Suny nods and smiles back to the helpful fllow. Then, seeing as folks seem to know what it is that they are going, she turns to Clara with a bright smile.
"Okeys! Lets be gettin' ye back t' ye folks, hey?" She suggests, offering a hand before starting to skip off. She stops, blinking,
"Oh!" She looks to Clara, "Maybe ye can be showin' every one else t'is where ye be livin'? Or descibin' tha' place?" She looks to her group of freinds.
"That ways. We gots some wheres ta' be meetin' up when we's gots all our stuffs t'gether!" She suggests brightly. (^_^)

Daven made his way to the tavern his aunt and uncle owned, he made his way to the basement to pick up the adventuring gear he had stashed in the hopes that it would be needed someday. It was on his way down that he first heard some strange noises and then saw a pair of beady eyes in the darkness. It was the dreaded Rat in The Basement!.
Pulling out his sickles, he feints left and runs for his pack. The Rat fall for it and Daven punishes it with a vicious slice removing it's tail. The Rat terrified at this dazzling display of martial prowess limps off for a hole in the wall.
Psheww...That was close Daven exclaims as he makes his way up top again.
If you see a rather large rat down there without a tail, give him my regards Daven says to his aunt and uncle. he then makes his way back to his compatriots to set off on a grand adventure!

The party meets up at the edge of town, after grabbing all their possessions. Joram has arranged for pack horses for you all, slow, plodding creatures, build for long, meandering walks. Nevertheless, they are better than walking.
The trip north will be a straight shot along the main trade road. Every town along the way is just under a day's travel apart, to allow for the ease of travel for merchants. Also, every city you come across will have a new and different trope to resolve. The game begins in earnest!

"Sunny" |

Yay~! (^_^)
Having delivered Clara safely home...
Sunny seems amazed anew at being introduced to 'Horses'. With other people's help she gets aboard the animal chosen for her and, for the first part of the day at least, is happy, excited and amazed at all the new wonderful things she gets to see.
By the afternoon late evening however....

XD That's funny!

GM Roycilo |

The trip toward the next northernmost city, Argilith, is thankfully quite smooth. After traveling late into the night, you arrive at Argilith late in the night. There are no walls, just a small town lining the main trade road, with a few additional streets. You quickly spy a night guard, a young man wandering the streets with a club resting on his shoulder. He waves at you, and points directly across the street from where he stands, at a building taller than those around it. The sign proclaims it's name as The Illuminated Shadow. True to it's name, it's reasonably well lit, with around a dozen hooded lanterns strewn about the outside.
The door is slightly ajar, and light and warmth emanate from within.

"Sunny" |

At the end of the day's ride.. Sunny virtually falls off her mount. Gathering her feet back under her self, she wobbles slightly as she helps settle the animals where ever it is they are to be kept for the night.
For a while she's more subdued than usual. Absently massaging her travel worn nethers.

"Sunny" |

"Aye..." She winces, "talkin' ta' peoples..." She hobbles after her friends, walking slowly after the day's ride.

GM Roycilo |

Upon entering the Inn, you are greeted by a blast of warm air. The fire still burns hot, even at this late hour, and there is a low table facing the door, with a bright-eyed young woman sitting at it. She jumps up, and smiles a welcoming smile.
"Welcome to the Illuminated Shadow! Rooms are a silver piece per bed, and I can make you a hot meal if you'd like. How may I serve you?"

"Sunny" |

Sunny moves slowly over to one of the chair and gingerly lowers herself into it. She offers the serving lass a return smile when introduced and nods,
"Um... some bathin'?" Sunny asks, "An'...um... whut's on offer fer vittles...?" Sunny inquires.

GM Roycilo |

"Well, since I work nights, there isn't much to do. Personally, I read often."
She points to a large book on an otherwise empty shelf beside her table. It's massive, the size of any other three books. She looks at it fondly.
"It's a way to pass the time. Unfortunately, there isn't much to do here. Although, if you're headed south, I think Dromston usually has their Founder's Day celebrations last for a few days. I heard they had a traveling circus this year!"
She turns to Sunny. her enthusiasm is replaced by professionalism once more.
"I'd be glad to draw you a hot bath! Baths are an extra 5 copper, but this polite gentleman has more than paid enough to cover it! I'll bring you up some food as well. I know we still have a good bit of pork roasting, and a wonderful vegetable soup!"
She thinks for a second, then her face lights up.
"Oh! I think it's early enough in the morning now that my mother will be up soon to do some baking. If you aren't asleep, I'll drop of some fresh bread as well!"

"Sunny" |

Sunny nods at the girl's explanation and, after slowly levering herself back out of her chair, follows the lass up to where ever the place is for bathing.
As the water is being prepared Sunny takes off her rather dust and grime covered shirt and skirt, "Might there be a ways ta' be washin' tha's tuff of'n these?" She asks politely.

"Sunny" |

Sunny smiles brightly back in reply to the cheerful lass, though whether she understands or not is a different question.
With winces of pain and pleasure Sunny slowly lowers herself into the steaming waters and sighs as her tired and sore limbs un-knot after the days riding.

GM Roycilo |

I wasn't sure if anyone else wanted to post before bed, but since it's been a couple days I'll jump ahead to the next morning.
You awaken with the dawn, and the sound of the sleepy city coming to life after a long night's rest. The inn is bustling with life, and the smell of delicious food wafts into your room.
You can hear the sound of people talking; the occasional laugh. It's quite clear this city has no idea the evil that was revealed in Dromston.

