Woops! My bad, missed the grease spell. So mongrel will drop its club before everyone attacks it and we'll say it just delayed and then reaches for its club.

The mongrel's club drops from its hand, shortly before it is pounced on by Jinxx and stabbed by Sarkast. Somehow, it manages to remain upright. But it not a good life.
Having delayed its action, it leans over to grab the club, leaving it open to attacks of opportunity. This leaves it open to Jinxx who takes it down with a vicious bite to the throat.

GMPCing Ayesha. That said we're entering a long weekend and so there'll be no requirement from anyone to post after this next round starts up. :D I'm also changing up my combat tracker again.
Ayesha throws out an acid splash and then swings with her dagger. The dagger is blocked but the acid flies directly into the face of the mongrel, who shrieks but manages to fight on through the pain.

Wenduag begins blinking her eyes rapidly. She appears to have sight but is still unable to act.
The mongrels crouched behind their cover reload their crossbows and fire, this time aiming for Sarkast and Jinxx in vengeance for their fallen comrade. Sarkast neatly ducks his bolt, and one goes straight for Jinxx's face but the bolt bounces off the invisible shield on the eidolon.

Ayesha flinched as the mongrel's club slammed into her. The breath was driven from her and she could hardly speak the words to her next spell. Still, she attacked with the blade in her hand, trying to deliver a dangerous spell through the attack.

Jinxx leaps at the mongrel, almost knocking the crossbow from its hand. It shrieks as a large claw wound opens up.
Meriui moves in to the forefront of the fray, his shield kept close before he lunges in at the mongrel who was badly wounded at the start of the fight.

Thora fumbles in her pack and produces a light blue potion which she downs. Some of her wounds close up and she grabs her axe, ready for battle.

The mongrels retaliate; Wenduag looks like she has lost the effects of the color spray. She shrieks with rage before she backs away from Meriui and looses an arrow at Ayesha, who gracefully arches backward to let the arrow fly harmlessly overhead.

Sarkast staggers back under the heavy blow from the mongrel's club. Fumbling in his pouch, he finds his remaining healing potion and downs it.

Sarkast beautifully weaves into combat, but the mongrel manages to barely parry his spear-thrust. Rowena's arrow goes well past Wenduag, who is starting to look desperate.

Jinxx snarls and sees the mongrel fighting with Ayesha. He runs right between Thoas legs and up on the body of the fallen mongrel and tries to sink his teeth into the still standing mongrel

Thora continues her rampage, regardless of her wounds. She hops over the barricade and slams her axe down at Wenduag. Her axe catches, and Wenduag lets out a shriek before she collapses to the ground.

Your weapons, the area around you, and the party itself is covered in blood and gore. The groans of dead and dying mongrelmen fill the area. You hear a faint call from up above.

"How the hell are you people alive?!" calls out Horgus incredulously. He is pale at the incredible carnage that just took place in the difficult, cramped battle. Anevia pushes him aside and she very, very gingerly begins to climb down the rope relying nearly entirely on her arm strength. Upon getting down, she leans heavily on Rowena. Horgus follows awkwardly, and Aravashnial takes a long time to get to the bottom.

Sarkast shakes his head. "If only this violence had not been necessary."
He checks that he has all of his spears, then looks over the fallen mongrelmen and their leader. After that he checks the door for any traps and stands guard while everyone else recovers and Aravashnial makes his way down.
You have revealed the next room, does that mean the door is open? Taking 10 for 19 on searching; if anyone aids that gets over 20.

Sarkast and Jinxx feel the burning from the poison again.

Meriui busies himself with tying up the unconscious mongrel while Sarkast loots the bodies.
Wenduag carried a wand, a potion of cure light wounds, a masterwork chain shirt, and what looks like a masterwork composite longbow (+1 strength) with eight arrows left. She also carries an obsidian unholy symbol of Baphomet and 34 gold.
Amongst the mongrels you find six clubs, three light crossbows, and 18 bolts. 5 gold, 4 silver, and 45 copper are found amongst them as well.
The wand is a wand of longstrider with nine charges remaining
After searching the bodies, Sarkast heads out into the next room and begins exploring. Three copper bowls filled with glowing coals hang from the ceiling of this long, natural cavern providing low light. The braziers fill the chamber with warmth and a soft orange light. In the center of the chamber stands a block of stone that serves as a table, lined with wooden chairs. An enormous bloodstain, maybe a week old, darkens the stone's surface.
Sarkast listens at the north and south doors, and hear nothing. Neither door is trapped or locked.
Please claim loot you want, I'll add the rest to party tracking in a bit.

