Voice cracking, Khellek continues. "It seems that the leadership of the Visroyal militia had been overcome by a troop of these horrid creatures. When their heads flew at the royal guards shrieking their foul words, the men were overcome by the sounds. "
He shakes his head sadly.

GM Valen |

Moved Kyra's token on the map to the storage room door.
Kyra does not hear any movement or other sounds through the door, which appears to be unlocked.

![]() |

Kyra enters the storage room.
She immediately looks back at the team.
"Team, this is a simple room piled floor to ceiling with boxes and crates. There is little space here and only a few small corridors between towers of dusty, mothballed exhibits. I can hear the sounds of mad cackling coming through the walls of the room to the east. Please come over here quickly!"

Glad that the combat was over, Coreguy heads over to the door with Kyra, and upon hearing the cacking, will go investigate."weapons at the ready, but be careful..."
Coreguy enters the room and heads toward the sound of the cackling.

Khellek joins the others. For the moment he puts away Bessie and has the scroll with words that may break the hold of the mist in hand.

Lini #121 |

Lini sheds a tear for the heroic Socrates, giving him a thumbs up for his efforts to defend the party. The hawk gives out a single caw and then vanishes back to the First World.
She rubs Droogami's head and whispers to the snow leopard. "Next time Droogs, next time."
With her animal friends acknowledged, Lini follows the rest of the group. She cocks her head to the side as she strains to hear the cackling that Kyra and the others mention. "Ah, I hear it too. I don't think its coming from in here. Its something loud enough to be heard through the walls... I think."
"Nigel, are you in here?"
Even if she doesn't here a response, Lini takes some time to search through the room for any sign of the curator's presence, or anything he may have left behind before being transformed.

Kyra listens to Lini and nods.
"Good hearing Lini! Let us go and check it out!"
Kyra casts 'shield of faith' on herself. Reflected in header now.
She mobilizes the others to follow and then open the door to the lavatories.

GM Valen |

Opening the door, you find public restrooms, which seem to be for the use of visiting clientele. Several stalls are here and a huge cesspool below collects the offal. Mad laughter echoes in this cramped stone chamber. The stench of sewage battles the cold of the mist, but through the haze can be seen smears of blood across the floor, walls, and ceiling, as well as the doors of several stalls.
As you enter, you see a fearsome sewer monster peering at you through the mist. Then, the mad cackling sounds increase in volume as a large, ape-like proto-creature, little more than a brutish animal, emerges from one of the stalls.
