  • Hey guys. I've got some homework here that I'll try to get through today. This will help with wealth confusion. :-) I'm still ill and behind on school work, so it might be the end of the day.

Ali looks on with some trepidation as Kappi casually juggles a tangle foot bag, a bottle of ale, and a flask of alchemical fire. At one point he even stumbled slightly and had a great look of horror on his face, but she quickly realized this was part of his schtick, as he smoothly recovered and easily kept it going. Then a few seconds later he tossed everything very high in the air. He quickly fumbled open his bag of holding and caught each one as it came down.
So, Artrosa sounds really interesting. What do you think we will find in the dungeons beneath? The lad's voice is rapt with imagination and wonder.
Are we getting going soon? I picked up some taters and garlic this time incase Vojtek can catch us another brace of coneys.

Kicking my ass, it is. —Yoda

The following morning at daybreak, Korag Kaag and a pair of guards meet you at the edge of camp, along with a grizzled veteran centaur, whom you have all seen about but to whom have not been introduced.

Korag Kaag remedies that in short order. Outsider friends, may I present Erdij. He shall guide you to Artrosa. By my command, he can go no further — he shall not enter with you — but will safely escort you there.

    DC 20 Sense Motive:
You see Korag Kaag and Erdij share a look, one which suggests he is there just as much to ensure you do not cause trouble as to see you through it.

You are ready then? she asks.

Housekeeping: I've got everyone at 7th level, yes? Davosh, I need you to update your header to be accurate.

Erdij leads the party along the small river away from the camp. He is soft-spoken but amiable, and is more than willing to share his flask with the party — there's more where that came from! he says with a rolling laugh.

He asks some questions about you, where each party member is from and what it's like there, and pays rapt attention to the stories of Taldor, of Whitethrone, and of the Dancing Hut.

In a few hours, the city of Vurnirn comes into view, across the shore on which you stand where it feeds into the Myrfrus River. Erdij explains that Vurnirn (which translates to Centaur's Cliff in the Common tongue) is a centralized meeting place for all the centaur clans of the Hoofwood and beyond, but has few permanent residents. Its markets are well known, however.

For game purposes, you can liquidate all the various goods you have and turn them into cash. There's a 67% chance that anything you want for 5000 gp or less is available here. Go shopping for real this time, folks! ^.^

I presume that's a STR score +5, not the enhancement bonus, which would be a little above the 5000 gp threshold. ;-)

    1d100 ⇒ 47

They would. It requires the Exotic Weapon Proficiency feat to properly wield it.

Character Sheet | Tactical Map | XP

Well let's call it a normal composite bow with the +5 Strength mods to it (I didn't realize Orc Hornbow was exotic). Or maybe they can add some sort of stiffened to the composite bow Vojtek is currently wielding. Something to increase the draw to an unreasonably high amount.

Vojtek doesn't whistle, and his stoic mein is focused in the middle distanc e lookijmg for threats - but the slightest hint of a smile plays at the corner of his mouth at the sheer pleasure of travel and adventure in the company of his friends.

He has his new bow in hand, and a quiver of arrows over his shoulder. After about 20 minutes, he calls a brief halt to adjust the way the quiver hangs on his small frame. Once he has his new gear adjusted properly, he nods and the morning sunshine once again plays across the road before him, urging him onward toward the unknown.

The day is gloomy and overcast as the party moves up the river. The trees of the forest begin to dwindle as the path winds by the running water.

As the group reaches into edge of the Hoofwood, spatters of snow fall here and there, while the wind, already frigid since departing Vurnirn, steadily grows stronger heading into the steep canyon dug by eons of the Myrfrus.