Sarkast checks the exits and reports, "The way seems safe. Which direction should we check first?"

As indicated in the above spoiler tag, the wand is a wand of longstrider with 7 charges remaining. Unfortunately longstrider is a druid and ranger spell - nobody in the group can use the wand.
Thora packs up the rest of the gear, grumbling. "Does somebody want this bow? It's nice and all."
She also produces a large bag full of potions and begins handing them out. "There's no reason for me to carry these."
Everybody gets 2 potions of cure light wounds, 1 potion of lesser restoration - including Sarkast who gets a refill.
She stomps to the front of the group and hooks her axe over her shoulder.
"So, north door or south door?"

Ayesha shrugged at the loot, though she took her share of the potions. "I already got one of these," she said, plucking at her chain shirt. "If nobody else wants the bow, I could carry it to replace this one. But, it is really more of a backup option for me."
"That, however," she said, pointing at the unholy symbol, "should be destroyed. Unless, Horgus, that you think we would need some evidence of cultists to take topside. Other than our words, I mean."

Before moving on, Sarkast asks Rowena to check the wound he took. "I am feeling a bit off, as if my coordination were impaired. Is it possible I have been poisoned? Can you tell if it is going to get worse?"
OOC, I am asking Rowena for a heal check to determine if the poison has run its course, or if more damage is likely, before I take a lesser resto potion.
The scout gets out his compass, and considers their progress so far.

Checking over Sarkast and Jinxx, it appears that the poison has run its course. Sage medical advise would be plenty of bedrest and no fighting.
Sarkast pushes open the south door and the group moves in to inspect, which reveals a small kitchen. Old blood stains the floor of this small cavern. Barrels filled with scraps of fur and fat sit against one stone wall, emitting a foul stench. The two long stone slab tables are covered with skinning tools and piles of freshly butchered meat. Two wooden racks hold drying animal skins.

Sarkast looks around the room, keeping his eyes and ears open for anything. He avoids inhaling too deeply as he approaches the barrels of scraps.
Sarkast takes 10 for 19 on Perception, holding his breath as he approaches the barrels. One spear is in hand, the others in their quiver.

Sarkast takes a cursory inspection of the room, and he finds the hilt of a dagger sticking out of a rotting hunk of meat. He withdraws the dagger and immediately notices it to be of exceptional quality. There is nothing else of value in the room.

Aravashnial suddenly shouts "LOOK OUT!"his now-sensitive ears picking up activity. The door in front of Rowena bursts open and a previously unheard pair stand behind the door. A tiefling with jagged horns and horned feet snarls, gripping a shortsword as it stands protectively in front of a human woman. Both look like they've been sleeping.
The human woman bears a glaive and proudly displays a symbol of Baphomet around her neck.
"Assassins have come for me at last! It matters not, Kenabres has fallen and I am prepared to meet my Lord! Mat sul dirana Baphomet!"

A crackling red energy suddenly consumes her glaive and she strikes out at Rowena from behind the tiefling! As well, an ethereal, ghostly glaive flies out from over her shoulder to strike at Ronan. However, the magical glaive misses.

Sarkasts head whips around as first he hears Aravashnial's warning, and then the words of the woman. Running on his toes, he sprints past Meriui and hurls his spear.
15' move directly north drawing a second spear as he goes. Standard action to throw his primary spear (no range penalty because of the spear thrower, but soft cover for throwing past Rowena). I'm hoping that being behind Meriui and through the door might provide enough cover for me to make a stealth check, and if not noticed get to catch her without DEX bonus and get sneak attack. I'll make the rolls and let you decide if that works.

A patch of slick grease appeared beneath their feet, and Ayesha watched as the pair tried desperately to retain their footing.
