Damage: 1d8 + 3 ⇒ (4) + 3 = 7
Kappi Matarito
Round 1
Kappi rushes forward pulling a javelin out. Im having some trouble with my laptop at home. Can someone move Kappi to one space southwest of Davosh, please
Though the range is farther than he usually throws, the rogue steps into his throw and casts the javelin at green.Throwing attack 1d20+8-2
Javelin 1d6+1
Im sorry Thunderspirit. I made a mistake. Doing this on my phone earlier I fracked up. The distance was 30'. Which is still close range for a javelin throw. And just close enough for point blank shot. Im not sure if it matters but I should have an extra +3 to hit and an extra +1 damage. Sorry, if its too late than that is cool.
GM thunderspirit
No worries, Kappi, we can make that work since I know you were having trouble seeing the map.
Kappi steps up and flings a javelin...
...that lodges in the side of Green!
Ali charges forward, her feet gliding across the snow as if it wasn't there! Unfortunately, the wolf dodges out of the way at the last instant!
Orm makes for an easy meal, but the wolves know a threat when they see one. They turn attention to Ali!

Edward & Vojtek to finish the round!
Davosh the Wanderer
Botting for Vojtek as he's getting set up on the other side of the world. I didn't see mention of difficult terrain, but the comment about the slippers leads me to think I just missed it. Assuming it's difficult terrain:
The barbarian snarls out a string of obscenities, one syllable for each step in the godsbedamned snow. (Double Move)
Davosh the Wanderer
Posting now as I have a weird schedule today.
Davosh will forgo the gaze this time to strike the Red wolf with his Stink Eye (-2 to saves).
GM thunderspirit
Yep, the snow isn't cleared so it's all difficult terrain. Hmm, didn't Vojtek get Nadya's magic snowshoes? Or did those go to someone else?

Round 1 Vojtek
Vojtek seeing a woman doing the fighting for him starts his powerful legs churning through the drift. Part of the way there, his foot comes to a sturdy rock.
The Northman coils his legs and explodes out of the snow in a mighty leap landing next to the woman who is stealing his thunder.
You're doing good girl, let the smell of your sweet and dainty flesh lure the beast back to it's death
Double move, yes I did take diff terrain into account.