Daven heads down for a good breakfast, after listening to the conversation going on around him he whispers to his compatriots.
Do you think we should tell them about the circus incident...Ya know in case they show up here

![]() |

"I would think that it may cause trouble to spread trouble. These radicals need others to pass on their hysteria and craziness to keep going. I say we just talk to those in power and let them know."
Meg continues to keep her voice down and observe those around her with caution. As a former member of a network, she continued to look for those looking and listening around her with suspicion.

"Sunny" |

'Oh! Shrooms! I is lovin' lots'a shrooms!" She informs the serving lass eagerly and sits back to enjoy a hearty helping of mushrooms and toast.
It is about half way through her meal that another guest approaches and accuses Sunny of theft. The tanned Elf looks up at the fellow both with surprise and a a cheek puffing mouthful of mushrooms.
"Mph?" Is her eloquent reply. As the serving girl hurries over the other patron again points at Sunny declaring,
"She's stolen my shirt!" Again pointing an indignant finger at the tanned Elf, highlighting that indeed the shirt she's wearing is not actually the one she'd cast off the night before in preparation for her bathing.
Finishing her current mouthful and looking down Sunny returns the serving lass' innocent and questioning gaze.
"Oh? I founded it." Sunny explains to the girl and the fellow. First pointing to what she's draped in continuing,
"Lots'a 'em were jus' hangin' on'a rope. Out back." Sunny points in the direction of the tavern's yard where the clothes lines for drying washing are. The Patron continues to glower at Sunny, his gaze now taking in the serving lass. With a shrug and bright smile Sunny just shrugs.
"Is all okeys. They's lots'a 'em!" She declares, "I can jus' be goin' an' gettin' another." To which she simply begins to remove the shirt she's currently put on.
The Patron's eye bulge as suddenly a lot more of Sunny is displayed. The serving lass 'Eeeps' and quickly grabs the ascending shirt, dragging it back down over Sunny's all naturally tanned self. With a nervous laugh the serving lass, holding the shirt down securely over Sunny helps the Elf up and begins to drag her away towards the clothes line.
"I'm sure it's just a simple mistake. We'll just head out back and sort out the right clothing... right?" She asks Sunny, the other Patron and seeming every one else in the room in general. Sunny nods, continuing to smile brightly as she's lead away. After a short while everything is sorted, settled and returns to the regular morning calm.
Now wearing a much thinker skirt Sunny sits gingerly atop her mount.
"I dun't think I is gon'a be so happy come t'night..." She mutters warily as she contemplates the days trip ahead.

GM Roycilo |

A few miles out of town, the group sees an old farmer struggling with an overturned wagon. He is trying to get his old mule to pull the wagon of the ditch it has fallen into. He doesn't seem to notice your arrival, nor that of the cracked wheel on the side facing the party.
DC 15 Perception Check:
He also doesn't see the pair of armed orcs stealthily moving up to him in the wheat fields beside the road. But you do.

"Sunny" |

Perception:1d20 + 3 ⇒ (18) + 3 = 21
Sunny simply moves her horse over the side of the road between the fellow, his cart and the folks in the corn
"Hey-YA there!" She exclaims brightly... tough who to is any one's guess.
(^_^)

![]() |

Per: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (17) + 3 = 20
Meg notices some orcs near the farmer, and whispers to her companions in a quick hiss. "Orcs in the wheat!!"
Meg casts and she shrinks to small size (reduce person std action). The little Meg begins to advance stealthily towards the orcs, trying to keep unnoticed. She stumbles on a bit of farm equipment that some farmer left out, the hoe she stepped on barely misses hitting her in the head as the handle pops up.
stealth: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (4) + 14 = 18
Small size, +2 Dex, +1 size bonus, +4 stealth

Daven's ears perk up at Meg's warning and he begins looking around for threats.
Perception: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (17) + 5 = 22
Sir, let's back away, my compatriot tells me there are Orcs in the wheatfield Daven whispers
He makes his way by Meg

"Sunny" |

Sunny 'stands' in her stirrups and peers at the Orc shaped holes left in the field giggling brightly at the spaces the Orcs have fallen down in,
Perception:1d20 + 3 ⇒ (5) + 3 = 8
Was any of 'em Orcs holdin' cross-bows or other shooty things?
(^_^)

GM Roycilo |

The man, not possessing much of a poker face, looks around wildly. Not seeing any orcs, he does follow, though with a confused look on his face.
Sunny can't see the orcs where they lay, but did recall seeing a pair of javelins on the back of one of them.
Daven, however, has more luck. It turns out that they have moved a bit, army-crawling toward the overturned cart. They are swinging wide, trying to use the cart as cover.

"Sunny" |

Initiative:1d20 + 2 ⇒ (18) + 2 = 20

"Sunny" |

(^_^) Yah, just wait for the dice roller to be not so nice when we need it in combat. :P

GM Roycilo |

Dang! You guys did great!
Here is the roll for the orcs.
Initiative: 1d20 ⇒ 14
Okay, so we will take this in initiative rounds, but you are all before the orcs, so feel free to post in any order.
================
Round One
================
The orcs have crawled to a point where they are about 25 feet from the cart, 40 feet from the party. Daven has yet to relay his findings, and it appears that they are now crawling in a straight line to the cart.
