Elkin Stormborn
Oh poor Crystal. No reach on an Earthbreaker. <insert evil GM laugh> don't slip.
Guidance could help with that, too. :)
GM Red Box
Augar your heal will hit after the construct goes. Do not worry he will not be killing Ivar if still alive.
Consider yourself stabalized Ivar.
Bold may act.
Crystal, James Dont slip in the grease guys
Construct
Ivar, Vedia, Augar, Elkin , Xande
Crystal Blackhill
Crystal's aura bursts to life as she grows more and more frustrated with missing-
Moving forward she uses Elkin's boost to ensure she makes it across the grease-
Reflex: 1d20 + 1 + 1 ⇒ (18) + 1 + 1 = 20
She slides across the slick with a wild smile, raising her earthbreaker up high as a particularly strong glow emits from its massive mallet end Destined Bloodline: Destined Strike, +1 to Attack. Rage engaged!
Attack: 1d20 + 6 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 6 + 1 = 8
But even with destiny itself wrapped into her weapon, the weapon misses though she now stands over the robot. Wiping some of the grease from her face she frowns "This is more than embarrassing! ALL I WANTED WAS A FEW WONDERFUL PARTS TO CASH IN." She screams at the still prone construct.
GM Red Box
Crystal shows her surefooted nature by steping though the grease but may have focused on it too much as her swing goes wide.
Botting James
James glances at the grease
Reflex: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (8) + 5 = 13 DC14
and slips, falling prone.
The construct attempts to right itself.
Reflex: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (11) + 2 = 13 but fails staying prone. It still swings at Augar
Slam: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (2) + 6 = 8 and misses by quite a bit.
Bold may act.
Crystal, James Dont forget the grease.
Construct
Ivar, Vedia, Augar, Elkin , Xande
GM Red Box
Augar, attempting to defend his fallen companion, deals the creature a mighty blow. The machine is clearly taken a large amount of damage at this point and has begun making grinding noises when it moves.
I has also begun to generate a loud repeated tone, probably attempting to notify any friendly creatures or constructs to its peril.
Xandar Coulsong
Remember to use my Inspire Courage. You had it for 2 rounds now.
Engineering: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (3) + 7 = 10 Xandar tries to assess how damaged the construct is, judging if he should risk getting closer to attack.
He thinks it better to risk a hit to stop the construct attracting others of it's kind to come investigate the sound.
Xandar keeps singing as he steps closer to silence the construct.
"When I take a step into the darkness, even if I run away from fear,
Don't look back, don't stop believing, I can't run from myself.
How far should I go? I lose my control. It's fine to fumble in the dark.
I hold on tight to the truth I'm about to lose sight of."
Attack: 1d20 + 3 + 4 - 1 ⇒ (18) + 3 + 4 - 1 = 24 Club
damage: 1d6 + 4 ⇒ (5) + 4 = 9 Club 2handed
GM Red Box
Clearly having had enough Xander steps up to the machine and swings. There is a shower of sparks as the constructs head is separated from its body.
The area is no quiet except for your breathing, you do not hear anything else approaching so it appears the distress call was ineffective.
You have already effectively searched the rooms you are in and have traveled though. There is a single door to the south and another set of double doors to the east. The south door is open and appears to simply contain rubble (nothing to find).
Wow Xander is Crystal Jr it appears with that swing
Xandar Coulsong
"That was a tough one, guess we better help Ivar. I'll administer one of the potions we found earlier." Xandar says taking one of the cure light wounds and pour it carefully down the throat of the paladin.
Cure: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4
Vedia Merenda
Vedia examines the machine for any interesting parts, and then lets someone better a looking things over go first to the east. "Take a look. Let's see how the doors open."
Know Engineering: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (4) + 8 = 12
James Quintik
"Let me help you with that, lass." James finishes loading his pistol and steps up to assist Vedia.
Knowledge, engineering Aid: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (12) + 10 = 22
Xandar Coulsong
"I might say that would be a good idea Ivar, unless Augar decides to channel the power of his god." Xandar says as he helps Ivar up on his feet again.
Engineering: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (12) + 7 = 19
GM Red Box
A search of the construct provides little of use the creature is fairly well damaged and doesn't seem to break down into much useful. You do find a small compartment that contains what appears to be a broken yellow and black gun.
The gun is clearly a piece of very advanced technology and is beyond the knowledge of the party but there may be someone in town that can help with it.
You know of a man, Sanvil Trett, who is the most knowledgeable outside of Khonnir. Sanvil has a shop in town but spends a lot of time traveling as well, you think he is currently in town.
The other interesting thing you discover is that there doesn't appear to be an on board power source.
Elkin Stormborn
Knowledge (local): 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (1) + 5 = 6
"I just don't know much about all this new tech. I guess we can keep that 'e-pick' now, though," he says with a laugh. He moves towards the east doors, and examines them to see if he can figure out how to open them. "Hey, maybe it could help with this door?"
Perception: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (6) + 7 = 13
Ivar Stonewrought
Knowledge(Local): 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (18) + 3 = 21
"Outside of Khonnir, I think Sanvil Trett would be a good man to tell us more about this thing." Ivar says, examining the gun. "He's in town at the moment, I believe." Threat dealt with, Ivar takes his time examining the door. Taking 20 for a 24 Perception
James Quintik
"Good call, as this certainly looks interesting."
Perception Aid: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (1) + 6 = 7
Apparently all the new tech has James a bit distracted.
Xandar Coulsong
"Let's bring it with us, I'd love an opportunity to study it once we have saved Khonnir. So let's see of we can get around this door." Xandar says studying the door.
1d20 + 4 ⇒ (19) + 4 = 23
GM Red Box
The doors can be pushed open with two people working together.
In the next room two strange machines sit to the north and south against the walls here, their faces appear similar to coils of metal tubes with several nozzle-like protrusions pointing into the room itself. There is a second set of doors on the other side of the room.
James Quintik
"Wow, this is an amazing find. No wonder Khonnir was eager to return. But could he have gotten this far? Well, I suppose he wouldn't have tried to steal anything in that first room..."
GM Red Box
I may not have been explicit enough with Sef's information. Khonnir went this direction and has not come back though.
Ivar while you have very good rolls u have little technology experience. The best you can work out is that they are nozzles that when active will probably spray a liquid into the area, completely covering the room. You are completely confident it is not a trap.
Vedia Merenda
"Interesting machines. If they aren't a trap, let's see what's on the other side of this door." Vedia helps to open the second set of doors.
Xandar Coulsong
Engineering: 10 + 7 = 17
Xandar also gives the machines a quick look. "I like to give them a quick look before we explore more. Just give me a minute or two before we proceed."
Elkin Stormborn
Elkin moves into the smaller room with the others, and looks confused when Ivar offers his explanation of the nozzles. "What would be the purpose of that, if not a trap? Is this chamber for... what? Cleaning? Do they just spray water, or maybe soap?"
Elkin doesn't need any healing at the moment.
GM Red Box
Xander you did not glean any additional information.
When you guys are ready the doors to the next area can also be pushed open with two people. I am in no way rushing you, you should take the time to investigate as you like, just letting you know.
James Quintik
"Let's see what's behind door #2."
James starts to try to open the door, motioning for others to lend him a hand. While he is highly intrigued by the tech, he is most concerned with finding his friend first.
GM Red Box
When you apply pressure the grey metal doors slide back into the wall revealing a passageway of rough stone with a sand covered floor. As you move half way down the passageway you can see that the spaces in front of you appears to open into a larger sand covered area, you cannot tell the size as beyond your torches / vision is is pitch black.
The sand is slightly lower in the center of the passageway and there are swirled marks thought.
At the end of the hall, in the sand there is a large (8ft or so) grey / white rock with pits in it that the swirls appear to continue around the rock.
Something appears to have been dragged down the hall and perhaps the tracks were covered by the swirled patterns.
It appears the stone itself was dragged forward.
It appears the rock dragged itself and you can see something moving though one of the holes in the rock.
The party is about 20ft from the opening to the cave.
Page 2 is a new map with tokens. I have left the past map as page 3 for reference.