Round 3
The young Varisian lad struggles furiously in the heavy snow, some of it is panick over seeing Ali savagely bitten by the wolf. He reminds himself that she is much tougher than she appears. He hurls another javelin at the great wolf who is trying to eat Ali.
Power throw 1d20 + 8 + 1 - 1 ⇒ (15) + 8 + 1 - 1 = 23
Javelin 1d6 + 1 + 1 + 2 ⇒ (6) + 1 + 1 + 2 = 10
Ali'yanah D'ohr'hein
ROUND 3
Ali grunts at the viscous bite on her leg, but grits her teeth and withstands the trip attempt. She winks at Vojtek, shifts over to flank red, and swings away.
attack: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (17) + 7 = 24
damage: 1d10 + 3 ⇒ (9) + 3 = 12
GM thunderspirit
Kappi has a clear shot at Blue, and his javelin lands in the haunches of the wolf!
Ali's attack puts Red down!
The elf's five-foot step gives Edward the non-melee shot he needs and finishes the fight!
Out of combat!
Davosh the Wanderer
Davosh, in a weird bit of compassion rushes over to the boy. "Are you okay boy?"
Ali'yanah D'ohr'hein
Ali wipes her blade on the fallen wolf, and takes a small taste of its blood in her now-familiar ritual. Limping slightly, she wets her hand more thoroughly with the wolf's blood and hobbles to the barbarian who was almost in the nick of time. She smiles sweetly and offers him her bloodied hand.
Sorry I stole 2 kills there, Vojtek. Perhaps you'd like an extra helping, since "the blood of our enemies makes us stronger..."
Edward W.Fell
|
Walking towards the boy that Davosh is concerned about Edwards limp becomes a bit more pronounced while the life link makes a tingle run up Ali's leg.
Good job everyone. With your permission Nadya I will look over the lad and make sure he's fine, and if not do what I can for his injuries.
Ali will get totally healed, and the lad will receive Edwards life link, and his skill in first aid. After that I will cast to heal myself. The only question is, do we have any more encounters today? If so I will roll, if not then I won't bother keeping track of spells.
GM thunderspirit
Orm is frightened but unharmed. He is wide-eyed at Davosh, but silently nods in answer to his inquiry. You return to the encampment and Nadya is overjoyed by his safe return.
Davosh the Wanderer
"Bah! A silly maneuver from a silly boy.... unless he's destined for greatness, in that case..." Davosh returns to his inscrutable thoughts.
Ali'yanah D'ohr'hein
Once they're safe and everyone's emotionally recovered, Ali will speak to the children. You kids need to stay together! This is a savage land, and you won't help anything by running off alone. DON'T GO ANYWHERE ALONE AGAIN. She gives Orm a particularly stern look, then gives Nadya a nod and leaves them to their own devices.
GM thunderspirit
The rest of the evening is uneventful, and in the morning, you set out again. By mid-afternoon, the journey has wound its way into a small wood. A rough wooden cabin with smoke rising from the chimney can be seen just inside the copse, and a strikingly-beautiful, red-haired woman steps out onto the porch, hailing you and asking for
help.
Kin ye help me, travelers? I am Sylgja, and me husband Finngarth, he's been taken by a moss troll nearby! Oh, I need ye to rescue him...or avenge him, if need be!
Davosh the Wanderer
Davosh approaches the lass (actually he approaches a little too much for anyone not from Kelish culture.) He eyes her intently with the Normal Eye, making sure this isn't some ruse to get us alone...Sense Motive: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (5) + 2 = 7. Completely sold her her request,
"Aye lass, we'll help. We're passing through anyway. Moss troll you say?" Knowledge (Local): 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (16) + 12 = 28. Davosh then gives everyone (especially Vojtek and Liska) a detailed explanation of everything to do with Troglodytarum Muscosci.
After he's finished (which is only when Liska jumps on Vojtek and wanders off) he checks for options to bring fire and acid.
GM thunderspirit
Yes! Sylgja says, excited that you seem to have agreed. I can offer you shelter for the night, and a magical treasure that belongs to Finngarth if you will only return him to me!
Her long, flowing cloak dances around her as she spins and sets off to lead you to the mossy cave where the troll lives. It's a short few minutes, during which she effuses to Edward about Finngarth and trolls — she hates trolls — and the life in Irrisen: it's hard but she and Finngarth have each other and that's what really matters.
The light inside the immediate entryway is dim light; beyond 30 feet, it's dark. Without darkvision you will need a light source.
Davosh the Wanderer
After casting Mage Armor and Guidance , Davosh dances some lights inside. Then he looks at his comrades somewhat sheepishly and lights a rather mundane torch. Utterly convinced that Ali is judging him he replies with, "FIRE!"

Kappi Matarito
The rogue looks a little nervous but he moves forward with his senses on high alert. Besides the troll, he knows the party is counting on him to find any traps. He recalls how he failed to find a trap on the first day he started adventuring in this unnatural winter. He hopes his skills have grown enough.
He holds his magic sh sword in one hand and flask of alchemical fire in the other. He whispers back to Vojtek, Keep that torch near to light the way for me.
I moved both Kappi and Vojtek on the map up to the intersection.
The rogue stops and studies the intersection for clues. He also stops and listens for a moment. Assuming there isn't something terribly obvious like an attacking trolls...
GM thunderspirit
The cave is damp as well as cold, but at least is is out of the winds. Kappi shivers slightly as he moves in; he doesn't see any traps, but continues with trepidation. At the intersection, he notes that it continues forward, but also branches right and left.

since you make no mention of the crazy blue/purple swirling vortex of doom, I'm going to assume that is Davosh's dancing lights spell? Please let me know if that is something else Kappi should address
Knowing that the Ancestors speak to Davosh, the Varisian lad goes left with perfect confidence. Though he still hopes his trapspotting ability is working overtime.
I moved Kappi and Vojtek on the map again
Come on rest of party, lets keep moving.

My usual line about oozes goes something to the effect of "did you roll a 1? No? Then you hit."
Except, um, Ali, well, rolled a 1. ;-)
