Spring attacking in and out of the thorns would be quite cool. I might be willing to take some damage to be able to do that. :)

Saphren has "sold" most of his rogue talents to be a better fighter. As rogue talents he has taken Weapon Training, Combat Trick, and a bonus feat. I think its time to reverse that and take some rogue stuff. Thinking either Canny Observer (+4 to important perception checks) or Resiliency ( +18 hp as an immediate action once a day when I drop below zero). Thoughts? Leaning towards Resiliency. Its actually 2 hp/level so it scales.

Honestly, I can't see resiliency coming up very often. It will be super handy in the rare moments that you need it, but Lyr's been pretty effective at keeping the group's HP near the top.

Next level you start getting Advance rogue talents, which is where the real fun starts. I'd focus on those instead.

I agree but I cannot save the feat. I need to pick something now. I want to pick up the Spring Heeled feats but need more BAB to get the Spring ability. So I need a feat or rogue talent now.

Thinking about it Skill focus Perception might be better than Canny Observer. Its a straight +3 but active all the time while Canny Observer has constraints.

Well, this exists now. If you aren't sure where to go with your feats, it's an option.

Also, this one which is basically just a decent AC boost every time you attack.

Or, since your build is so movement based, you could just go with Fleet.

I did not know about Vicious Spring Attack. That is pretty great, but I would also need Vital Strike, which I do not have. Its not in my herolab. Looks third party maybe. Where is it from?

I considered Offensive Defense earlier, but its better now since I have more sneak dice. Hmm. Not a bad idea.

Fleet is ok, but its only 5' Spring-Heeled Sprint will add 30'. I can get it at 10th level.

Oh, huh. It is 3rd party. Didn't notice that. And here I thought Paizo had finally tossed a little love in the direction of single attack striker builds.

Not to buff you guys more than you already are (although this very interesting fight setup is strangely underpowered, and that's with my thumb on the scale) but I think freedom of movement bypassing wall of thorns is in the spirit of hte spell. No damage.

Hey guys, I'm out until Monday due to chaos and bedlam in my life.

That said... yeah - the fight is weirdly underpowered. I love the idea and if I'd hjad time I woudl have build it to be more interesting tactically. That said just watching you guys whip out all your stuff was incredible anyways, lol

Curbstomp battles can be fun sometimes. It certainly let us test drive our new spells and abilities.

Ring of Sustenance might be useful, though "does not allow a spellcaster to prepare spells more than once per day" kind of defeats the purpose.

I dunno about the Spectacles - seems like the cash might be better than the small chance they would be useful

To be clear, we have not rested since we expended all the resources from the fight, right? That makes this much harder.

Lets at least take advantage of the loot we have. Do we have a total list? Here is what we just gained:

- +1 hand crossbow
- +1 light flail
- +2 buckler
- +2 chain shirt
- +2 belt of physical might
- endless bandolier
- potion of barkskin
- +2 ring of protection
- +2 heavy mace
- mw composite longbow
- +1 agile rapier (x2)
- mithral chain shirt (x2)

Saphren could use the +2 ring (its an upgrade from his +1). Does anyone else need it more?

He could also use the +2 mace and +2 buckler. That would allow him to tank a little more if he absolutely needs to. He does not like this idea though. :)

He would be happy to take that potion of Barkskin but recommends Brenna take it. What level of protection does it give?

Spells - what spells do we still have that can help us hide or run? Can Besh cast invisibility on us? It seems suicide to stand and fight.

Mounts - I am thinking we should try to get mounts if at all possible.

We have a house Moivas signet ring. Does that help at all?

This room we are in - should we try looting it? Are we currently pressed for time? I cannot tell that we are but I feel pressured to run.

Do we know the layout of where we are?

Yeah, barkskin would be a nice boost with Natural AC.

What stats does the belt of physical might boost again? I seem to remember it not being necessarily good for me (I would want +Str +Con) but someone should probably use that.

GM needs to tell us. A +2 belt of physical might boosts 2 of the three physical stats. Saphren has one already - his does strength and dex.

Besh only has one 2nd level slot left, so only one standard Invisibility spell, though I believe Zoso can also cast it. Besh could spend a bunch of Arcanist points for 3x Greater Invisibility, but that still leaves us short.

Ze does have Invisibility Sphere, though it's less convenient since we'd need to stay within a 10' radius of one another. It might be our best bet, though it might make travelling through the trapdoor inconvenient (though we could try that Featherfall trick again, assuming we can get through it without setting off a trap/alarm). On the other hand, the requirement for a password might keep us safe long enough to loot the room.

We'll likely have to steal mounts, unless there's something Besh can summon that could carry us (like an earth or maybe air elemental).

I don't think Besh has any useful loot.

You got the info you came here for - the next surface target of the drow,w hich is the elven homeland Kyonin.

With this info comes a handy map leading you to a portal to the surface.

But the problem is that Alicavniss destroyed your disguises, and left you on the top floor of her mage tower. If this was a video game, all the NPCs just turned hostile.

You need to get out of the tower, out of House Vonnarc, and then out of Zirnakynin to get to your portal - with the drow all trying to kill you. (probably)

My understanding is that the room we are in can only be accessed through a trap door in the floor. When we arrived, a password was spoken, and we were levitated up to this room from the floor below. I don't think we were told the height to the floor below.

Does someone have a bag of holding? I doubt we have time to start looking through spellbooks, but they will be very useful to Besh down the road.

Speaking of time - how long are we planning to stay here? Besh can cast Sending to warn our fellow surfacers, but it has a 10 minute casting time.

With Saphren halving this thing's movement we might be able to get through this fight without letting it into melee range. If we can keep back from it, we should.

I'm not actually sure what this thing is, but I know it's usually a bad idea to get touched by incorporeal undead.

Sounds like we are going to try to use the Tunnel Creeper to get through the wall. Then... Besh can cast up to 4 Fly spells (or 3 and one Invisibility Sphere)?

We could all huddle up and jump out with a Resilient Sphere around us :)
