikos can become shadow and does not take up room), or for two of you and one alien.

![]() |

MINOTAR looks over the control panel for a moment before opening the panel and cutting two wires.
"Speculation: That should disable the trap."

Project M.I.N.O.T.A.R |

MINOTAR leads the others into the elevator, holding the barrel of his acquired 'blaster' pointing upward in basic safety and moving his bulk as far back as he can.
He also begins to think to himself as the 'elevator' starts to move.
'This is exactly what I was designed for. To fight an unknown enemy in his own turf and use the enemy's own technology and weapons against them. Yet...I sense an unease in my feelings. Am I afraid? Failure? Death? These are understandable outcomes. These humans...do they deserve my potential sacrifice? Are they all truly innocent? Or are they deserving of such attacks from such...creatures? I know nothing of these alien creature's true motivations...could they have a real grievance?'
Minotar senses the slowing of the lift and focuses on the door, gripping the weapon in hand for a quick shot if needed, and warns his companions of the change.
"Alert: Three seconds to door opening from MARK...two...one."

![]() |

The group crowds into the elevator and pushes the lift button. After a moment, the door slides open into a large room full of computers and control panels. There are four soldiers and two technicians present. As soon as the lift door opens, the guards hoist their weapons.

Hydronaut blasts his foe with a gout of water, but the guard is merely soaked and not hindered in the least. Ghosts bolo tangles another of the guards, leaving it Hindered and Vulnerable. MINOTAR snaps a shot at the lights and the control panel explodes, plunging the room into darkness.

Are the 'enemy' seemingly hindered at all by the sudden loss of light? - Is there any way we could get a simple map on this one?
