Tatical Map

The doorway is open and clearly leads to a passageway. You all manage to climb up the 5ft rise to the open portal in the metal wall.

The walls, floor and ceiling of this slightly curved hallway are made of smooth dark gray metal. Panels of lighter material run along the ceiling eight feet above. To the north and south the tunnel is blocked by walls of metal junk and rubble, while open doorways yawn to the east and west.

Finding nothing of interest you look though the doors at the end of the hallway. Inside you find a short hallway with another construct, like you fought at The Foundry, this one appears to be active but ignores you. Unlike the construct in The Foundry this one appears intact and is a substantially more intimidating.

There is another set of doors beyond the construct which either has not noticed you or simply does not care that you are there.

Crystal grins at all the names thrown out for her earthbreaker with a sigh "Hmmmm.... I don't know... I want it to represent me, why I wield it.... Light Bringer... That's a little closer." She sticks her tongue out at Vedia as they begin to look over the machine.

Crystal shrugs at the machine as she stalks past it passing her earthbreaker between her hands now and again "Well, if no one can know...." She sticks a hand out, encouraging others to stay back as she approaches. She locks eyes with the construct as she slowly rotates around it and into the next path. "I'll stare it down until we've passed."

Obviously, if it attacks her, she'll attack as well.

James approaches the construct, and starts to examine it.

He moves to try to open the next doors.


Before I forget, it looks like there was a masterwork sap, a rapier and another MW thieves' tools, so James will collect those items. He will also see if any of the armors fit, as there seems to be more combat here than he was expecting (and currently wears none).

@James- The armor fits you just fine, just mark the loot sheet for anything you are taking to use so it doesn't become gold at some point when back in town.

James you recognize that this construct is a complete version of the one that you fought earlier. There are not visible controls though you suspect it would be vulnerable to electric attacks.

The construct continues doing what it is doing as you pass and the doors open easily.

The northern wall of this otherwise empty metal room is a tangle of what look to have once been strange cages of some sort. Tangled amid the metal ribs of these cages are ribs of a more organic nature—the ancient bones of some sort of alien creature. Smaller mounds of rubble lie against the opposite wall. The bones are from six legged creatures but as soon as disturbed they crumble into dust.

If you move into that room after the construct you may roll.

Perception DC20:
You find a batter a set of grippers (vice grips) and a black oddly shaped tool

DC24 Engineering/Craft: Mechanical/Disable Device:

The black oddly shaped tool is an e-pick (short for “electronic lock pick”) is a small device that can be used to unlock and disable electronic locks and devices, much in the same way that a set of thieves’ tools can be used to dismantle mechanical locks and devices.

There is a single door to the south and another set of double doors to the east.

The south door is wide open and looking in you see the far wall of this chamber is a twisted mass of metal and rubble. Nothing interesting in here.

Vedia looks around the room. "How did they make walls of metal so smooth." She studies the black item. "That's very interesting. Between that and the brown wafers we're finding all kinds of interesting tech." She looks around the room and pokes through the rubble. "To the east?"

Elkin approaches the alien skeletons and begins examining them. It was his touch that revealed that the bones crumble to dust. "This is fascinating. These bones must have been here for ages. I wish they could be more easily studied, but they're so fragile!"

He follows along with the rest of the party, his curiosity growing. "The skulks mentioned a desert beyond. This is no desert yet; we'll have to press on."

"I believe whoever these people were and where they came from, they had techonology that is far advanced from us. I mean to be able to travel in the dark space, as some theories does on, would require a lot to have the 'ship' release gravity and enter the void beyond." Xandar says before turning to the bones Elkin is look at. "I think it is possible to study those, but I don't have my tools for studying ancient bones with me. I lost them somewhere after I left Absalom to come here. But ofcourse that is a discussion for another time better find Khonnir soon."

Botting Crystals attack

Seeing Crystals initial miss Elkin attempts to give her a little boost of confidence but it proves to not be enough as her Earthbreaker strikes the floor instead of the constrict. James however strikes true with a shot from his pistol that reverberates in the small space and damages the construct further.

The construct moves slightly away from Crystals flailing attacks while firing net at Ivar.

Vedia takes a step to the left, and fires her crossbow. She misses badly, and then she reloads it.

"I need a distraction so I can pull Ivar back and heal him" Augar called out holding his shield up and twirling his hammer.

Moving up to take a full defense action to stand over Ivar until back up arrives to distract the construct. As soon as I get a chance I will heal him.

As Ivar falls unconscious the construct reassess what the next biggest threat is and is clearly drawn to the actions of the other dwarf as he steps to protect his fallen comrade. The blond woman does not appear to be a threat.

Free action one more round of performance, standard action cast grease under the robot and sadly also James, but it's the only why I can try help distract the thing."

In the future when someone casts a spell with a DC please list the DC in the post, makes things much faster.

At Xanders comand a thin coating of grease spreads under the construct as well as the gunslinger.

Reflex: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 2 = 3 DC14

The machine clearly not expecting this loses its footing and falls prone.

Prone:

The character is lying on the ground. A prone attacker has a –4 penalty on melee attack rolls and cannot use a ranged weapon (except for a crossbow). A prone defender gains a +4 bonus to Armor Class against ranged attacks, but takes a –4 penalty to AC against melee attacks.

Standing up is a move-equivalent action that provokes an attack of opportunity.

I assume grease works on something with four legs unlike trip. Even if not I rolled a one so it is down.

Sorry, I normally do that but it slipped my mind today. But yeah every creature falls if they fail the reflex and 4 lags doesn't give a bonus as it doesn't count as a trip attempt.