Perception: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (10) + 7 = 17
Survival: 1d20 + 0 ⇒ (9) + 0 = 9
"These swirling patterns, don't they kind of look like someone tried to cover up a trail of some sort? I'm thinking that something was dragged down this path then the sand was swept around to cover up the trail."
Xandar Coulsong
Perception: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (7) + 4 = 11
Xandar sees absolutely nothing. "It might be Elkin, I can't really make that out though. I might still have some lingering effects from that blinded effect I got earliere."
Vedia Merenda
"I'm fine. I haven't been hit. Standing in the back reduces the chance of getting hit by something. Something has been dragged? Let's explore carefully."
GM Red Box
Feel free to talk among yourselves. I think a few people have not weighed in and no one has mentioned an actual action so I am holding for the moment.
Augar Battlehammer

Augar nods to Ivan and grasps his hammer and his holy symbol.
"Behold all around for I summon the Creators Divine Breath, The very one that sparked we dwarves to life!"
Channel Energy: 1d6 ⇒ 4
Xandar Coulsong
Xandar doesn't want ot be the first one through the doors. "Maybe we should start move in so we can look for Khonnir. Crystal, Augar do one of you want to take the front?"
James Quintik
"Thank you, Augar. I do feel better."
Perception: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (17) + 6 = 23
"It looks like that large rock has been dragged forward as well. Very strange."
James moves to the cave's opening, and then moves to examine the rock more closely.
GM Red Box
James, taking the initiative as the others hold back steps forward to examine the rock.
Unfortunately the rock appears to be the home of a many tentacled purple creature that lashes out when James gets within ten feet.
Suprise Round
Tentacle 1: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (6) + 3 = 9 miss
Tentacle 2: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (2) + 3 = 5 miss
The sand around the creature also rapidly turns into a quagmire as the tentacles lash out.
Within 10ft of the creature a DC14 Reflax save is needed to avoid being "entrapped"

Please use the map, you will need to zoom in on the left side.
Elkin Stormborn
Elkin moves up behind James to get a better view of the creature. He studies it, trying to recall if he'd ever heard of such a thing. Purple, tentacles, lives in a rock?
Knowledge: 1d20 ⇒ 6 (+8 arcana/nature, +5 local; additional +2 on the check if creature is alien)
If the Knowledge check doesn't reveal an immunity to mind-affecting abilities:
He focuses his gaze on the creature, his eyes glowing blue, and sends ill-will towards the strange thing.
Evil Eye for -2 to attack rolls; 7 rounds or Will DC 14 for 1 round
If Elkin learns that the creature is immune to mind-affecting, he will instead cast guidance on James.
GM Red Box
As the tentacles lash out Elkin gains some insight into the clearly alien creature. The creature can move and made the tracks around it with its tenticals. The ground around it will not only trap the unwary but will also damage them and may be how the creature feeds.
Will Save: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (9) + 4 = 13 - bahh
The creature wriggles under the gaze of the witch as its otherworldly mind recoils.
Crystal
Crystal attempts to step up to the creature

Senseing that one of its opponents has been snared the tentacle lash out at Crystal connecting across her chest with one strike.

Xandar moves up behind Elkin and tries to identify it.
